A month and a half later
''There they are.'' Holly exclaims with a bright grin as she watches Mason run out onto the field with his team, Brittany chuckles softly as the group, Holly and Maribel cheer Mason's name loudly and squeezes Santana's hand softly before dropping it.
She lifts two fingers up to her mouth whistling loudly and winks as her little brother jumps on his spot while waving at her.
''You got this Amazement!''
She burst out laughing as the girls start spelling Mason's name and shakes her head cuddling into Santana as Sam, Mike and Puck yell encouraging words for Mason's team. ''God everyone will think we are crazy.''
''It's his first game.'' Santana murmurs watching Mason as his coach crouches down to talk to his team. ''I think they will understand.'' She continues as she wraps her arm around her girlfriends waist while taking a sip of her water.
Brittany hums watching everyone around them settle down as the coaches continue talking to their teams and watches her little brother smiling slightly as she sees his feet scuff the ground. ''He is ready to kick some ass.''
''Think he will use the tricks we showed him?'' Sam asks leaning forwards to look at her, Brittany shrugs her shoulders and chuckles.
''I don't know Sam, we'll find out during the game.''
''Is it just me, or did he get taller the last few weeks?'' Maribel asks looking at the group.
''Nope it's not just you, B and I had to take him shopping two days ago because he grew out of almost all his clothes.'' Holly tells her while watching the little boys run around the field to warm up a bit.
''If he is anything like B, you can buy new clothes every six months.'' Puck tells her laughing, Brittany shakes her head and laughs.
''Shut up Noah, you needed clothes every three months.''
Santana chuckles and turns her head kissing her girlfriends cheek. ''You are ridiculously tall, I hope Maze won't be taller than me until he turns fifteen.''
''No chance babe.'' Brittany murmurs snickering.
''Yeah he will be just as tall as you are around the age of ten San.'' Noah tells her laughing.
''Time is flying so fast.'' Maribel exclaims with a sigh. ''In about three months we have a graduation to attend to Holl's.''
''God soon these idiots won't be around everyday to keep us on our toes.'' Holly breaths out with a groan, Brittany leans forward to look at her and winks.
''I hope I will be in Nashville, but you still have Maze here to keep you on your toes Holly.'' She tilts her head and raises an eyebrow. ''Did you just call us idiots?''
''Ssht it's starting.'' Quinn exclaims pointing at the field, Brittany chuckles reaching over Santana to push Holly as she just smirks and shakes her head.
''This conversation isn't over.'' She promises as she cuddles into her girlfriend facing the field.
Last inning.
Brittany sits forward folding her hands in her lap with Santana's hand placed between her own as she watches her little brother walk up to the home base ready to hit with three of his teammates covering the three bases. ''Last hit, if he hits it hard they will all return home.'' She breaths out as they all sit forward holding their breaths as he takes the right position.
She bites her lip dropping her head as he misses the first ball by a few inches and slowly runs her thumb over Santana's hand as she hears the group, Holly and Maribel softly chant Mason's name.
She watches Mason as he misses his second shot noticing the trembling of his body and turns to his coach sitting up as she sees him raise his arms after the ball hits the ground requesting a time out, she watches him call Mason over as soon as the empire calls Time telling everyone he allowed a time out and turns to the group. ''The loud cheering makes him nervous as fuck.''
Holly nods her head in agreement having seen the trembles going through Mason's body and glances at the field, she smiles as the coach points at Brittany and makes a come hither motion and turns to Britt nodding her head to the field. ''Coach asks you to come down.''
Brittany frowns turning to the field and stands up as she sees the coach calling her over. ''Be right back.'' She tells everyone softly as she sees Mason also pleadingly looking at her, she takes off her baseball cap handing it Santana and jogs down the row to the stairs.
She waits in front of the gate as the coach jogs over after yelling at the team to stay put and locks eyes with him.
''Mason needs you for a few seconds, he says you can calm him down.'' He informs her as he opens the gate, Brittany nods her head as she walks onto the field and immediately jogs over to her little brother.
She crouches down in front of him gently knocking on his helmet and smiles lovingly. ''Talk to me Maze.''
Mason shrugs his shoulder unclasping his helmet and pouts. ''The cheering is too loud Britty, it's the last play.''
''I know buddy, but if anyone can make this amazing shot it's you.'' She tells him softly after the coach called the team except Mason over to drink something, she turns to him holding up her hand and catches the water bottle he throws in her direction.
She unscrews the cap and holds it out for Mason. ''Drink something.'' She tells him softly, she takes his helmet so he can drink and glances at the field. ''Do you remember the two throws you missed? How he threw the ball?''
''Not as hard as the balls before.'' Mason tells her after downing half of the bottle, Brittany nods her head and smiles.
''Yeah true but he also aimed it further away from you, change your stance a bit like Noah and I showed you and keep your focus on the ball.'' She points her finger at the bleachers behind her and sighs. ''The crowd will continue cheering, but try to tune them out.''
''I tried, but I can't.'' Mason whines with a pout.
''What song do you like at the moment?'' She chuckles as he tilts his head in confusion and raises an eyebrow. ''Just answer Maze.''
''Cruise.''
''Florida Georgia Line?'' She asks, she hums as he nods his head and smiles. ''As soon as you are standing there and the cheering gets too loud, sing the refrain in your head.''
''Will that help?'' He asks cutely.
''I am sure it will.'' She glances at the coach as she sees movement in the corner of her eye and nods her head as he taps his watch silently telling her it's time to get back to the game, she turns back to Mason and taps his nose. ''It's time, you can do this Champ.''
