"Probably if I were to read you. All those lifetimes all in the past and then all those lifetimes in the future. If you have a long future ahead on you. It might take me a few days for the headache to go away. But like I said I haven't tried to read a vampire."
"Alright, I am 1000 years old. With that knowledge would you like to read me still and test out your theories?" Eric asks
"I would love to, but I would need a few days to relax." I tell him.
"Well since it is a few hours from daytime I imagine you will sleep all day. I will come back in the night and look after Adele, Demetrius and you." Eric suggests
"Sounds good." I tell him as I take off the glove on my left hand and reach out to his. My hand touches his skin to skin.
I notice he has cold hands and I get a flash of when he was a boy. I see his father is a Viking king. Ulfrik Northman, His parents wanted him to pick a wife, but he would rather enjoy being unmarried. He wanted to wait for his soul mate. While Eric was having sex with a servant, werewolves attacked their home. They killed his mother, Astrid Northman, and baby sister. they managed to overpower his father, taking his crown. The crown was handed to a cloaked figure who walked off into the snowy night. Eric is left to tend to his dying father. He was declared king by his father and made to promise to avenge his family.
I notice he is wounded in battle while searching for his father's killer. He told his Viking companions to leave him, but they chose to ignore him and stay. They told him stories of women and the glory waiting in Valhalla. I can tell he still believes in Valhalla. During one night, a mysterious young boy comes. He attacks all of his companions killing them. He introduces himself as death. He is tattooed. This must be his maker. He is told that his maker saw his strength on the battlefield. He offered him immortality and Eric agreed.
He later learns the boys name is Godric. Godric of Goul, he had been alive for 1,000 years already. That would make him 2,000 years old now. Later in 1665, Godric and Eric were both in London. During the outbreak of the plague, they were doing a favor for King Charles the second. They came upon a young woman, Nora. She got the Plague whilst caring for the victims. Eric brought Nora to Godric had him turn her. Making her his sister.
Nora didn't seem to stay with them long. Eric did seem to stay with Godric for a long time. In 1905 according to the newspaper he passes. He was in San Francisco. He rescues Pamela Swynford de Beaufort. Oh, my this is Pam's story. I knew I would see it, but I guess it didn't fully occur to me. He saws her from an attacker killing the assailant. Because of her lack of reaction, he decided to go visit her brothel the next night. She had a brothel? I'm shocked. He sees a vampire by the name of…. Lorena Krasiki and her Progeny… oh my that's Bill Compton. They were responsible for draining several of Pam's employees. He confronted them and got them to leave. He stayed for a while for Pam and she asked him to change her. Eric at first said know. But Pam slit her wrists and forcing him to turn her or watch her die. So, he changed her.
I read another newspaper as he passes and notice that it is world war 2, Godric and he pose as Nazi officers in order to infiltrate "Operation Werewolf." They tracked a werewolf down to a house somewhere in Germany. I can't tell where it is. The werewolf attacked and killed an American soldier before turning on him. Godric saved him stabbing her in the arm with a bayonet, pinning her to the wall. Eric demanded to know who her master was, but the werewolf said she would only tell them if she could get some vampire blood. I notice Godric looking very offended. Godric tells Eric that vampire blood is sacred. Eric didn't seem to care though. He bit his wrist allowing the werewolf to drink from it. She then tells them her master is a vampire. This distracts Eric allowing the werewolf to take advantage of that. She pushes Eric to the ground and attempts to stake him. Godric intervened and snaps the werewolf's neck.
Godric then lectures Eric. Telling him to maintain control of his emotions. Godric promises to hunt down the vampire down. Godric and Eric left each other company. For the time being. I watch as he gets into Conflict with the AVL. I see the vampire from the TV there. He watches a girl die protecting Pam.
They are punished for their activities and told to run a run-down video store in Shreveport, Louisiana. 80% of all the money must go to do the authority. So, The Magister tells him. He is elected Sheriff of Louisiana Area 5. Eric and Pam don't like this, but they un the video store for twenty years.
