Skill : Intermediate Taijutsu - Konoha
Description: An intermediate set of fighting techniques all konoha shinobi are taught at the academy.
After Hirako sensei dismissed them, Ryu eagerly headed to the ninja library to get started on learning new techniques. He had no other skills in his repertoire besides the basics you learn at the academy. Right now he urgently needs to expand his skills if he wants to survive the upcoming war. There has been rumours spreading around already that Iwagakure has been ambushing Konoha ninja during missions, it seems war will be inevitable.
At the Library
He has been browsing around for a while now and picked out a kenjutsu style called Iaijutsu, which focuses on quickdraws and being fast with the blade, perfect for katanas. He also got 2 new skills he thinks will be perfect to be helpful in a short amount of time. The one is a genjutsu called false surroundings, which can layer a genjutsu on a location to make it seem like another location. It will be very useful for distractions or on missions when fighting if implemented right. The other is body flicker (shunshin) jutsu which can be good for retreating and he wants to see if he can battle with it. It supposedly is not good in battle because of how oriented you will be after using it.
He left for a training ground he has always used ,close to the outskirts of the village. When he got there, he decided to first read through all the scrolls to get a better understanding before he attempted them.
Around an hour later he felt he had a good understanding of them and in between reading he had been exercising to try to improve his stats.
''Ok, here goes, shunshin jutsu!'' Poof
He felt himself get pulled, and in an instant he collided with a training post that was about 20 feet from where he was.

Upon use: You will be able to move up to 10 metres in one direction.
"Nice, I should try to level up this first, then learn the genjutsu, and if there's time, start kenjutsu practice according to the scroll. I have 2 hours before the ninja patrol escorts me home, if I'm not in.".
Almost 2 hours later
He levelled up his body flicker to level 3 and can go up to 30 metres, he also managed to learn the false surrounding genjutsu, but wasn't able to get the stances of the Iaijutsu down in time. He increased his strength and vitality by one. It seems he won't be able to increase all his stats by 1 today because he forgot to get books to read, he will try going over his textbooks from school when he gets home.

When he got home he took a shower, ate and read an hour before bed.

This is the best I can do for today, I learned 2 new techniques today and was able to increase all my stats by 1 except wisdom. Tomorrow I'll get a book on tactics to try to increase wisdom. Before bed I always empty my chakra reserves on the only chakra control exercise I know, the leaf concentration exercise. I hope I get a strong sensei tomorrow to help me get stronger.
Tired and out of chakra he fell asleep.
The next morning, as the sun shone in his dreary apartment, Ryu groggily woke up with an exaggerated yawn.
"Today's the day of team selection , I think it was a good idea to sleep in today. I feel ready to take on any missions I get."
The time was just past 8 right now, team selection starts at proceeded with his morning routine minus the run around konoha, he increased the volume of his workout and added 20 minutes of practising taijutsu against a training post to toughen up his hinds and legs. After doing all that he arrived at the academy and waited in his seat until the selections began.
…."Listen up, I will release the team placements now."
He felt nervous as he heard Hirako sensei reveal the teams, he drowned him out while listening for his team.
After a few minutes he finally heard his team.
" Now team 9 will be Kurenai Yuhi, Yugao Uzuki and Ryu Aozora, your sensei is waiting for you at training ground 9, hurry up!"
When Ryu heard what Hirako sensei said he glanced at his new teammates. They were two girls he noted. Kurenai was a wavy, black haired girl with strikingly red eyes, wearing a beautiful white dress. Yugao was a straight, purple haired girl with warm brown eyes. Wearing a black and purple dress. He only took a moment to glance at them before he rushed off to the meeting place with his teammates right behind him.
10 minutes later they were all standing across a fair skinned, young woman of feminine build with violet eyes and red hair. She wore a blouse and underneath that a loose fitted dress.
"We will start with introductions. My name is Kushina Uzumaki. I dream of starting a family and plan to train you into a team of strong shinobi to fight for konoha.
