*This is the polished/ better version of Magic trick. This story was written around 2 years ago and I decided to rewrite this story. This polished story has fewer typos, better pacing (I think), and better diallage. I also changed a few scenes. The original is still available as well.
It was a hot day in Agrabah, in fact so hot you could see literally heat waves. It was not a good day to be selling goods and wandering around but Aladdin and friends were doing it anyway. Today was their monthly marketplace check. They would have to check every market stall and make sure things were well. No produce could be expired and they had to meet the minimum profit for them to stay.
Aladdin looked over at a stall of apples. Jasmine followed closely behind.
"The prince and princess have visited my stall? What could be better?" the seller joked.
Aladdin and Jasmine smiled at the man. Abu and Iago began looking at the fruit.
"Apples?" Abu asked, picking one up.
"I think Abu wants some," Jasmine said nudging Aladdin.
"Abu... If we buy you some food at all the stalls we wouldn't have enough hands to bring it all home," Aladdin said.
"Just one..." he said.
"Come on Aladdin he's hungry," Jasmine said.
"Oh alright..." Abu's face lit up, "Go on. Pick some out," he said in defeat as he pulled out some coins.
Abu quickly ran past Iago causing him to spin out of control. As Abu grabbed 4 apples and shoved them in his vest Iago had spun right into the princess leg causing him to stop. He quickly got up dizzily and tried to fly away. Only to cause him to fly into a brick wall. Aladdin and Jasmine laughed at Iago only to stop when he gave them the death stare.
An hour or so later and only 50 out of the thousands of stalls the check were done the group was beginning to loose interest. Plus the sun was reaching further and further into the sky causing the temperature to jump higher and higher. After checking a jewelry cart Jasmine went over to the side to rest. She leaned up against the wall and huffed. Aladdin went over to her and too joined the shade.
"How many more, I'm tired," Jasmine asked.
"Same," Iago agreed flying over to him.
"We've only gotten like 50 stalls done you guys. come on pull your shelves together," Aladdin said, "Look Abu is still up for some more," he added looking at the monkey who was eating a banana.
"I don't know if it's just me or has there been more stalls added to the marketplace this past year," Iago asked.
"It does seem like it, I don't know maybe more people started selling good when we dropped the minimum profit this past year," Jasmine suggested.
"What ever it is we still have more stalls to check," Aladdin said leaving the wall.
Hearing that Iago and Jasmine both groaned in unison. Aladdin sighed as he walked out of the shade. Suddenly bright blue smoke appeared and when it cleared their good old friend was there.
"What's with all this moaning!?" He questioned.
"It's to hot to be doing anything today and we still have to check stalls! We've only done like 50," Aladdin replied.
Taking this Genie gave all 4 of them ice packs. He looked around and noticed everyone looked drowsy. Then a good idea (at the time) popped into his head.
"Guys we can't waste such a good day slouching around the place. Let's give everyone a little enthusiasm. By putting on a magic show!" Genie went down and whispered into Aladdin's ear, "I'm really good at that."
Aladdin looked at Jasmine and Iago. They looked at each other and nodded.
"It's fine with us. Besides it would get out minds in a better mood," Jasmine replied.
Aladdin nodded to Genie and he then turned into his magician outfit. He then snapped and Iago, Aladdin, and Abu were all magicians just like him. Iago had a magic wand in claws and a suite. Aladdin had a suit and cards in his hand. And Abu wearing a vest and had keys.
"What about me?" Jasmine asked, crossing her arms.
"Oh don't worry Jaz, you have one of the best Jobs," Jasmine's face began to light up, "You're the volunteer." Genie smiled.
Jasmine's face dropped. She gulped.
"Um Genie, are you sure? I can be the-" Aladdin started.
"No need. I- I trust you Genie," Jasmine reassured. She smiled cautiously.
"Jasmine, don't worry. I will not let anything happen to you." Genie reassured hugging her at the same time.
