We all walk to Eric's office Draco is getting upset.

"I will let your friend go if you go to Dallas to help look for a missing Sherriff." Eric bargains.

"So, if I agree to go to Dallas to help you look for this missing vampire, you'll let Lafayette go?" Sookie clarifies.

"No, you nearly died last night. You are not going to Dallas." Bill tried to control her.

"Bill, I can make up my own mind." She tells him

"I will pay for all your expenses, of course, and yes, I will release your friend." Eric says. I honestly think he is being too sweet on her.

"And I want $5,000." Sookie says then looks at Bill. "I've missed a lot of work and I need a driveway."

"Your human is getting cocky." Eric says starting to bounce Draco as he seems to be getting bored.

"She will take $10,000 and I will escort her." Bill bargains.

"$5,000 and you can escort her." I say. Eric nods agreeing to the terms I suggested.

"Ten thousand and Bill comes with me or it's a deal breaker." Sookie says being suborn.

"If you want the ten thousand and your friend can stay here." I say

"Fine," she says. "Ten thousand and Lafayette stays here."

Eric smiles at me. Pulling me close. Draco starts to coo. He loves when Eric and I are close together. I see where her loyalties lie. All humans can be bought out it seems.

"You surprise me. That's a rare quality in a breather." Eric says. I know he doesn't mean it in a good way.

"You disgust me," Sookie says.

"Perhaps I'll grow on you." Eric says joking.

"I'd prefer cancer." She says.

"I can arrange that." I threaten.

"Relax Nova," Eric tells me, knowing I really don't like the girl. "You need to leave immediately." Eric tells them.

"I will make the travel arrangements, but I will need your credit card number." Bill says.

Eric hands over my credit card, knowing it has the smaller limit of $15,000. I do have a credit card that is unlimited, but I got that one to help control my spending a couple decades ago.

Pam opens the door and throws Lafayette on the ground.

"Such a shame. I was hoping I could convince Eric to let me keep you." Pam says, not looking too bothered by the whole interaction.

"No, you already have enough pets." Eric tells her.

"No offense, but you ain't exactly my type, bitch." Lafayette tells her.

"Can I kick him?" Pam asks.

"No Pam, he is staying in our care though." Eric tells her. Lafayette's eyes go wide. "Miss Stackhouse decided on more money then saving her friend. So I decided my wife needs some help around the house. Isn't that right Nova?"

"I do. Since having Draco I have been swamped with work and my baby. It's all just too much." I play up for my husband. I know he is giving Lafayette a second chance. He is giving him a home to sleep in and food for his belly.

"Good then. Have chow fetch the car." Eric tells Pam.

Pam leaves to get chow to fetch the car to take him to our home where he will be locked in till we get home. He will have a note on the table telling him what is expected while he is gone. I don't think he will be too upset with it.

Bill and Sookie leave as well. Lafayette looks very upset.

"I do apologize that someone who you considered a friend chose money over you. That was not okay." I tell him. "I don't think living with us will be too bad." We send him home and then book our own trip to Dallas. I know Eric doesn't want Draco and I in Dallas, but I think it will be good for Godric to see us.

We head home and I see Lafayette crying. I head to him and stroke his back. He jumps

"Why are you here?" He asks.

"This is my house." I tell him.

Eric goes to the kitchen to get Draco something to eat. He knows I can handle this. He needs to still seem big and bad while I can play a lot nicer.

"I convinced my husband that I needed help around the house. Sure, it is not your home but you will be well looked after here. Not that your friend Sookie needs to know that. Think of this as revenge on her for choosing the money." I tell him.

"How is this revenge on her if I'm getting tortured." He asks

"When did I say you were going to be tortured? Not in my house. the club is Eric's domain he does what he needs to there being a sheriff, but our house is all up to me. I run the house how I see fit. I saw fit to have you cook here. I will show you to your suite you will have to keep it clean yourself, but other then that you have run of almost every room. Mine and Eric's room is obviously off limits. Draco's room is as well unless one of us says so and our office. Other then that you may explore and enjoy. I do know Eric will have a task for you, but at the moment you can focus on healing up." I explain to him.

"A task?" He asks.

"Yes, but don't you worry about that right now. Let me get you all cleaned up." I tell him standing pu and getting the medical kit. I give him some stitches and send him off to the shower in his room. Let him get settled. I go join Eric in the kitchen and see him feeding Draco. Draco is in his highchair banging his spoon on his tray having the time of his life.

"He going to be, okay?" Eric asks. I know he does care. I know it is for reasons he refuses to discuss with me, but I do know he cares.