She stands back up after telling him to go back to his team and walks back to the gate, she stops halfway and turns on her heels. ''Hey Maze?!'' She smiles as he immediately turns his head to look at her and shrugs off her jacket showing everyone that she is wearing a jersey of Mason's team, she turns her back to him and looks over her shoulder shooting him a wink as he reads her back. She stumbles forward as he rushes forward to tackle her in a hug and laughs turning around to face him allowing everyone to read her shirt and ruffles his hair ignoring the coos coming from the crowd. ''You can do this sweetheart.'' She leans down and kisses his head. ''Go show them how it's done.''
Mason nods his head and looks up at her smiling brightly. ''Love you Britty.''
''Love you too Maze.'' She watches him run back to his team and walks to the fence. ''Can I stay here?'' She asks one of the empires before he can open it for her, she leans against it as soon as he nods his head and turns her head to look at the group winking at her girlfriend as she looks at her with an adoring grin.
She nods her head silently telling them to come over and turns back to the field as they all stand up to walk over.
''God that was adorable B, did you really personalize a jersey?''
Brittany hums keeping her eyes on the field as all players take their place again and watches her brother scuff his feet against the home base changing his stance like she told him, she leans back as she feels her girlfriend run her fingers over her back through the gate and smiles slightly. ''Yeah thought it would be a nice surprise for Maze and the look on his face was so worth it.''
She holds up her hand as she hears one of their friends clearing their throats probably ready to cheer and shakes her head. ''Don't cheer, the crowd is loud enough and it makes him nervous.''
''What did you tell him sweetcheeks?'' Holly asks curiously as she sees Mason getting ready to hit.
''That he has to sing the refrain of his favorite song in his head if it gets too loud, it will tune them out or make it less annoying.'' She watches her brother grinning as she sees the subtle movement in his hips knowing he is thinking of the song and watches the pitcher getting ready to throw the ball, she tilts her head as she sees him take the same position he did the last two times and smiles slightly. ''You got this Maze.'' She whispers softly to herself not noticing her girlfriend, Holly, Maribel and their friends all smile lovingly as soon as they hear it.
She holds her breath as the pitcher throws the ball watching it soar towards Mason and tightens her hands in a fist her eyes slipping closed right after she watched Mason swing.
Crack!
Her eyes shoot open at the unmistakable sound of the bat hitting the ball and smiles proudly as she sees it flying high and far. ''Go Maze!'' She yells as she sees him sprint to the first base.
''A mother fucking home run.'' Noah gasps out in amazement as they all watch the ball fly with speed, they all cheer as Mason sprints to the second base keeping an eye on the ball and yell for him to speed up and go home.
Brittany smiles brightly as she watches her little brother speed up almost overtaking his teammate and laughs as he drops down on his knees sliding towards the home base, she cheers loudly as soon as he touches it and lifts two fingers up to her lips to whistle loudly.
She laughs as he jumps up his white pants covered in sand dust and watches him sprint to his team cheering loudly, she smiles as his teams takes off sprinting in his direction and shakes her head as he turns on his heels sprinting away from them while the crowd goes crazy.
She laughs as he sprints over to her and leans down holding out her arms as soon as he nears her, she catches him as he jumps in her arms and raises him above her head. ''Nice hit Champ!'' She praises with a big smile, she lowers him a bit as he takes off his helmet and kisses his sweaty forehead. ''You did it Maze, so proud of you!''
''I did it!'' Mason cheers with a big bright smile, he wraps his little arms around Brittany's shoulders as soon as he lowers her and kisses her cheek still smiling. ''Thank you Britty, your advice really helped me!''
Brittany just smiles and ruffles his hair. ''That was all your doing Champ.'' She places him down and nods her head to his team. ''There are other people who want to celebrate with you, we will party at home later.''
She laughs holding him up as the other kids rush over the second she placed him down and smiles lovingly as they all cheer happily, she steps aside opening the gate as the coach nods his head telling her everyone can enter the field and immediately opens her arms for her girlfriend to walk into.
She wraps her arms around Santana the second she feels her slim arms wrap around her waist and watches her little brother jump around with his teammates cheering loudly while other parents fill the field ready to praise their children.
''Well he will sleep like a rock tonight.'' Santana murmurs with a soft laugh as she watches all the kids jump around all hyped up.
Brittany hums in agreement as Holly slowly walks over to Mason as the other parents also join their kids celebrating and kisses her forehead. ''He sure will, thank you for joining us today. Maze loved knowing everyone would join.''
''I wouldn't miss it for the world.'' Santana whispers softly as she cuddles into her. ''It's amazing to see him smile this brightly.''
Brittany just nods her head in agreement and kisses her head once again as she watches Mason jump in Holly's arms smiling as she hears him squeak about the game and thanking her for signing him up, she bites her lip as she sees the happy sparkle in his eyes and gulps thickly. ''He finally found one.'' She glances at Maribel as she walks over to Holly to congratulate Mason and smiles tearfully. ''No he found two adults who he can trust, I know it will be hard to leave him behind after graduation but knowing your mami and Holly are here for him makes it easier.''
She pinches the bridge of her nose to push back her tears and licks her lips. ''Thanks to you and your mami, he is definitely living on a high and enjoying life more than before.''
''Not only he is doing that B.'' Puck tells his best friend softly after the group just listened to her. ''You are too and the both of you deserve it.''
Brittany just hums tightening her hold on Santana and smiles as Holly and Maribel walk over with Mason, she watches the group immediately run over to Mason laughing as he squeaks the second Mike and Sam lift him up and looks down at Santana. ''I love you.'' She whispers softly.
Santana glances up as soon as the heartfelt whisper reaches her ears and smiles lovingly, she reaches up to cup her cheek and leans up on her tiptoes to kiss her softly. ''I love you too Britt-Britt.''