With a snap of the wrist suddenly all 4 of them were on a stage, Iago sitting on a perch, Aladdin standing on the side and Jasmine on the other. Genie pulled out a megaphone and began advertising his show.
"Are you tired? Hot? All of the above? Well if you come see Genies Magic show, featuring the prince and princess," Genie yelled.
Soon many people gathered around the stage excited to see what was going to happen. Children, mothers, and beggars came. After a few minutes Genie decided that he had enough people and began shortly after. Magic cards were up first. He shuffled the cards and then asked for a volunteer.
"I can do it!" a boy yelled from the crowd.
"Well come on up then," Genie gestured.
The boy came up and pulled out a card. He looked at it and gave it back to Genie face down. Genie took the card and reshuffled it back into the deck.
"Now if I'm correct your card should be…" Genie picked out a card and showed it to the crowd, "4 of hearts!"
The boy was stunned and nodded yes. Everyone cheered. The next trick that was up was a magic box trick. Without warning he grabbed Iago causing him to screech. He then put him underneath the box and waved his wand around.
"Hey! Next time, warn me. I just took a-" But before Iago could answer a trap door beneath him gave way causing him to fall down. Iago was about to fly out when the trapdoor closed.
"I really hope this is part of the trick," Iago whispered to himself.
Meanwhile outside the crowd watched as Genie opened the box, relieving nothing. He smiled and watched the crowd gasp. Kids jumped up and down and were cheering. Aladdin and Jasmine clapped their hands and smiled. Then genie closed the box and waved his wand. All of a sudden Iago began to rise. It stopped when he was right under the box. Then Genie opened the box, almost blinding Iago from the bright light.
"AAA I didn't ask to be blinded!" Iago Yelled as he flew away.
"Now those were kind of eh tricks I would say but now we're getting some cooler ones. For the next one I will need a volunteer," Genie said as he looked over at Jasmine.
"That's your cue," Genie whispered.
Jasmine looked over at Aladdin and then walked to the center of the stage. She gulped and waved. Silence. Then with a snap of the wrist Jasmine was sitting on a stool and around her there were hoops, gates, and teeter totters. The last hoop, and the smallest one was lit on fire.
"Now this is what I call the cat Olympics!" Genie yelled.
"Why cat?" Jasmine asked.
"You'll see…" Genie said. He waved his wand in the air saying random words and then a puff of smoke surrounded Jasmine. She began to have a tingling feeling and she felt like her body was changing. She felt herself form and twist. Then a bright light blinded her for a moment. When she reopened her eyes everything seemed normal. That was until she looked down. Jasmine gasped as she saw she had paws. Startled, she turned around and realized she also had a tail and was covered in fur. She felt her face and felt a small snout. She was a cat. Her fur was black. She had a fluffy tail, brown eyes, some extra hair on the top of her head, and a collar like her headpiece.
"Genie, is that supposed to happen?" Aladdin asked worriedly.
"Why of course. Jasmine couldn't fit through those hoops. Especially that one," Genie pointed to the fire one. Jasmine gulped.
Genie nudged Jasmine to a ramp, but she wasn't having it. Jasmine froze up and began to shiver. She put her paws over her eyes.
"Genie please, I chicken out. I don't want to go on with this," She tried to say, but all that came out was a soft mew.
"Come on Jaz it's for them," Genie pointed to the crowd.
Jasmine looked at the crowd, gulped and then continued down the ramp. She was at the beginning of the course. Iago and Aladdin looked at each other and worried. Then Jasmine ran. She jumped over hurdles and through hoops. The crowd was cheering.
Meanwhile in the crowd a young boy and girl, brother and sister were walking their dog. They heard the yelling, cheering, and clapping and decided to check it out. They saw a crowd and pushed their way to the front. There they saw Genie, Aladdin, Iago, and a cat running through obstacles. The dog only saw the cat and began barking at it. The kids tried to quiet the dog down to no avail. The boy had an idea and walked away with the dog.
