Ryuga could feel a presence approaching him. It wasn't Midoriya, the power felt different. Bakugo wouldn't come back to the room if Midoriya wasn't heading here. So that could only leave Uraraka. She entered the room, hiding behind a pillar that obscured the entrance. Ryuga allowed her to approach the bomb. Once she was halfway there, Ryuga made his move. In an instant he stood up, faced Uraraka, and threw a punch, the wind pressure created from it carving a hole through the wall right in front of Uraraka. While he would have preferred to have fought Midoriya, he wasn't about to give up the exercise just because he wanted a good fight. Besides, Midoriya couldn't control his power yesterday and one day of Ryuga's training routine wasn't going to change that. Ryuga lowered his arm and thought fuck it go all in. "Hello Uraraka," he said in the most dismissive voice he could manage. Uraraka looked at him in terror but also determination. Ryuga knew this was going to be fun.
The fight had just started and Midoriya was doing well. Bakugo had opened with a kick that Midoriya blocked, nearly taking Bakugo out of the match with the capture tape he was given. He then dogged another right hook. When Bakugo threw his hands back Midoriya ran away. He's changing his tactics. I can't beat him in a straight fight. But he's completely forgotten about my partner. If they wanted to send someone out to stop us they should've sent out Ryuga. He's way faster and stronger. Kachan and Ryuga aren't working together. If I can beat Kachan and join Uraraka we can have a two on one fight against Ryuga. But will that be enough to win. Ryuga is so powerful that …" Midoriya's line of thought was interrupted by the sound of a ding. "I'm all loaded up." Bakugo had snuck up on him. "why aren't you using your fancy quirk? Don't tell me you're underestimating me. Since you're such a stalker, you probably already know how my quirk works. I sweat a nitroglycerin like substance and detonate it. Imagine what I could do if I had a lot of it." Midoriya looks at Bakugo as a realization crosses his face. "That's right these gauntlets aren't just for show. They 've been storing my sweat for one monster bast!" All Mights voice comes over the intercom "Young Bakugo, don't. You'll kill him." Bakugo responds with "He'll be fine as long as he dodges!" Pulling the pin on his gauntlet, a massive explosion rocks the building.Midoriya barely manages to dodge, getting the other half of his mask torn off. Bakugo starts laughing. "These are awesome. The more nitro sweat I store up the stronger the explosion is. Go ahead. Use your quirk on me. Even at your best you'll never beat me." As Midoriya backed up in fear Bakugo responded to his earpiece. "Shut up and guard the bomb."
Ryuga was having fun toying with Uraraka. He blocked or dodged every attack she had thrown. For having no real training she was a good fighter. Then the intercom came on and All Might said "Young Bakugo, don't. You'll kill him." followed by a massive boom that shook the entire building. For the first time since the start of the match Ryuga uses his ear piece. "What the hell was that Bakugo? If you're trying to kill yourself or Midoriya do quietly." The response he got was "Shut up and guard the bomb." Uraraka took this chance to try and dash past him and take the bomb, but even while distracted Ryuga was more than a match for her. Using her quirk to jump over Ryuga, she is surprised when he grabs her leg and slams her into the ground. After getting up she understood that traditional attacks won't work. It was time to be creative.
"What's the Matter? You look scared." Bakugo taunted. "You dodged the attack so you can still fight can't you? Come at me." Midoriya started to think "those gauntlets let him attack at long range. I'm not safe even at a distance." Hoping that Uraraka is doing better, he contacts her with his ear piece. "Come in, what's the situation?" The response he gets is "It's not good." Bakugo gets frustrated at Midoriya. "Are you ignoring me again? I'll get your attention." All Might's voice once again blares to life, "Bakugo, use that stored up power again and I'll stop this fight. Your team will lose." "Huh" Bakugo responded, confused. "To use such a strong attack indoors is inviting the destruction of the base you should be protecting. That's a poor strategy whether you're a hero or a villain. The penalty will be a massive loss of points." While this was going on Midoriya had been devising a plan. "The pillar by the window. Get there now." He said to Uraraka. Suddenly Bakugo explodes in rage before literally exploding and flying toward Midoriya. Midoriya widens his stance but steps on a piece of rubble that collapses, leaving him unable to dodge. He instead tries counter attacking but Bakugo uses an explosion to flip over Midoriya and attack him from behind. "Here it comes, nerd. That famous right hook you were whining about." Bakugo slams his right hand into Midoriya's elbow with an explosion. "Deku. Don't you ever forget what you are." Grabbing Midoriya's arm, Bakugo use explosions to flip Midoriya over and throw him on his back. "You're a weakling!" As Midoriya gets up he seems to run away. "Still think you can beat me without your quirk? You've been hiding your true strength for years. You think you're better than me." Midoriya looked down. "Is that what you think? You idiot. I know you're better than me. Don't you see! That's why I want to beat you! Because you're amazing!" Bakugo looks at Midoriya before saying "You're even more of an idiot than I realized. Come at me!" Running at Bakugo he charges up one for all and prepares to strike. "Stop! Both of you." "Uraraka now!" Midoriya diverted his punch up and completely destroyed the roof.
