Mylene's POV
I am, once again, scratching underneath these awful bandages using a fork. A fork, people. It was tough, getting rushed to the emergency room because of a "small science accident." Yeah right - I wasn't buying that. Another itch. My neck this time. "Ugh," I say to Ivan, "these are driving me crazy!" Alya sat down at our table. "Hey Mylene," she said with a look on her face that told me she had a plan, and I probably wouldn't like it one bit. "Yes, Alya?" I say, trying to put as little emotion into my words as possible. "I want you to do an interview for the LadyBlog about what it's like to be in a traumatizing explosion. Ladybug won't do it for me, so I need another victim to interview," Alya states enthusiastically. "Why don't you ask Lie-la about it," I say as bluntly as I can, " 'cause I'm not interested. Plus, isn't your blog about Ladybug, not some kids at school?" Alya says coldly, "It's for a friend, Mylene. Couldn't you do this for your friends?" I shake my head. "Alya, when have you ever been nice to me this school year, huh? And when have you been nice to Marinette?" Alya's face contorts with rage. "Don't you mention that bully," she says, pivoting on her heel and walking away. "Finally," I say to Ivan with a sigh we both share, "the Ladybug stalker's gone." We both laugh. I could tell that Lie-la was really getting into the lies now, explaining that last year she had been flying in a helicopter just behind Kobe Bryant's, and her "tailwing engine" caught fire. I stand up. There was no way in the multiverse she was gonna lie about one of my dreams: Aviation was one of my callings. I say to Ivan, "Make it known: I am not friends with Alya, and she is not welcome here. Rose, Juleka, and Marinette are, but Alya and Lie-la are not." He nods. He never trusted Lie-la from the start. I believed, but that just got my face almost blown up.
I stride over to the table. "A tailwing engine doesn't even exist, LIAR!" I scream. Alya glares at me. "Of course it is, you FREAK!" I move my hands to my mouth in shock. "Yeah, that's right, you're a FREAK, Haprele. You're a FREAK, and Dupain-Cheng's a MONSTER." Alya screams. This isn't the Alya I know! Lie-la must have sucked her in with her lies, the sicko. I don't think about my words, I just shout, "Then you're a TWISTED, LYING, HATING, EVIL HAG!"
Ms. Bustier comes running. "Mylene, what is going on?!" she says, and I know I have to speak the truth - and quickly. "Ms. Bustier, Alya called me a freak!" I say. She looks shocked, "Is this true Alya?" she says. "What, that she's a freak? Of course, it's true. You know I never lie." Alya says maliciously. Ms. Bustier is on the verge of shouting. "What else did she say Mylene?!" she almost yells. I say, "She called Mari a monster, Ms. Bustier." Marinette is over in the corner sobbing harshly into her sleeve, Adrien patting her shoulder to console her. "Aww, Adrien," says Lie-la from behind Alya, "you don't love that bully!" Adrien stands up, looking the maddest he's ever looked and comes walking towards the liars. "Two things: One, she isn't a bully. That's you. Two, I do love her. Oh, and three: stop harassing me, Lila. You know I don't like it when you get your hands all over me in class." He walks away, returning to his seat. "Mylene, Alya," Ms. Bustier says, "Come with me to the office."