He tied the dog up to a nearby market stall and then joined the crowd. The dog however wanted to join his owners, and chase that cat. He looked over and saw his leash, he began tugging at it. Then with one big tug he pulled himself free from the stall and ran toward the crowd. He jumped onto the stage and began looking for the cat.
Meanwhile Jasmine was near the end of the course. Genie would pay for doing this. All she wanted was for it to be over and be back in her normal body. She was at the fire hoop.
'And this is the hoop of fire!" Genie said, "The most dangerous bit," he added.
"Great…" Jasmine mumbled to herself.
Then out of nowhere a dog came out from behind some boxes. He barked at her furiously and jumped towards her. Jasmine dodged the dog and tried running to Aladdin. The dog jumped in front of her blocking her way. The crowd began to worry. People were yelling and the brother, sister pair ran up on stage. They grabbed his leash and tried tying it somewhere on the stage. Jasmine clawed her way up on Aladdin and tried nestled herself in his arms. Iago flew away from Aladdin and Abu ran off stage,
"Genie help!" Aladdin yelled, holding onto Jasmine.
The dog however got loose and the kids lost hold of the leash. Jasmine hissed at the dog and in return the dog knocked over Aladdin causing all three of them to fall over. The crowd gasped. Some walked away while others stayed. Jasmine got loose from Aladdin's grip and ran off the stage with the dog following close behind.
"Bingo! Come back!" The girl yelled.
"Jasmine!" Genie yelled, "I'm sorry I'll change you back if you just come here."
But the cat and dog were long gone from the crowd. They ended up in an alley. Jasmine was tired from running but she had to keep going. Who knows what that dog would do if it caught up with her. She froze when she hit a dead end. She looked around frantically. The dog was getting closer. It growled at her.
"Stay back monster!" Jasmine yelled. However the dog didn't speak cat language. She extended her claws and waved her front leg around trying to show that she was big and scary. When in reality she was much smaller than the dog.
The dog started charging at her. Jasmine looked around one last time and spotted some box leading up against the wall. She climbed up the boxes when the dog caught up to her. Halfway up the dog grabbed into her collar and began to pull her down. She screeched and used her claws to scratch the dog on his nose. She felt bad but it was in self defense.
The dog yelped in pain. He tugged on her collar one last time but it ripped off of her, leaving Jasmine collarless. The collar and the dog fell toward the ground. He landed in some hay stored in one of the boxes. Jasmine clawed her way up and onto the other side of the wall. However there were no boxes of soft hay to land on. Thinking fast she tried landing on her feet. She took a leap of faith and closed her eyes. She to her surprise landed on all four feet, but she did feel a bit dizzy. She was beginning to learn about how to work in this new cat body, though it didn't mean she wanted to be in it.
Aladdin and the brother-sister pair ran to the commotion. They turned to see Bingo, the dog, clawing at the wall. The brother gasped while the sister screamed when they saw blood on their dog. Aladdin went over to the dog and wiped away its blood on its nose. He took his cape and wrapped it around the dog. He gave the dog to them. Just then Iago, Abu, and Genie came from around the corner.
"Great idea Genie! Let's just hope she's not dead!" Iago yelled.
"Genie, what were you thinking?" Aladdin asked in rage.
"Al, I didn't know that all this would happen. Honestly please, don't try to get mad." Genie begged.
"Whatever! Now who knows where Jasmine is," Aladdin grunted.
"It's not such a good day to be out, it's like an oven out here-" Iago said, but was interrupted.
"I don't care! We have to find her before sundown, And you," Aladdin pointed to Genie, "And you are helping me," He pointed to Iago.
"Why do I have to help? I wasn't the one who came up with the idea or-"
"Because you know deep down in your heart that you want her to be safe and sound," Aladdin interrupted.
Iago as much as he didn't want to, couldn't agree more.
"I know a potion that we can make to change her back," Genie suggested. Taking this advice Aladdin came up with a good plan in his head.
"Ok here's the plan. Iago and Abu you help make the potion. Genie and I will search for Jasmine," he explained.
"We're so sorry this happened! We should have tied him up more," The girl apologized.