Ryuga had decided that it was time to end this. Uraraka had been fighting very defensively since Ryuga caught her leg. It just wasn't as fun if she wasn't fighting back. Suddenly Uraraka says "Right." and grabs onto a pillar tightly. Then the floor explodes. Ryuga is caught off guard and unprepared when Uraraka lifts the pillar she was holding and uses it to bat flying debris at him. Uraraka took this chance to jump past Ryuga. She has almost touched the weapon. She is going to win. She's going to "Dragon Emperor Soaring Bite Strike!" die. She is going to die. Ryuga smirks as he watches the dragons wrap around Uraraka and restrain her. He looks down to find Midoriya, hoping to show him that in their first encounter he had won. But what he sees sends a chill down his spine. Midoriya is barely standing. His left arm was broken and his right was burned so bad the skin was black. His pupils had shrunk to the point they were barely visible. Midoriya had gone into shock. Ryuga was so distracted by this that he lost his concentration on Uraraka. She escaped the dragons and ran to the bomb, touching it and winning the exercise. Ryuga meanwhile still couldn't believe what he was seeing. What had been done to Midoriya was almost as bad as the worst he did while under the dark power. He knows what this is, he put Kyoya through it. Midoriya was in shock. It sickened him to see that done to someone. All Might calls the match, announcing that the hero team had won.
Midoriya was brought to the Nurse's office while Ryuga, Bakugo, and Uraraka returned to the observation room. "Well, despite these results," "What the hell is your problem?" Ryuga was furious. Bakugo was confused "Huh, what are you talking about?" "I'm talking about you using deadly force against Midoriya." All Might tried to break up the fight "Young Ryuga" Ryuga cut him off. "Don't talk. It was your job to stop us from going too far." Bakugo started "Why do you care?" Ryuga stares at Bakugo with barely contained rage. "You left him in shock." "So what if the nerd was shocked," Ryuga cut him off "Not shocked, in shock. That alone could have killed him." Bakugo scoffed, "So what, he's a useless Deku." Ryuga raised an eyebrow "And why is he so useless?" Bakugo can feel the whole class staring at him. "Because he can't do anything right, because he hid his power, because," Ryuga cuts him off. "Because you thought he was quirkless." Bakugo spoke without thinking. "Yes. He's been hiding his power for years laughing behind my back." Ryuga looks shocked before laughing. "Ha-ha, ha-ha, ha ha ha ha. I finally get it. You're me. You're so sure that you're the best that anything that threatens your ego has to be crushed." Bakugo looks angry. "The hell are you talking about?" Instead of responding, Ryuga asked a question. "Would you do what you did to a four year old?" Bakugo looked confused but answered "No." "What if they were quirkless?" Bakugo's face became shocked. "You see, I don't think this is the first time you've done this to Midoriya. I think you've done this hundreds of times." All Might walk over to Bakugo "Young Bakugo, is this true." Bakugo remained silent. "This will be continued. Now let's go over the match. Who can tell me the MVP?" "It was Uraraka." Momo Yaoyorozu replied "Bakugo was clearly motivated by a personal grudge. In addition, as Ryuga pointed out, Bakugo had no restraint despite the fact this was training. Midoriya's plan was also poorly thought out considering the damage he did to himself. Ryuga didn't take his opponent seriously until the end. Uraraka remained focused on the objective the entire time despite her last attack being reckless." "Good work. Now let's start the next match." The next match was quick. Shoto Todoroki froze the entire building before casually walking up and claiming the weapon. The rest of the matches weren't very interesting. At the end All Might said "That's a w Yoshi rap. You all did great. And there weren't any major injuries except for Midoriya. I should probably check on Young Midoriya's progress. Now watch how a pro leaves like he's got somewhere to be." All Might then dashed away at a speed even Ryuga would struggle with. The rest of the classes were uneventful. Midoriya didn't come back until the end of the day. Ryuga watched as the entire class swarmed Midoriya all introducing themselves. Ryuga caught as many names as he could before Uraraka walked in the door. Midoriya then ran out the door, Ryuga following close behind. He knew what it was like to be used and thrown away. Ryuga had caught up with him just as he made it to Bakugo. Before Ryuga could say anything, Midoriya started talking. "I have to tell you something. Maybe then you'll understand. I wasn't hiding my quirk from you. It was given to me by someone else. But I can't tell you who so don't ask. Sounds crazy. Like something out of a comic book, but it's real. The thing is I haven't gotten control of this power. And that's why I didn't want to use it in the battle trials. But in the end that was the only way I could win. I've still got a lot to learn, that's why I'm here. I won't win until I have full control of this borrowed quirk, then I'll beat you with my own power." "How dumb do you think I am," Bakugo said, "Borrowed power. Don't talk to me like an Idiot. You already made a fool out of me in that damn training exercise. So? Did you come here to rub it in? I lost. And to make matters worse, it was to you. I came in first in the exam, but that's not enough. When I was watching that ice guy, I realized I couldn't beat him in a head‐to‐head fight. Crap! I even agreed with what that girl said. My attack was so stupid! Damn it! Damn it, damn it, damn it! Enjoy that win, Deku. You won't get another! I'm just getting started! Got that?! I'm gonna end up the number‐one hero, no matter what! You'll never beat me again, you bastard. Don't even try" All Might suddenly rushed and tried to cheer up Bakugo but he just dismissed him. After Bakugo left, All Might tried to pester Midoriya into telling him what he told Bakugo. After watching Midoriya's panicked response, Ryuga decided to make an entrance. "So you got your power from All Might." All Might and Midoriya both tried to deny it. "No that's not what happened. All Might just help train me and you're not buying it are you." Ryuga shook his head. All Might looked at Ryuga with a serious expression. "Young Ryuga, what you are about to see and hear can not be repeated." All Might then explained one for all. After the explanation is over Ryuga says "I understand while it is so important to keep this secret, but Midoriya you should tell your mother." Midoriya looked at Ryuga "Why?" "Because she'll find out eventually. It's better that you tell her yourself" ''I agree with Ryuga. She's your mother. I trust her to know." Midoriya looked at All
Might and Ryuga and said "Ok I'll tell her."
When Ryuga and Midoriya got home Midoriya explained one for all and Ryuga explained that he was training Midoriya on how to use it. After saying good night to Muku, Ryuga went to sleep.
