Chapter 8

Olivia stood by the limousine with Lucy. She held Noah in her arms and thanked the guest as they left the cemetery. She looked and saw Amanda holding Kim's hand. Kim was talking and pointing at the sky. Beth suffered from a blood clot and had a massive stroke. After giving her organs to help others she passed away.

They had a week to process it and things were getting better. Kim had a hard time and got it out. Amanda was the opposite, she held it in until she exploded. Olivia smiled as they had their moment together. They had bonded over losing their mom.

After the funeral the squad rallied around them, they had become their family. Cragen pulled Olivia to the side. "You look happy, happier than I've seen in a long time. You have been my rockstar detective and that's why I'm leaving you as my replacement."

He waited as the shock hit her. "Cap! What? Why?" Cragen had been planning it for a while. He pushed her to get Sergeant, it was part of the plan. Cragen was tired and he would have left months ago, but this last case hit and he didn't want to leave them hanging.

Cragen had big plans, "Eileen and I are getting married and going on a honeymoon cruise. I have so much leave, enough to take me to my mandatory retirement. I've been doing this a long time. I wanted to help you get through this case."

Olivia was still surprised. "Well if anyone has earned it, it's you. You've been the father I never had, but always wanted. My life before I met you was messy. You gave me stability Cap." Olivia hugged him tight.

Cragen heard her cry. "It's not easy going from player to coach. If they bust your chops, bust them right back." He started to turn away, but came back. "Word of advice?" Olivia nodded. "I gave my whole life to the badge and I forgot to live my own. Eileen and I are a Hail Mary, a shot at happiness. You deserve happiness and the world. You can be a good cop and live your life happily. Take care of yourself."

Olivia looked into the family room and saw Fin tickling Kim. She smiled at the loud squeal that came from her mouth. She caught a glimpse of Amanda and smiled. She knew what would make her happy.

Amanda fell on their bed, "Are you okay. It's been a tough week for you and Kim." Amanda just stared at the ceiling. She didn't know why she cared about losing her mom when her mom didn't care about her or she thought she didn't. Beth actually had life insurance and money she left for her, Kim, and Noah.

She turned on her side and cuddled next to Olivia. She felt comfort and love with her. "Liv, did you care when your mom died?" Olivia nodded because it was her mother. "It's just weird, you know. I'm okay, I'm glad I have you.

Kim only had about a month left in school and she would be out for summer break. They needed to sign her up for a camp to keep her busy and out of Lucy's hair. They also needed to have a conference with her teacher, since she would be moving to her new school in the fall.

Olivia picked up Amanda at work and they headed to her school. "Wow, Sergeant Benson is in charge and gets her own vehicle. Am I allowed to ride in here?" Olivia rolled her eyes and laughed. They pulled up to school and went inside. They both signed in and talked to Alex while they waited. "Gosh we're like parents." Amanda started wondering if they would ever really define their relationship and get married.

Kim's teacher was so nice and gave them great information. She thought if things settled down they should definitely test her for the gifted program at her new school. Olivia walked in with ice cream, "Guess who got a good report from school?"

Kim jumped up, "Me!" Noah rocked in his high chair and clapped. He was so excited. Lucy asked if she could skip dinner. She usually stayed, so of course Olivia questioned her, "Sure Luce, we know you have life. You don't have to eat with us every night."

Lucy smiled, "Actually, I enjoy it a lot. I have an interview though so I can take a second job in the evening and night." Lucy explained her roommate was moving in with her boyfriend and she couldn't afford her place anymore without a new roommate or a job.

They finished dinner and had ice cream sundaes. Olivia helped Kim pour syrup on hers and dabbed whip cream on Noah's nose. They were so sticky they both needed extra bath time. Kim was more than excited when she got to go in the jacuzzi tub. It was a definite sell when Olivia saw it. Olivia shot her a stern warning, "No water outside of the tub."

