A couple of days later Jason got arrested. Apparently, they think he killed some women. I think that's bull. He would never do that. Sookie came home raving about this vampire who will take her to the vampire club in the area to ask around about if they saw the girls. She wants to find someone who will say that they are guilty of the crime. That will never happen. I told her I would go as well. Hopefully mitigate the damage she does. I am in my room changing to leave. I put on fake leather pants, a nice black tube top and a black leather jacket. I put on nice leather boots with a wedge. I put on black leather gloves and a nice smokey eye makeup. I go downstairs and see Bill waiting for us. He looks like he has his nose in the air about what I'm wearing.

"Ready to go?" He asks

"Yup, just waiting on Sookie." I tell him just as she bounces down the stairs in a red and white dress with shoulder straps. I don't think she will fit in in the slightest. But I don't say anything.

We getting to the car. Sookie in the passenger seat, me in the back.

"Penny for your thoughts." Sookie says.

"I thought you liked not knowing my thoughts," Bill said. I didn't know she said that. She has the double-edged sword with her power. She doesn't like it, but she relies on it. She is helpless without it but doesn't want it. Which I think doesn't make sense. I am able to cut myself off from my power and learned to not rely on it.

"That doesn't mean I don't want to know," Sookie replies. There is her double-edged sword showing.

"You look like vampire bait." He says, I laugh in my head knowing if I laughed out loud, I would get some glares. I know he likes the way she dresses. Bill seems very conservative.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Sookie says a little offended.

"I promised your grandmother no harm would come to you at Fangtasia, tonight." He explains "I'm not sure I'm going to be able to keep that promise with you dressed that way."

"If you can't I will." I say from the back seriously.

"So, are you saying you think I look nice?" Sookies questions ignoring my comment.

"Doesn't matter what I think. This isn't a date, remember?" He tells her.

When was this supposed to be a date? Why would they be okay if I tagged along on the date? That's weird. Also, a club for a first date? Alrighty. I guess to each to their own. I have seen some pretty messed up things over time. I should have seen this coming.

We arrive at the club and walk up to the door. There is a bouncer in a black t-shirt, he has his arms folded over his chest. We reach the door.

"Bill, we haven't seen you in a while." The female vampire greets. She's wearing a black bustier and a necklace that draws the eye. Her hair is pulled back out of her face. She doesn't smile while she greets him though.

"I'm mainstreamin'" Bill says. I have no idea what that means. I will have to remember to ask later.

"Good for you." She says not seaming to care in the slightest "Who are the girls?"

"Pam, this is Sookie and Charlotte. Sookie, Charlotte, this is Pam." He introduces.

"Pleased to meet you." Sookie says while smiling. She extends her hand to shake hands with Pam. Pam looks at it disdainfully. Sookie then looks at Bill confused.

"Enchanted." I say trying to get the attention off Sookie for a second. So she can figure out what's going on. I don't try to shake Pam's hand. I don't shake hands. It's just a rule just in case I end up being able to sense them through the gloves. It's only happened a few times. So I avoid it now.

"Can I see your ID?" Pam says to us. I had my ID out and ready for her and hand it to her making sure to not touch her.

"Oh sure." Sookie says looking shocked "How funny." I give her a puzzled look as Pam hands my ID back. "Who'd have thought? Getting' carded at a vampire bar"

"I can no longer tell human ages. We must be careful we serve no minors in any capacity." She says "Twenty-Five, huh? How sweet it is." She seems to hold me at a different respect. Which I found weird. "You're a little far from home?" Pam finally addresses me.

"Yes, I am" I say not elaborating at all.

She nods to me almost in respect. I don't tend to overshare like Sookie does. Sookie likes to overshare if she thinks that there is a silence. She doesn't like them. I think sometimes the best thoughts and ideas can come from them.

We walk into the club. It seems pretty busy.

"It feels a little bit like what a vampire bar would look like if it were a ride at Disney world." Sookie says.

"You can't say that." I tell her. She gives me a look telling me to shut up. Not uncommon for her to give me. She never really liked me. We are the same age and growing up my attention was different then hers. More constructive. Having my brothers made me able to share the attention. She never really had to, even with Jason.

"Well, don't get too comfortable. It tends to get more authentic as the night wears on." Bill explains to her. I kinda suspected that would be the case. We approach the bar.

"Can I get you girls somethin' to drink?" Bill asks us.

"Just a water for me please." I tell him. I don't like to drink. It makes my power stronger, or I guess the proper explanation is harder to control.

"Uh, please." Sookie says.

A vampire with long black hair and tattoos is tending bar. He is shirtless wearing a black leather vest and a necklace. What is with all the vampires wearing necklaces? Did I miss something not reading those sappy vampire romance novels?

"How's it goin', Bill?" the vampire says

"Very well." Bill replies.

"I'll say it is." The vampire replies. "These your meals for the night?"

"These are my friends Sookie and Charlotte. Sookie, Charlotte, Longshadow." Bill introduces. I wisely choose to stay quiet.

"Nice to meet you." Sookie says. Longshadow stares at Sookie. Thankfully not really noticing me. "I'll have a gin and tonic, please"

"And I'll have a bottle of O negative and a water for Charlotte." Bill orders.

He hands Bill a water bottle and Bill hands it to me. I quickly walk away to find us a seat. I then notice what looks like a young male vampire looking at Bill and dancing seductively. Bill looks uneasy. It's funny to see him acting that way. I scan the club while I wait for Bill and Sookie to join me.