Two years ago, right when vampires come out of the coffin, they are still running the video store. Pam comes up with the idea of turning it into a vampire nightclub called Fangtasia. They create it and thus Fangtasia is born.
I finally come out of his history I see I am clenching his hand in a death like grip. I have a splitting headache and my nose is bleeding heavily. I notice a tissue being held to it by Eric. I look up at him.
"There you are. Your nose started bleeding about two minutes ago." He tells me.
"Uh, huh." I tell him quietly, trying not to shake my head. I feel like my head is going to break.
"I will bring you up to bed." Eric says lifting me gently and carrying me to bed. He tucks me in. "You get some rest. I will give you some blood to help with the headache." He bites his wrist lifting it to my lips.
"No," I tell him gently pushing it away. He seems to let me.
"Alright." He tells me. "It's about to become daytime I need to get back to my home."
"I will see you in the night, right?" I ask him.
"Of course, my little mate." He tells me kissing my head. "Demetrius is here to protect you till I get here." He lifts my puppy on to the bed. Demetrius lies at the foot of the bed. Eric leaves quickly. I fall asleep thinking about Eric and Godric. There falling out. They will work it out. but with Godric's death. I do hope we can stop him from meeting the sun. I will keep this from Eric till the time comes.
Longshadow dies. He is skimming off the top at Fangtasia. But the needs to happen so Bill becomes a maker. I will tell Eric, but I will let him know he will have to involve Sookie and allow things to play out as they are. We can't change things too much. He does end up imprisoning Lafayette. I will tell him to give Lafayette more humane treatment that way Sookie doesn't get her nose in a bunch. Show that Eric does have a heart. Ginger keeps stumbling around like usually.
Hmmm Sookie and I get hurt by a bull like creature. Poor Pam and her shoes. I will have to tell her to wear shoes she doesn't mind getting dirty. I will tell Eric to make sure the doctor to comes quickly. There is lots more that I saw. Him drinking from Sookie and I and being able to walk into the sun. I also see him burning up in flames in the end. I don't understand some of the stuff that happened, but I will understand with time. Hopefully I can change that. I don't want him to die. He's my soul mate. I saw us coming to love each other and marry eventually when he gets the right to marry.
I close my eyes and my head pounding lets up a little. I feel Demetrius walk up to sleep beside me. He curls up under the blankets to snuggle with me. He enjoys doing that. I do hope Eric doesn't mind that. I also saw that I eventually become a vampire. With Eric as my marker. I really do hope I get to keep him.
"Charlotte," I hear. I open my eyes and see Eric standing there.
"Aren't you supposed to bee resting in your day bed?" I ask him.
"Love, it's nighttime already." He tells me
"No, it can't be."
"Well, it is." He sits down beside me. Brushing my hair out of my face. "I will go see if Adele has some food for you. I think you need something to eat."
"Okay," I tell him.
"I really do wish you would take my blood. I hate to see you in so much pain." Eric tells me as I feel the breeze of him leaving. Seconds later he comes back holding a bowl. "Come we shall sit you up." He helps me sit up and starts to feed me oatmeal and what tastes like sugar. He keeps feeding me till the bowl is finished. "There you go. That should help you get some strength." He lifts a glass of water to my lips, and I drink the whole glass.
"Feeling a little better, mate?" He asks me, while helping me lie back down. Demetrius looks at him and jumps down off the bed heading to the door.
"A little. I believe he wants to go out to use the bathroom." I tell him.
He picks Demetrius up and breezes downstairs. He breezes back in holding Demetrius again and puts him down on the bed again.
"I shall find him his food." He breezes out again and comes back holding a bowl with his food. Demetrius hops back down off the bed and heads to the food and starts to eat. He sits on the other side of my bed leaning up against the headboard. He pulls me into his lap to cuddle. "So, what did you see?" Eric asks me.
