Prolog
Today was just a normal day at highschool. Boring, dry, and unfulfilling. I would pass the time by talking with this strange guy I met about a year ago. His name was Michael, he and I would usually hang out after school with my dad. My dad was a fisherman or a guy that loved to go across the sea, so around summer time my dad took Michael and I on a ship to travel across the ocean. So the reason this happened was because……(flashback) "hey dad I was watching One Piece, and I was wondering if you could kindly take myself and Michael on your small ship for a bit of the summer".
My dad sighs in confusion and disbelief. I bet he thought ("WHAT he really wants to leave the house for once") hm… "If his parents are fine with it". (holding the urge to burst in excitement) I say to him… "Aight I'll call him". (present) now we're on the open sea. I walk over to Michael to try to start a conversation, instead Michael "tells me that he's highkey surprised his parents allowed him to come". I listened while sitting on the mid tier wooden ship, enjoying the rushing winds, sea salt air, and the flowing water below.
I can understand why your parents allowed you to come, you're chubby, lazy and get no hoes. Michael, annoyed and slightly angered, replies with "you can't talk, you practically stay in the house way more than me. I look into the distance to forget this fight ever happened but, Michael says under his breath and "we both know you stay not gettin no females". I quickly responded with, what was that?! Michael successfully played it off and said "didn't say shiii". Now that I'm pissed I try to retaliate, why yo- my dad interrupts me mid sentence and yells to the both of us I smell a storm coming!
I look up visibly shook by those words to see dark, gloomy clouds form above me. It was as if we were side characters in an anime flashback because the boat starts to shake and thunderous clouds start to erupt. The flowing water starts to make the boat tilt over, then something unexpected happens. The clouds decided to have blackairforce energy and split the boat in half killing my father instantly. I couldn"t even process the act to be sad or cry because right after the boat split open and the two of us on different sides there was no hope for survival.
Water rushed into my half instantly. I tried holding my breath but there was no use. The waves were too wild to hold my head above them. I look over to Michael's half and I see his eyes closed. I assume the worst and give up. In the cold raging ocean I say to myself "when I die I hope I could at least have some sort of short second life because I'm about to die so young I'm only 15"!
I say this sobbing and then I start seeing flashbacks of me playing games, and just living my life. Then a white flash appears in front of my face. I open my eyes confused and saddened knowing that I am now dead. But then something approaches me. My anxiety skyrocketed, I began to panic and I frantically asked… "w-w-who's t-t-h-here".
The silhouette shows itself and says it is God, and that it heard me beg for a second chance since It let me die so young. God told me "since you watch what do you humans call it hmm, oh right anime you would like to get transported to a new world am I right"? Since I'm shakin up I reply with "y-yes sir y-you're right, preferably I would like to go to my favorite anime one piece since i'm dead now". God says to me.. "Ok I shall grant you the power to hop to different anime worlds after you are done with one of them". But then God explains to me "beware that this power is dangerous if you use it like an idiot".
Now that I know what's happening I say "ok thank you go-", but God cuts me off immediately and says "I'll see you when you die again brat, goodbye". I open my eyes on the beach, the wind is refreshing, the waters are calm. But behind me were pirates. These guys were apparently smuggling goods from a nearby village. This side character ass pirate runs up on me and says "aye kid get the hell up and pick up that box before I kill you". Me being a pushover and falling for the threat, quickly picks up the large box and puts it on the ship.
I say to myself ("why the hell am I even here, working for these jakasses well I can't really do anything about it, I guess I'll just try to get stronger".) (Timeskip 3 months) The last three months have been me doing vigorous training. I learned that this pirate crew works for a guy named Don Flamingo aka badass villain. The group's name is the nightmare pirates because the leader has the nightmare nightmare fruit. I've never seen his abilities. I've just heard stories and apparently he's op.
Even though I was forced into this rag-tag group of 30 people it's been interesting to say the least. The guy I trust the most is named Tsuno. He was once a Marine until his whole company got bodied by the leader whose name is Ornoki, the infamous nightmare nightmare fruit user. Then there were the vice captains of the crew. There were 5 of them and they had a weakest to strongest system.
