Sunlight Town
The four of them rush into the town to see...
Broken buildings...
Broken windows...
And...Injured townsfolk.
They all splitted up to check on the injured townsfolk in front of them.
"What happened?!" Sam asked in a panic.
A Paragoomba looks up at Sam struggling to get up. "These guys they attack everyone when we didn't tell them something they wanted."
"Why didn't you tell them!? You could of avoided getting this badly injured!"
"Because we had no idea what they ment..."
"Oh!" Sam now understanding helped the Paragoomba up.
"So what did they want? I mean if they went this fair it couldn't be good."
The Paragoomba groaned from the injuries. "Th..ey wanted...Something called...The Spiritual Lantern..."
"WAIT WHAT!?" Sam yelled.
Sam's ear twitches as he hears his friends yell out the same thing he did.
Sam turns to his friends and notices his friends scared and worried faces and gulps a bit. "Y-You mean...The one that was used to..?"
"I guess it was but I-I mean it's just a legend right? It can't be real since when have legends become real." The Paragoomba said trying to stay at least a bit positive.
Sam looks over to the side. "Umm...I'm sure that happens quite a lot."
Sam gulped as he puts the Paragoomba against the wall and heads over to his friends.
"Ok so our home is doomed. Along with everyone else." Sam says bluntly.
Bugzy glares at Sam. "Don't be so blunt about it!"
"I mean it can't be hidden in this town right? This town just seems like a terrible place to put it."
Boomy nods. "Yeah it would." He looks over at Sam.
"Hey Sam that book that I told you to never read to me again?"
Sam nods after getting a response continues. "Ok! So Sam did you see anything in that book that could have some answers to where The Spiritual Lantern could be?"
Sam thought for a moment and nodded. "Yeah it did say something I thought it wasn't important so I didn't mention it when I read it to you."
Flora smiles at the same time the wind starts to pick up a bit as she starts to head off in the direction of the Library with the other three following behind her.
Bugzy chases after the other three as they were a lot faster than her. "Get back here! You guys don't ditch me!"
-Later-
After a bit of rushing they stood in front of the Library which had a huge hole where the door used to be.
"Would it kill these guys to use the door?" Boomy sighs at the lost of the door.
Boomy floats into the building by then Bugzy finally catches up with them catching her breathe and falling down onto the floor. "Y-You guys! DITCHED ME!"
Sam and Flora gave a nervous look. "Oh uhh sorry Bugzy...We're just worried about the town you know."
Bugzy rolled her eyes annoyed. She was about to say something before hearing a loud crash from inside the Library. They all look inside to see Boomy biting someone. That someone had blue horns matching their skin tone and across his eye was a scar. He was wearing a coat that looked a bit teared up with a white fur collar around the neck of the coat and hanging out of the coat laying on the ground was a tail it had a point at the end a point that resembled a demon's tail.
"You brat! Get off me! AND STOP BITING MY HORNS!" The stranger yelled.
Boomy glared at him. "No! After what you did to everyone in this town! I won't allow it!"
The three watch as Boomy keeps on biting the stranger with his sharp Boo teeth. "Wow Boo teeth really good at biting others. Wait are we sure Boomy isn't a vampire?" Sam asks tilting his head.
Bugzy groaned "No sam! He's a ghost not a vampire."
"But what if he's a vampire ghost?"
Bugzy rolls her eye annoyed at Sam. "I don't think thoses exist."
Sam grinned. "Duh! They bite others while invisible so no one can see them bite others!"
Bugzy brings her front legs to her face and groans into them but before she could respond to Sam's response Flora interrupted her. " Shouldn't we help Boomy?"
Sam and Bugzy both look at her and gave a nervous look. "Oh right."
"CHARGE!" Sam yelled before flying onto the stranger's face and scratches his face.
The stranger growled before grabbing Sam by his wing and Boomy by his tail and throwed them both to the ground before clawing them both with his sharp claws.
Sam growled at the claw mark. "Hey! Why do you even want The Spiritual Lantern!? You do know what's trapped inside of it!"
The stranger raised his claw up before grabbing Sam by his head and brings him up to eye level. "Of course I know what I do is to bring back our master."
Sam angry expression turns to fear. "W-Wait...Are you one of the members of that army that worked for that beast?!"
The stranger tighten their grip on Sam causing him to wince a bit. "That beast is our master you shall watch your tongue when addressing him weaklin-"
Before he could continue he felt a strong force push him across the room causing him to let go of Sam's head and slams him right into a shelf of books and with the force and bunch of books fell down from the shelf crash landing right onto him covering him almost everywhere. He let out a dizzy like groan as Sam looks to see Flora floating in front of him and she turns to check on him and asks. "You alright Sam?"
Sam held his head which was stinging from the claw's grip on his head. "Well I kinda have a pain on my head along with being slammed onto the ground."
Flora let out a smile but when they all saw that smile they knew it wasn't good as they saw her approach the stranger covered book as she pulled him out of the books with a strong gust of wind and slamming him down onto the ground. "Now sweetie mind telling me what your plan is now?"
Flora's voice it sounded a lot more different then what she sounded like before. It sounded more sinister but she still kept smiling. The stranger getting out of his dizzy state looked up at her and glared at her. "Try your worse."