"He will just fine, my love." I tell him. "It might take him some time to get used to living here, but I think he will come to like it."

"I am glad to hear that. If he wasn't well, I don't want to think that way." He says shaking his head. Draco shakes his head copying him. Draco loves to copy his dad. I know he wants to be just like him.

I chuckle at Draco's antics. "Should I get us all packed, love?" I ask.

"Please." Eric says kissing me. I wave my hands and our suitcases are all packed flying down the stairs. One almost hit Lafayette on his way down the stairs.

"I'm sorry, Lafayette." I tell him.

"What was that?" He asks.

"Our bags. We will be leaving for a little while. You will have more then enough food for you for the time we are gone." I tell him.

"Why were your bags flying?" He asks a little freaked out.

"I'm a witch." I tell him.

"Why don't you magically heal me then?" He asks.

"That's your first question?" I ask retorcally. "Because nonmagical beings cannot handle large amounts of magic all at once. You would be dealing with a large amount all at once. So, I will have to break it up. We will start when I get back, it will take less magic then cause you will have already started healing."

"What am I to do while your gone?" He asks.

"Watch movies, eat, cook, what ever you want within the house." I tell him.

Eric's phone rings. He answers it putting t on speaker so I can hear it.

"You were supposed to call me when you arrived." Eric says in a displeased tone.

"We were ambushed at the airport." Bill says.

"By whom?" I ask.

"You know exactly by whom Nova." Bill says.

"You act like I understand Vampire politics. I am not a vampire, nor will I ever be. Therefore, your politics is not something I need to know." I inform him.

"Fine. You know by whom, Eric. Happy?" Bill says.

"Much," I say.

"The fellowship of the sun. why didn't you tell me they were involved?" Bill finally continues.

"I didn't know for sure. Now I do," Eric says.

"You could've shared your suspicions with me." Bill says. I tell Eric quickly in Swedish that I believe that Bill thinks he is equal to him.

"I could've, but I didn't. you should remember that I am your sheriff, Bill. We are not equal. And if that displeases you, take it up with a majestor or the queen." Eric tells him then hangs up. He quickly kisses me. Draco claps his hand.

"I should get him cleaned up and ready to leave." I tell Eric while picking up Draco. "Leave Lafayette alone." I tell Eric as I walk out, I pass Lafayette on the sofa. He is watching TV. I head upstairs and change Draco. That way he will be comfortable for the trip out to Dallas. I know he will be in his coffin with his dad, but I am still nervous.

We finally leave and arrive in Dallas just as the sun falls Eric gets out of his coffin holding Draco.

"He will be a little hungry." He tells me. "He woke up maybe an hour ago. I managed to keep him entertained in the coffin till we landed."

"Thank you, Eric." I tell him grateful that Eric was able to do that.

"I would never let anything, or anyone hurt your or Draco, Nova. What kind of husband do you take me for? We have been married for 2,000 years. I still love you as much as I did the first day, I married you. You granted me something I never thought I would get, a son." He tells me.

"Yes, I know. I couldn't help but worry." I say.

"I know you worry, my love. But you must worry a little less." Eric says. His phone rings. "Eric," He says answering it.

"You want to talk?" He asks the person on the other line. "Meet me at the bar." He tells them. He hangs up. "That was Bill. He would like to speak with me. You are more then welcome to join us. We can feed Draco at the same time." He tells me.

"I definitely like that idea." I tell him as we get into a car waiting for us. The car has blood boxes for Draco. I hand him one and he slurps it down very quickly. I can tell it has been too long since he has eaten. He isn't a fussy child and rarely cries. I hand him another while rubbing his back. He drinks the next one slower.

Eric takes one and drinks it.

"Those aren't for you Eric." I tell him smiling.

"I know, I just like them it's better then those Tru Bloods." He tells me.

"I understand that, but what if we run out. Draco needs them. He is still growing." I say.

"You are worrying needlessly again, nova. You think I would have taken one knowing our son would need it." He says. "This is just for this car ride. I have lots more being delivered during our stay here. Isabel and Stan also have a lot in Godric's nest. Draco will never go without, you know this." He says looking hurt.

"I'm sorry, Eric. I don't mean to make you look out like the bad guy. I'm just so worried about Godric and Draco's first trip away." I tell him.

"And Draco looks like he is handling it better then you are." Eric says laughing. I laugh with him.

"You are right. I need to just calm down and trust in you to be the amazing father I know you are." I say more to myself then to him. we pull up to the hotel.