Weakest being 5 and strongest being 0 which is Ornoki. 5: Kuzami devil fruit clay clay fruit type logia can turn herself into clay and invade spaces and make it clay so she can travel through it. 4: Rizonzo devil fruit shiver shiver fruit type zoan he can transform into a wolf like beast, it is said among all of the vice captains he is the most ruthless. Also when he does he howls it is so bone chilling that it creates hail, so his attacks can hit harder. 3: Kurigurio devil fruit the regen regen fruit allows him to obviously regenerate limbs at will, recover any damage taken within ten minutes, and the amount of damage he regenerates in a fight he multiplies it by 5 and he gets that strong within a week. 2: Ragnos devil fruit berserker berserker fruit in a fight this fruit allows him to amplify his strength and speed by 100x if he is weaker than his adversary.
1: Tsunami devil fruit limit breaker fruit this right here is op as hell for the fact that whenever she is about to lose a fight she breaks her limits and gets 30x stronger and she can do this infinitely. After learning all of this info I came to the conclusion that I would need to find myself a devil fruit if I want to keep up. ( Later that Day) Tsuno bursts open my door in a panicked state saying "get up it's urgent". I looked visibly confused laying on my hard bed half asleep then I started to hear the cries and screams of the crew members. I quickly rush out of my room with Tsuno to see Kizaru, the glint glint fruit user staring down Ornoki.
I say to myself ("what is this intensity I feel in this area it's suffocating") since Tsuno is too weak willed and is now experiencing ptsd of his Marine life, he couldn't handle the pressure and tires to run just to get stabbed by a marine grunt. I get enraged, saddened, and indecisive. I finally gain the courage to bolt out of the situation, but being successful unlikeTsuno( r.i.p) while dashing I see a majority of the vice captains dead. The only ones that were still alive and fighting are Tsunami and Ragnos. I rushed over in a panic to get info on what happened.
When I start to close in and approach them ragnos has lost one of his arms because it's frozen on the ground. He's bloodied, beaten,and exhausted. Tsunami has all her limbs intact and is just exhausted for the most part. But I looked over and my expression changed from serious to grim in an instant. Kuzami's body has been thrashed, her limbs ripped apart, it was as if a wild animal came and tore her to shreds. Rizonzo's head looked like it was blown open with the force of a mountain. Kurigurio's body was completely frozen over; it looked like he went to mount Everest with nothing but shorts.
I was in disbelief from what I just witnessed, the opponents they were fighting was aokiji and an unknown zoan type devil fruit user. I ran back to the captain's area just to see him being stepped on by Kuzaru. Kuzaru starts to talk shit to his defeated enemy "Hmm, too bad this is what happens when you dig your nose where it doesn't beeeloong". I start to glare at the admiral while feeling bad for Ornoki but trying to find an opening to escape. Kuzaru notices me and says "Hmm one of Ornoki's crew mates ha perish, scum".
I was too shocked and terrified to even move, the pain I felt driving through my chest at ridiculous speeds was so unbearable I almost instantaneously passed out. (Side note file got curropted so it said old text.)
I wake up abruptly on a beach side where the nightmare pirates ship has stopped. I look around the ship to find anyone, all of the lower ranked pirates have either died or have disappeared. I start to remember what happened on that day where Kizaru, Aokiji, and a strange zoan type devil fruit user attacked. In my energized state I decided to travel the islands in search of a devil fruit. (Timeskip 10 days) I find myself on an ancient island, I take a look around to see a majority of the island in a destroyed state. I say to myself "It looks like a crazy battle happened here not too long ago".
While I was in my thoughts something unexpected happened, an old man dressed like an assassin was walking into an ominous looking cave. Since I wanted to ask him some questions I made the decision to follow him. When I walked into the cave the entire atmosphere changed, the cave was cold, grimy, and prehistoric. The further I went the cave it started to look more primitive. Then I found a giant battle arena that was connected to a different area with a black and red fruit.
I start to approach this hypnotizing fruit, when I reach it the old man I saw earlier came out the woodworks and said "so you're after this unique devil fruit that appeared 10 days ago". I stumbled back in shock and said "where did you come from, and what is this place"? The old man replied saying "this is an ancient battle ground that all races used to come to". "So why are you here child"? "Are you after this devil fruit"?