She checked on Amanda and Noah. Amanda had really become a mom, she was playing peekaboo behind his washcloth. Olivia told her Kim was almost done so she was going to take a shower. Amanda smiled, "Liv, thank you." Olivia had been her rock through everything. Amanda took out all of her frustrations from the week and she took it all. Amanda wasn't used to being loved and she often fought it. When Olivia mentioned therapy she practically bit her head off. Now that things were calmer she felt bad about it all.

Noah was down and she heard Olivia in Kim's room reading her story, so she took a quick shower. Olivia was still in Kim's room. "Mommy, I miss my mom, but I like living with you and mama way better. Does that make sense?" She smiled and listened to Olivia comfort her and tell her everything would be ok.

Amanda turned out the lights in the family room and hung up Kim's book bag on the chair. She saw the whip cream on the counter and smiled. Olivia walked into their bedroom and shut and locked the door. Amanda was topless and with whip cream circled around her breast. She had a cherry covering each nipple. "We have kids you know."

Amanda laughed, "Well lucky for us, Noah is a baby and Kim is my twin so she sleeps like the dead. Come here." Amanda called her over with her finger. Olivia attacked her small breasts licking. She ate the cherry and sucked right behind it. "Liv! Mmmmmm!"

Olivia pushed her shoulders back and shook the whip cream can. She sprayed it from her belly down to her bare front. She licked and kissed until she reached her lower lips. "Fuck Liv!" Olivia dipped her tongue in and out then finally sucked on her clit until she came. Amanda pulled her up, "We're really sticky, how about I return the favor in the shower?" Olivia liked the idea. Amanda stayed back, "Go turn the water on and I'll meet you."

Olivia smirked and got the water warm. Amanda saw her through the glass and stepped in the steamy shower. Amanda pushed her back against the wall and kissed her lips then showed her a new toy. Olivia laughed, "When did you get that?" It was a blue vibrating dildo.

Amanda giggled, "It's called the blue dolphin. It's my favorite color. Do you want to try it?" Amanda felt silly going into the store and buying it. She didn't know what turned Olivia on. It was almost like proof that they had moved too fast.

Olivia could see an unsure look on her face. "Amanda, I love our sex life. If we didn't have an extra nosy 8 year old, I'd fuck you every night. Have I told you that you aren't enough?" Amanda shook her head. "Well you are, but we can try it. This will be a first though."

Amanda smiled wide and ran out of the shower. She came back with a pink one, "This is yours, it's called the pink pleaser. You're enough too, but I wanted to try."

Olivia kissed her, "I'm first. What are you going to do?" It was a challenge. Olivia usually took charge, but Amanda started it with the whip cream. Amanda turned Olivia around and placed her hands on the bench. The water hit her back as Amanda laid on her to reach her front. "Mmmm ahhhh Amanda!"

Amanda pushed in the dildo causing Olivia to arch her back. It had been a while. William Lewis didn't rape her, but he would have if Fin didn't save her. She never really felt the same with Brian, plus he didn't have that length. Olivia screamed, "Fuck!" as Amanda pushed in and out, finally stilling inside her. They were both spent as they laid in bed. "Liv, I'm sore." Olivia rubbed her. "It's a good sore though." Olivia kissed her and heard Noah. She put on some clothes then unlocked the door giving Amanda a wink on the way out.

Amanda heard her bringing him to their room and got dressed too. "Someone is cranky. Probably all the sugar." They both played with him until his eyes got heavy. Olivia brushed his brown hair away from his face. So much had happened and she hadn't told Amanda about Ellie Porter being pregnant. "Noah will have a sibling."

Amanda shrugged, "Yeah me and Kim." Olivia shook her head and explained that Ellie was pregnant by Johnny. Amanda was in shock. She and Kim had the same mom and dad, but they shared the same mom with Noah and this one would only be Noah's. "Did you talk to Ellie?" Olivia shook her head, she didn't have a chance when the shooting happened.

They both talked about it and being honest with Noah when it was time. Amanda didn't care about blood, she cared about family. "Liv, shouldn't we help Lucy?" Olivia smiled, because she actually thought that as soon as Lucy said it, but she and Amanda had to decide things together now. Olivia agreed and they came up with a plan.
