Capitolo II
"To- oh"
Once again Misa smoothed her skirt, the only gesture that allowed her to reveal her nervousness, Rem behind her kept repeating that it was a bad idea, that she not liked Light at all.
Misa did not listen to her just like since seven days apart and mirrored herself on the window of a car. For the occasion she had chosen a really dark outfit, without originality, how much she missed her ghotic lolita clothes!
Luckily she had added a colored headband that illuminated everything. Never underestimate accessories.
She read the To-oh signboard for the umpteenth time in front of the university and taking a deep breath before enter.
The ceremony at the beginning of the year was more boring than she expected, the only positive thing was the fact that no one recognized her, she had tied her hair in a severe high tail, the gold headband stood out decidedly and she had put on big nerd-cool glasses (but in spite of everything she was the cutest of the ceremony).
She chose the place farthest from the first row , a seat in a corner with no people who could annoy her, then she looked around and saw him: he was sitting a few places in front of her and as she had already ascertained from the photos, on his head neither appeared nor name or life span.
She rejoiced to herself for all her well-planned plan and also for the entrance exams to which she had voluntarily undergone, which she had passed, without even letting know to the newspapers.
But the greatest joy was when it was announced who would be to make the speech for the beginning of the academic year, which was held every spring by those who had obtained the maximum score. This time, however, there was not a single student, but two.
Suddenly two young people got up from two opposite chairs and Misa took a while to realize what she was seeing with her eyes.
Her idols were heading at the center of the stage, Light with his elegant and confident stride, L with his shoes unfastened and his usual panda gaze.
Misa tried not to jump out of her chair in surprise, and when the chairman announced their names: Light Yagami and Hideki Ryuga, she was the happiest girl in the world.
Only she could see the void above Light's head and the real name of her Eru: L Lawliett.
All this was completely unexpected, was L so sure of himself and of his intuitions that he exposed himself in the front row in front of the greatest murderer in the world?
If he did this, the suspicions about Light were certainly not unfounded, perhaps only the evidence was missing.
Or was it just a way to take a closer look at who he considered Kira and at the same time confuse the latter, after all, how could Light have discovered his name?
Did he already understand that he was L? However even if he sensed his identity he certainly could not find out his real name and write it on the death note.
He had set him up, that was for sure.
But she? What would she do now?
«That way your plans change completely, don't you Misa chan?»
A voice had reached her small ear as she stared, excited and confused at the same time, at the two boys.
«You know what? For once I agree with you Rem.» she whispered with still shining eyes.
«Thank goodness ...» Rem sighed looking at those two «Does that mean you won't get close to Light?»
«No, it means I'll stay away from him as long as we need to ...»
«What do you mean?»
Misa adjusted her earpiece better in order not to arouse suspicion.
«I mean that my aim is to get closer to L and if L only approaches those involved in the Light (the main suspect) affairs I will have to get closer to Light ...»
«Maybe L will remember that day ...»
«In that case, Misa brought a backpack full of strawberry candy, Rem ...» Misa whispered satisfied, pointing to the backpack on her lap.
«Yes, but remember that in this school Misa chan is called Megumi Kurenai ...» Rem warned seriously.
«I'll remember for sure ... do you know what's funny about this whole story?»
«What?» Rem asked curiously.

And here is the third chapter. Finally Misa has come into contact (even if only visually) with the two little geniuses, now it remains only to see how things will work out and if Misa will have to follow her own crazy plan or just rely on events.