I tell the old man "yes and no I came here in search of power, so I could get stronger. The old man nods and walks up to the devil fruit and hands it to me saying " eat it and I shall train you my name is Xio" I reply with gratitude saying "thank you old man Xio". I pick up the fruit and consume it. When I eat it I now know why it came here 10 days ago because it was Ornoki's nightmare nightmare no mi.
Chapter 1 The Training Arc
During this time training with old man Xio I gained a few abilities. One of them allows me to create a dome of darkness that gets me stronger the longer I'm in it. The next ability allows me to turn invisible, the final ability (for now) allows me to teleport inside other people's shadows. (Timeskip 3 months) During these three months I've been training in the ways of the assassin. Which consists of learning the silent step, being able to kill quickly, mastering the art of surprise, and being able to master a type of weapon, I choose twin daggers. I've also somewhat learned a new ability that is still in progress but it's called invasion. It allows me to control someone in their dreams like a nightmare.
Old man Xio and I have traveled across the seas dong different assassination jobs, like killing Marine captians or killing low teir pirates. I always thought before you become a true assassin you must defeat your mentor in a fight. But I spoke too soon. (Timeskip 1 year) It's been a year and 6 months since I came to the world of One Piece, and started training under old man Xio. I haven't been able to tap into any new abilities for my devil fruit, but I have mastered almost everything for an assassin. While I was laying down in an old forest that flourished with plant life and strange creatures, old man Xio came to me and said "my student I cannot teach you anything else you have successfully mastered all of my teachings".
"So for you to graduate and become a full fledged assassin you must defeat me". When I heard those words my blood became hot, my heart was pounding and I was excited. I tell old man Xio "ok I accept… master Xio", The battle between me and old man Xio was about to begin.
I say under my breath "invisibility" and I disappeared into the shadows. Old man Xio uses his senses to his advantage and spots an outline of me.
while was pursuing me with his eyes close I lead him into the sunlight for a second, I use the chance and say "Shadow Teleportation technique" in a flash I appear behind old man Xio almost connecting a blow, but the old mentor refused to go out this way, in an instant he sheathe his katana to clash with my twin daggers. We both backed up on instinct, the tension was high when a leaf dropped we both dash at each other with the intent to kill. I say under my breath "dome of darkness" an ominous aura came from my hand and a dome of black energy appeared. The second I took a step, the old man Xio said " not so fast now boy" and proceeded to kick me back 10 meters deeper into the forest. I compose myself and get ready for the next encounter, then I use the sensing ability of the assassins to asset the situation and make my next move. Meanwhile master Xio is bolting through the forest trying to sense me while using the silent step technique.
I sense the old mentor heading my way so I quickly decide to engage him in an all out fight. I sense him nearby the area with sunlight to try and bait me out, I purposely do so and say "Shadow Teleportation technique". Then we clash going blow for blow with punches, kicks, and slashes with our blades. I quickly back up to the jungle tree behind me then dash against it for a momentive strike. Old man Xio reads what i'm about to do and counters and says "Soul Blade Strike" this attack was so devastating that it eradicated the entire area including the tree I was on. I say to him " what a technique and what power" old man Xio replied with " It is a sword skill passed down from my ancestors for generations".
I say under my breath "invisibility" and "Shadow Teleportation technique" at the same time which did allow me to connect the first blow. Old man Xio was extremely surprised and said to himself ("This is the first time I have been hit critically in a while ever since that last battle against that worthy opponent Gold. D. Roger".) I see old man Xio tense up and focus, then I see his arms and hands turn black, and his blade was all black with a raging red and white lightning surrounding it. Old man Xio says to me "if you withstand this attack you pass, but if you do not you will perish". I say "dome of darkness!" To enhance my physical capabilities to their highest point, Old man Xio says "Divine Dragon Strike!"
This attack completely eradicated all plant life and made the island a desolate wasteland. Old man Xio looks into the distance pleased to see that I'm still barely standing with my shirt destroyed and my pants torn. I had a huge slash on my chest, cuts all over my body, my head was bleeding and I was exhausted. I fell to the ground and smiled knowing I passed the old mentors test. It was a long gruesome battle that lasted two days. Old man Xio says to me "well done, my first ever graduated student even though I was vastly holding back" I grin then pass out from pain and exhaustion.