"It's not your fault. Don't worry we will make sure the princess comes home safe and sound. For now you two just make sure that Bingo is ok," Aladdin reassured them.
The sister and brother nodded and began to walk home.
Aladdin looked around the alleyway one last time before noticing something shiny laying on one of the boxes. As he got a closer look he was shocked to see the collar that Jasmine was wearing. Aladdin looked around the alley way and then at the collar.
"Al?" Genie asked.
"Come one guys," he started, "We got work to do,"
Jasmine looked back at the wall she had just climbed over.
"What if they never find me? What if I'll be a cat forever? Why did I go through with the stupid show anyways?" she thought as she walked.
She was very hot and tired, though she wanted to just sit down and nap she knew she needed to keep going. She did not want to be a cat during the night. Where the weather takes a turn for the worst and the temperature drops. However all that was on her mind was water. She was so thirsty. Luckily she knew where water was sold and hopefully the seller wouldn't notice her.
Jasmine ran to where she thought was the marketplace where the water was. However she soon figured out she had no idea where she was. The more and more she turned corners the more she got lost. Reality set in for Jasmine as she noticed she was all alone. Alone in an isolated place in Agrabah, alone, tired and afraid. She looked up at the sun and noticed it would soon be nightfall.
Jasmine couldn't give up though. She climbed up a brick building to get a better view of the palace. But climbing the wall was much easier when she had boxes to help. After many failed attempts she hissed at the wall and walked away in frustration. After some walking she heard people, people's voices. She followed them and soon she found herself in part of the marketplace. Crowds were dying down, it was almost sundown. "How long have I been wandering?" she wondered.
Then her eye stumbled upon a watering trough. "Maybe, just maybe," she thought as she walked toward it. She was so relieved when water, actually, water was in it. She began to drink the water. It was cold and refreshing on her throat. She also had some time to look at herself. She noticed she had extra hair on her head. She also noticed that she lost her necklace. Jasmine wondered what Aladdin was thinking, was he looking for her?
Then she heard screaming behind her. Startled, she slipped, falling into the watering trough. She clawed her way out of the trough and onto the pavement below.
"NO ONE GETS A DRINK OF WATER UNTIL THEY PAY FOR IT!" the seller yelled. He had a broom in his hand and looked furious. Definitely not like the other water seller, she would give water to any animal.
She ran away from the scary seller and into the marketplace. She was very scared and now she was shivering. Reality again set in when she noticed the sky turned from pink to blue. She knew she wasn't going to be found before night fell. The only reasonable place she could think of to spend the night would be in the old hovel. The one Aladdin stayed in when he was homeless. Though it would take some time to find it.
Slowly she walked through the marketplace and made it to Aladdin's hovel. Once she climbed the stairs Jasmine gathered some worn blankets and pillows to make herself a makeshift bed. When it was done she collapsed on the bed and looked up at the night sky. Her legs were tired from running so much, her paws hurt from walking on the hot pavement, her stomach was growling at her since she was very hungry, but she was too tired to go out and try to steal something to eat. She watched as palace lights blew out. She hoped Aladdin was going to search for her first thing tomorrow. Or will he eat breakfast, get dressed, take a bath? Allah knows what. Jasmine grabbed more blankets due to the wet fur freezing due to the chill.
"Oh Aladdin… if you hear me… please come find me…" her voice was weak due to the yelling and the frigid coldness. Her shivering subsided just enough for her to drift off to sleep.
Aladdin sighed as he searched the market place. He was getting worried and tried as well. Who knows what could have happened to Jasmine. She could be kidnapped, she could be lost, she could have been adopted by another family. Or she could be- no he couldn't think of that. His thoughts were interrupted when Genie came and patted him on the shoulder.
"Al, it's getting late, we have to get to the palace and get some rest," Genie sighed. Genie knew that it was hard for Aladdin to give up and stop looking for her but it was getting too cold. It was getting too dangerous to keep searching.
