"Now I'd like to take you all to see a very special part if the church." Steve says.

"There's more?" Sookie asks. I go quiet knowing they know exactly who we are.

"Yes. My father's tomb. It's on the lower level." Steve says excitedly.

"Honey, are you sure?" Sarah asks.

"Absolutely, darling." Steve says.

"Steve, I just don't see why we need to take 'em down there." Sarah tries to convince him.

"You can feel the presence of his spirit." Steve says mind unchanging.

"It's okay, we don't need to see it." Sookie tries to tell him.

"Oh, I insist. Our church was built on, much like St. Peter's tomb in the Catholic Church, only without being polluted by evil. Did you know that there was actually a vampire pope back in the Middle Ages?" Steve asks.

Steve opens the door to the Basement.

"Rufus." Sookie says hoping he can get us out of this.

"What's the matter?" Steve asks.

"It's no big deal. She just has a tiny little case of claustrophobia. We both do, actually." Hugo says. I can tell he is lying about Sookie but the look in his eyes is too real to be faked. He's actually claustrophobic.

"Well, at least take a quick little look-see, in that way you can say you saw the whole church and you make informed discussions." Steve says.

"Steve." Sarah cautions.

"It's all right, Sarah. This is something they need to see." Steve shuts his wife up. Men like him, I hate them. My Eric would never do that to me.

"But we've already decided that we're getting married here, so how about we go back to our apartment, we'll look at a calendar and we'll call you on the phone to set the date." Sookie says.

" " Steve calls.

Steve and Gabe take them and bring us down. They put me in a different cell oddly. I go quietly. I hope I find Godric. I look around my cell and see him dead for the day. Oh my god he is here. I run over to him and pull him into my lap. I hope that when he wakes he will be comfortable.

"Get off me! Let go of me!" I can hear Sookie screaming.

"Come on! A little help here, Gabe! Pretty sure the banger's on V, the fucking cunt!" Steve says still struggling with Sookie.

"Steve!" I hear Sarah call.

"Help!" Sookie calls out.

"I got her!" Gabe calls out.

"I'm sorry." Sarah says quietly. I can barely hear it over Sookie's screaming.

"Stop fighting me!" Steve yells at her.

Shortly later I hear a gate slam shut. I hear them walk back upstairs and leave. It's silent for a little bit.

"Godric. Godric, can you hear me? Isabel and Eric sent us. Godric! I know he's down here somewhere. I heard the awful things they're plannin' to do to him." Sookie says breaking the silence.

"Sookie. He is here with me. He is dead for the day. Hopefully his sleep is restful with all your screaming." I reply.

"Nova? They took you down as well?" She asks.

"Yeah, I just went with it hoping I would find Godric." I say.

"Remember how I said I was claustrophobic? I wasn't makin' that part up. It's bad. Okay, I can't take elevators, walk-in closets. You know, hotels where they tuck the sheets in all tight? Just thinkin' about that makes me want to scream." Hugo interrupts.

"Jesus Christ, Vampire Exterminator? Silver and Stakes? Send'Em Back to Hell? So sick teachin' kids to hate like this." Sookie keeps ranting.

"Sookie, I don't have time for games right now. I need to get out of here." Hugo says freaking out.

"Take a deep breath. Look at me. It's gonna be okay. We're gonna figure this out, all right?" Sookie sooths.

"Okay, I'm okay." Hugo says

"So, the Newlins knew who we were the minute we walked in. Same way they knew to come after me at the airport. 'Cause someone at the nest is a traitor." Sookie reasons.

"There has to be. But no vampire would side with them." I say. They ignore me so; I decide to stay quiet. I guess they think they know more about vampires then I do.

"You think a vampire's siding with the Fellowship to get Godric out of the way?" Hugo asks.

"Stan? 'Cause he wants to be sheriff? I've heard of ambitious, but that's just plain crazy." Sookie suggests.

"You've met him. I mean, he would rip our throats out for lookin' at his sideways." Hugo says.

"It's true, Bill and Eric could do a lot worse to him when they find out. Bill had to have sensed my fear. He's gonna come storming through this church any second." Sookie replies with.

"And you don't seem happy about that because?" Hugo questions.

"These fanatics are about to barbecue a 2000-year-old vampire in front of the entire congregation. Who knows what else they're capable of?" Hugo reasons.

"Mornin'. Refreshments? How did y'all sleep?" Steve asks coming downstairs. He goes to their cage. I think he believes me dead.

"They're coming for us, you know?" Sookie threatens.

"Yeah, well, that's what I thought. Figured a pretty girl like you'd have a vamp running off to her rescue. Actually, we were kinda hopin' for it, weren't we Gabe?" Steve says excitedly.

"Yes, sir. Bring it on." Gabe seconds.

"Yeah, we're ready for him. We've been ready for a long time." Steve says.

"You're gonna get yourself killed. That's not a threat, it's a fact." Sookie says.

"They've got you all twisted up, haven't they, with their... with their glamoring and their empty promises and their evil blood." Steve says trying to get her to change sides.

"You're the ones who are twisted. You call yourself Christians? Jesus would be ashamed of you." Sookie tells them.

"Oh, I guess we're just gonna have to agree to disagree on that one. Now, things got a little out of hand last night, and I apologize for that. I'm not the monster that the vampire-lovin' media makes me out to be." Steve says.

"Yeah, right." Sookie says. I can hear her eye roll from here.

"All I want from you is a couple of answers, and then I'll be more than happy to feed you a nice hot breakfast and send you on your way." Steve tells them.

"What do you want to know?" Hugo asks.

"Shut up." Sookie tells Hugo.

