Chapter 4
"Kawasaki's soup? I thought we were trying to help him feel better, not worse!" Tuff exclaimed.
"Relax, I made the soup from a recipe in a cookbook. I just borrowed some of Kawasaki's ingredients and his kitchen." Tiff replied. She was holding a sealed container. Since Meta Knight wasn't feeling well, she'd had the idea to bring him some soup. So she, Tuff, and Kirby went to Kawasaki's. She knocked on the door, figuring barging in when Meta Knight wasn't feeling well might disturb him, and Sword Knight answered.
"Hey, is Meta Knight here? We thought he might like some soup." Tiff held up the container. "Is he feeling any better?"
Sword let them in to visit Meta Knight. Meta Knight was in his room, lying in his bed, but sat up when he heard people approaching. Although he couldn't stop himself from coughing.
"Tiff?" Meta Knight asked. His eyes flashed with confusion for a second.
"Hey, Meta Knight. We just came by to drop off this soup and see if you were feeling any better." Tiff explained, and she handed him the soup container.
"Oh, thank you." Meta Knight replied, caught off guard. He took the container and held it in his lap. He determined he would eat it later, as it was hard to eat with his mask on.
Kirby peered over the side of the bed at him, "Poya?"
"You should go soon, or you might catch the cold too." Meta Knight warned.
"Hope you feel better soon, Meta Knight." Tiff said, heading to the door.
"Bye, Meta Knight. Come on, Kirby!" Tuff added.
Kirby looked at Meta Knight and said, "Poya Poya!" Before bouncing out of the room.
"They're good kids." Sword Knight said as soon as they left.
"Hm." Meta Knight agreed.
"Do you need anything?" Sword asked.
"No, I'm fine."
"Okay. Get some rest, sir." Sword told him as he closed the door.
Meta Knight looked down at the soup container in his hands. There was a spoon taped to the lid. As his headache got worse, he started to suspect that this wasn't just a cold, but he was tired now, so he would eat and then get some rest. He could go to the library and do some research in the morning.