"But we haven't found her. She could be dead as far as I know…" Aladdin cried. Aladdin was full of rage, worriedness, and sadness.
"Al, you have done a lot today, you need rest. Plus we will have better luck in daylight," Genie reassured.
"I guess..."
"Plus Jasmine couldn't be reformed back now since the potion has to sit overnight."
"Ok… let's go home," Aladdin reluctantly agreed. And with that the two hopped on Carpet and flew toward the palace. Aladdin looked down at the hovel he once called home. He then looked at the palace and wished he could spend tonight with Jasmine. She was really missing out on tonight's supper. He also wasn't ready to tell the sultan what had happened to Jasmine. He felt terrible for just giving up on her like that and calling it a day for finding her. But it would be no use. Finding a black cat at night would be yield little no no results.
Once in the palace everyone got ready for bed. Aladdin looked out into the night sky on the balcony. This would be a very long night.
"Oh Jasmine, if you're hearing this… please say you're ok." He whispered.
Aladdin got onto his side of the bed and tucked himself in. It felt weird not having extra weight on the other side of the bed. It just wasn't the same without her. But soon he felt his eyes go heavy and he soon entered dreamland.
The next morning Aladdin woke up. He had a bright mindset in mind and was determined to find his beloved Jasmine. After Aladdin got dressed and got ready he quickly walked to Carpet and Genie's room.
"Oh… come on. 5 more minutes," Genie grumbled in his sleep.
Aladdin rolled his eyes and then got down to Genie's ear.
"Pancakes are ready-"
"What? I'm up!" Genie said jerking up. Then he looked down at Aladdin, "Oh I guess it's time to find a cat,"
Aladdin nodded and then got on Carpet, who had been awake a hour previous. After Genie got on Carpet the three flew out of room through a window.
Shortly after they left Jasmine began to stir. After some groaning and stretching Jasmine opened her eyes. Only to be greeted by a hovel and black paws.
"Ugh, It wasn't a dream…"
Jasmine climbed out of her makeshift bed and walked down the stairs. Her tummy growled as if it hadn't been fed in months. She was very hungry and she couldn't bear to eat any cat food that was sold. She had to eat something real.
When she reached the end of the hovel she began running toward the marketplace. Hopefully she was going to be found soon. Jasmine entered the market palace the same way she did when she first escaped the palace, except she was a cat this time. She knew where the fruit stands were. When she reached one she saw the same vendor who tried to cut her hand off. Looking at all the fruits there were so many more than just apples. There were pears, strawberries. kiwis, bananas, and peaches. After some deciding she choose a peach. When the shopkeeper was distracted she took a peach in her mouth, it was a big one too. She would have also gotten away with it if it wasn't for a little kid.
"Kitty!" the child said as he pointed toward her.
The shopkeeper turned around and was enraged. Jasmine almost dropped her food in the process and ran away from the vendor. He tried chasing her with his big knife but he was making a scene. So he didn't go through and went back and continued to sell fruit.
Jasmine ducked into a nearby ally and began to eat. She only had a few bites when the feeling of being watched overwhelmed her. Jasmine looked around cautiously before continuing to eat the peach. The juicy fruit filled her up enough to continue her day. When she finished she left the remains of the peach behind. Jasmine began to walk down the alley. One night of sleeping in the hovel was not enough. She was still exhausted. Jasmine looked around in the ally. It was dark and looked abandoned. She then noticed some barrels. Her stomach growled and she looked back at the barrels. "Maybe, just maybe" she thought. Jasmine walked closer to the barrels and looked inside. Nothing. She looked in the other one. She peeked her head in more and then something jumped on her nose. She jumped back, started and fell over. A spider was crawling on her tail now. She shook her tail as hard as she could to get her spider off.