"Sookie, we need to get out of here. Just tell them what they want to know. Her name is Sookie Stackhouse, and I'm Hugo Ayers. The one in the other cage is Nova, she is married to a sheriff from another area." Hugo spills. I thank every god up above that he doesn't know I'm a witch. I would for sure be burned.

"Hugo, no." Sookie says.

"We were sent here by the vampires of Area Nine to find their sheriff." Hugo finally says.

Steve and Gabe question Sookie about her brother and then leave.

"Nice work." Sookie says.

"We sat down here all night waiting for your boyfriend to show up. You can go on and ply damsel in distress all you want, but one way or another, I'm getting' us out of here." Hugo says.

I just realize it's been all night and Godric hasn't woken. I think he is weak from lack of blood. I bite my write till I bleed then drop it in him mouth. I massage his throat till he swallows.

"Hugo, do me a favor, please. Just shut the fuck up." I hear Sookie say in frustration.

"Hey! Hey, I need to use the bathroom. Hey! Come on, let me out of here!" Hugo says.

"Here. I'll turn my back." Sookie tells him.

"I don't need that. I need to get the hell out of here." Hugo says.

"Hugo, this is not helping. Just sit down. Try to relax." Sookie sooths. She goes quiet for a second. "You. You're the traitor."

"I used to be just like you. Thought I was a real emancipated thinker, especially when Isabel took me to bed, and the s*x was... amazing. The best I ev... well, you know. It's addictive, isn't it? To be desired by something that powerful." Hugo tries to explain.

"I'm no addict." Sookie defends herself.

"Nah, I guess you wouldn't know how your life changes to suit them. You start missin' work, can't get up in the morning, can't stand to leave them after dark. Before you know it, you're somebody you don't even recognize. Hell, Nova is married to a man and had a child with another man just to get what she wanted. She will never be one of them." Hugo says.

"So, you went to the Fellowship because you can't control yourself?" Sookie questions.

"I begged her to turn me. It was the only way we could be together as equals. But see, they don't want us to be equals. No, she's just been using me. The same way that Bill's been using you and the same way Eric has been using Nova. She is in too deep. She will die, but you and I can still walk away." Hugo says.

"You don't know Bill." Sookie says.

"I know he and his friends are having you do their dirty work. I mean, a telepath's gotta be a real trophy for a vampire." Hugo said.

"Shut up." Sookie tells him.

"All they care about is their own kind. That's why I joined the Fellowship." Hugo tries to reason with her.

"So, if the Newlins care so much about you, how come you're still in here? Face it, Hugo. You're nothin' but a fangbangin' traitor to them." Sookie tells him. He's also a traitor to the vampires as well. He will never fit in anywhere else again.

"Gabe. Gabe, she knows everything. You can let me out now. Hey. Anybody. Come on, let me out!" Hugo calls out.

"Yep. You're so all-fired important to them, aren't ya?" Sookie says sarcastically.

"Nova?" Godric question. I quickly look down to him.

"Hi Godric. Eric and I have been looking for you." I say.

"Why?" He asks. He must really be going through an episode this time.

"Well, Eric and I were worried we love you. We also have a surprise for you that might cheer you up." I say. "Would you like to hear about it while we wait to get out of here?"

"I would please, Nova." He says while I play with his hair.

"A couple of years ago Eric and I got blessed by the gods and I got pregnant. We had a son. His name is Draco Godric Eric Northman." I tell him smiling.

"You have a son?" He questions sitting up. He smiles at this.

"Yeah, I do. He is so excited to meet you." I tell him.

"He knows about me as well?" He asks shocked.

"Yeah, you're grandpa." I say.

We both see Gabe come in and we go silent.

"Gabe. What happened to your face? Listen, she knows everything, which never would have happened if you hadn't kept me locked down with a goddamn mind reader. I hope the reverend knows that I'm gonna need protection now." Hugo says.

"You want protection, you fangbangin' sack of shit? How's that for protection, huh? Here's a little more protection dor ya." Gabe says.

"Stop it!" Sookie yells.

"You and your moron brother think you can make an asshole out of me? That's what you think, huh?" Gabe questions.

"Get your filthy hands off me!" She screams.

"What's wrong? Your own kind not good enough for you? How about if I show you what you've been missin'?" He asks.

Godric opens the cage door and quickly runs over to the other cage. I follow and see Godric holding Gabe.

"Godric?" Sookie questions.

Sookie is rebuttoning her dress.

"Godric, it's me!" Gabe says. Like it matters.

Godric snaps his neck.

He turns to Sookie "You should not have come."

We hear screams.

"Bill!" Sookie calls.

"No." Godric says closing his eyes. "I'm here my child. Down here."

Eric appears. He gives me a kiss the. Focuses on Godric.

"Godric." He greets as he kneels at his feet. He has always done this for as long as I can remember.

"You were a fool for sending humans after me." Godric says looking at me. I know he is speaking to Eric, though. I know that is his way of excluding me.

"I had no other choice. These savages they... they seek to destroy you." Eric says a little upset. I believe he thinks I am included in humans.

"I'm aware of what they've planned." Godric says he points to Huge. "This one betrayed you."

"He's with the fellowship. They set a trap for us." Sookie butts in. I shush her.

"How long has it been since you've fed?" Eric asks him concerned.

"I require very little blood anymore." He says avoiding the question and making an excuse.

"I fed him love. I made sure he had some blood. It wasn't much but it is still something." I say. Eric gives me a look of gratitude.

The alarms start.

"Save the human." Godric says he turns to Sookie. "Go with him. I will take Nova with me."

"I'm not leaving your side until you are..."

"I can take care of myself." Godric interrupts Eric.

"Come on! We have to go." Sookie urges.

"Spill no blood on the way out. Go!" Godric gives the last order and Eric takes Sookie out of the room.