Flora smiled as with the force of the wind lifts him up and crashes him into another shelf of books and lifts him up again and slams him into another. Boomy,Bugzy and Sam backed up a bit while watching Flora throw the stranger everywhere throwing him all over the place.
Bugzy climbed onto Sam to look at his head. "He sure had a tight grip on your head Sam."
She poked at it causing Sam to hiss at it. "Yeah I know! And don't touch it. It hurts like a bitch."
Bugzy climbed down with a apologetic face. "Oh sorry Sam."
"It's fine but who the hell is that guy that Flora is beating up?" After Sam finishes saying that the stranger was thrown right in front of them almost unconscious.
They all look with stunned silence as Flora floats back over to them. " Well that takes care of that."
Boomy pokes the stranger but he only respond with a groan before his head falls to the ground.
"Whoa Flora did you kill a guy?"
Flora shakes her head. "No he's alive."
Bugzy walks around the now unconscious stranger. "I'm suprised he didn't die from weren't holding back after all"
Sam looks past them and sees a lot of fallen books. "Well now because of that we have to go book hunting through this book pile."
Boomy looks down at the stranger. "But what should we do with this guy? I mean did you see what happened to the town he might of been caught off guard by Flora but could he been doing this along or did he have others helping him?"
"Hmm that is possible Boomy we don't know how many still worship that beast."
"Well let's just call th-" But before Sam could finish a bright light surrounded the stranger.
"What the fuck?"
"Is that ment to happen?!"
"Is he gonna blow up?"
"WHAT THE HELL!?"
In a flash of bright light the stranger was gone without a trace. They all looked at the place the stranger was before looking back at each other. "So did Flora really kill him?"
"BOOMY!"
Boomy sighed. "I mean come on what other explanation is there?"
Sam groaned. "Whatever let's find that book and get my head looked at."
"And?" Flora says.
"And what?" Sam asked confused.
All of them gesture towards the town. "Oh and also maybe fix the town."
They all headed towards the book pile and started searching.
"Huh. Tale Of Ghosts?"
"Were not here to look at books about Boomy's spiecies."
"History Of The Bob Omb Battlefield War?"
"Well that's kinda close Boomy but not correct history."
"Want To Learn How To Unleash An Evil Being? Ok what the hell are these books!? Why do we even have them these should be locked away from everyone!"
"Well Bugzy you're also close and also right. I mean we're looking for the book about The Spiritual Lantern but also these books really should be locked away."
Boomy digged deeper into the book pile and pulled out a blue book with golden lantern on the cover. "Sam! Sam! Look I found it!"
Sam turned towards Boomy and flew over to him to see the book he had found and smiled. "Great job Boomy!"
Boomy placed the book down and opened it as Flora and Bugzy made their way over to them to look through the book. Boomy speeds past the part he already had Sam tell him earlier and stops at a part he didn't have Sam tell him.
"It is said where The Lantern is hidden in what we call Ignis Chasm sealed behind an ancient door that can only be opened by Eight Flames Of The Abyss. These flames power were used to keep the doors open and once they were removed the doors shut. These flames were given to others with a promise to keep these hidden to prevent The Flames Of Disaster from happening once again and with this promise it has been kept for thousand years it being passed on to another and another to keep it from happening once again."
Boomy turned a page and what wasn't more writing but a map of the Sunbright Kingdom. "Huh? A map well we got our own personal map guys!"
Bugzy got a closer look at it. "Well this makes finding those Flames Of The whatever much easier we got a map of the whole kingdom!"
Flora tilts her head. "But does it show where they are?"
Sam looked down at the book and shakes his head. "Nope but that's ok! We at least have a map so we won't get lost!"
Boomy smiled but looks back at the book. "But where should we go first?"
"Oh I haven't thought of that yet hmm...Maybe here!"
Sam pointed at a spot on the map and that place was called. Radiant Falls.
"You sure Sam?" Bugzy questioned.
Sam grinned. "Yep sounds like a good place to start our search!"
Boomy closed the book. "Then it's settled! We're going to Radiant Falls! We can go through Grace Fields to get there!"
Sam and Bugzy cheered. "We're going to save this kingdom!"
Flora coughed a bit to get their attention who was giving them the mom look. "After we help fix up the town that is."
Flora then smiled as they all went outside to help fix up the town and help the other townsfolk.
Meanwhile
In a flash of light the stranger had fallen onto the ground with a groan.
"Really Victor? You lost to those guys? And you didn't even get the book!"
All that came out of Victor's mouth was a growl. "Hey don't be growling at me! Whatever it can still work! We just need to steal it off those four it'll be easy I'll do it myself!"
"But you'll get hurt..."
The figure froze a bit as a crow with a dark cloak flew next to them. "I don't want you to get hurt."
"I'll be fine Claw. After all..." A cold breeze blew by as a sharp ice spike shot out of the ground in front of them.
"I can handle this myself."
Claw sighed. "Just be careful Lily...You know how upset Victor will be if the plans keep failing to bring back our master."
Lily smiled. "No worries Claw I can do this!"
As ice particles danced around her hands she grinned. "Oh those four don't know what they're getting into."