Jasmine hated spiders and snakes, it was one of her biggest fears. After some screeching and freaking out she managed to pull herself together. Then her nostrils filled up with a god scent. She followed the scent trail and ended up near some crates. Again she peeked her head and saw some bread. Excited Jasmine dove in head first and grabbed some bread in her mouth. Just then she heard growling. Jasmine barely had anytime to look up before a big creature ran full force and knocked over the barrels she was standing on. Jasmine quickly shot her head up and saw a dog. A big scary drooling dog who looked like he was infected by some sort a disease. Jasmine was taken out of her trance when it barked loud in her face. Now full of fear the princess clawed herself out from the barrels and ran away. But she heard the loud pounding foot steps behind her. She knew the dog was hungry, and cat was on the menu today.
As much as she ran the hope of making it out alive faded. The dog was getting closer, she could hear it. Just then to her horror another even bigger dog appeared right in front of her. Thinking fast she quickly took a sharp turn left and ran. But to her horror yet again she noticed that there was no way out. There were no boxes to climb, no exit, nothing. But she was going down with a fight. As she neared the brick wall she saw something. It was a small hole that was at the foundation of the wall. She had to take a chance. As the dogs neared her she could feel them at the very end of her tail. Then quickly she went full speed toward the hole. Jasmine quickly squeezed herself into the tiny hole. She just barely got in as after she pulled her tail in the dogs shadows could be seen. The dogs then began to growl and dig at the hole. As Jasmine looked around the dark area for a escape she soon came to the realization that there was no escape. it was just a little den some small animal used. Without any more options Jasmine meowed and screeched as loud as she could.
Carpet soared above the city as Aladdin and Genie looked below for the lost princess.
"Do you see anything?" Aladdin asked.
"Nope not yet," Genie said. He was looking down at the ground with a giant telescope. Just then Aladdin got an idea.
"Carpet follow my lead," Aladdin said as he took gave the rug directions.
"Where are we going?" Genie asked confused.
"Where we found this," he said pulling out the collar from his vest,"
"You don't think-"
"I bet she's somewhere nearby. I think she would be smart enough to stay close," he finished.
As Carpet descended down the alleyway Aladdin was about to hop off when distant barking sounds could be heard.
"I bet it's just a dog pack," Genie said.
"We're not taking any chances," he said getting off Carpet and running to the sounds. Genie and Carpet followed. When they arrived they saw 2 dogs barking and digging at something by a wall. Genie quickly floated over to the dogs and summoned a rib-eye steak for each. Though the distraction wasn't helping. Genie floated over to the dogs and then pointed each of their heads to the steak. Within seconds the dogs left the wall, walked over, grabbed their steaks, and ran off. Aladdin walked up the the hole and tried to look inside.
"Hello?" he asked as he stuck his hand in.
Jasmine seeing the hand quickly swatted it away with it's paw's and hissed.
"Ouch!" Aladdin cried as he pulled his hand back.
"And that's why you don't stick your hand in dark holes," Genie said.
"There's a cat in there," Aladdin said looking at the hole.
"Don't worry Al I got this,"
Genie then put his hand in there. Jasmine was about to swat at the hand when she noticed the hand was blue. She stopped and then listen in on the voices.
"Al I'm not feeling any-" then he stopped when he felt sharp claws on his hand.
After Genie pulled back his hand a tiny black cat emerged from the hole.
"Oh it's a poor kitty cat..." Genie said sadly.
"Here kitty I'm not gonna hurt you," Aladdin pulld out his arms.
Jasmine was about to jump in his arms when she thought, 'Did he not recognize her?'
"Poor thing's scared. Maybe if we offer it some food," Genie said poofing another steak in front of the cat.
Even though Jasmine wanted to eat the steak what she wanted was Aladdin to recognize her. Jasmine leapt into Aladdin's lap and began meowing. Aladdin picked up the cat and began to pet it all over.
"Aww..." Aladdin sighed.
As Aladdin pet her over Jasmine thought of a way for Aladdin to recognize her. She couldn't speak so she had to think of something else. Jasmine looked around and saw in Aladdin's vest a bright blue shiny thing. She pulled on the collar trying to pull it free.
"Oh the cat likes jewels. Reminds me of someone," Genie joked.
"What? Do you want this?" Aladdin asked pulling out the jewel.
Jasmine grabbed the jewel in her mouth and smiled.
"I would let you keep it but this belongs to someone,"
Jasmine rolled her eyes and walked on Carpet.
"What?" Aladdin asked confused.
"Maybe the cat want's to go on a Carpet ride,"
Jasmine dropped the jewel from her mouth. She pointed at the jewel and then herself. It took a moment but soon Aladdin understood.
"Jasmine?" he asked.
The cat nodded and grabbed the jewel.
"Jasmine it's you!" Aladdin cried in joy.
Aladdin picked up Jasmine and placed her in his lap. Finally he found his love. Jasmine knowing she was safe nestled herself in Aladdin's arms and fell asleep.
"Can we keep her this way?" Genie asked getting on Carpet.
Aladdin rolled his eyes at Genie. Aladdin stared down at the cat in his arms the whole ride home. He couldn't wait for Jasmine to be reformed back and for her to tell everyone her crazy stories.
"I was just kidding," Genie mumbled as they entered the throne room. Carpet descended down where Iago and Abu were ready with the potion. Iago and Abu jumped off. Aladdin however just looked at the sleeping cat in his arms and smiled. He nudged one of her paws to wake her up.
"Come on Jaz, wake up,'" Aladdin said gently. Jasmine slowly opened her eyes. She noticed she was in the palace and in someone's arms. She looked and saw Aladdin smiling down at her. In return Jasmine mew softly and purred. Rajah walked up to her and purred as well. Jasmine at first was startled but then calmed down after she realized it was just Rajah.
The sultan ran over to Aladdin and picked her up. The sultan flipped her on her back and rubbed her belly. He rubbed his fingers under her chin, he stroked her back, and kissed her on the head.
"Oh my boy. Thank you for finding my daughter." He thanked Aladdin. Genie came around with the potion. Jasmine was so ready to be back as a human. She was also really hungry, and soon she would be able to tell everyone.
"Ok are we ready?" Genie asked.
Jasmine mewed in response. The sultan walked over and put her down on the marble floor.
"So Aladdin are you sure we can't keep her like this?" Iago asked.
Jasmine rolled her eyes and then pounced on Iago.
"Jasmine I was joking!" Iago said trying to pull himself away from her grasp. When Jasmine wasn't looking Genie went over and poured the black cat. At the feel of it Jasmine's eyes shot open and her ears perked up. She looked back before smoke engulfed her.
As the potion took effect the same tingling feeling overcame Jasmine's body. Again the same bright light blinded the princess. When she opened her eyes she noticed she had hands. She looked over her whole body and noticed she was human once more.
"Ugh can- can you please get-" Iago said out of breath.
Jasmine gulped before getting off of the flattened bird. Just then Aladdin came and gave her the biggest hug.
"Oh Jasmine! I missed you so much last night, it was so lonely," Aladdin cried.
"Meow?!" Jasmine answered.
"Oh my…" The sultan sighed.
Then giggling came from Jasmine, "Just kidding"
Everyone in the room started to laugh. When the group hug was done Jasmine knew exactly what she wanted to do.
"So Jaz, now that you can speak. What's the first thing you want to do?" Genie asked. Jasmine was about to respond when her stomach answered for her.
"Food it is then," Aladdin teased.
"Can we have pancakes?" Iago asked.
"Yes Iago, yes we can," Jasmine agreed.
As the group headed toward the dining hall Aladdin stayed behind to help Jasmine. She was having trouble balancing on 2 legs after being on 4 for about a day. During brunch everyone was asking Jasmine questions about what happened. She tried to keep up as much as she could.
"Well… I would say the best part is running real fast."
"And the worst?" Iago asked.
"Well during the middle of the night I had to wake up to bathe and that wasn't the best of tastes." she admitted.
Everyone began to laugh and brunch proceeded like normal. Jasmine was very happy that she was back home, back in her own body, and back in her lover's arms. Where she knew no matter what, he would always come to find her.
