Chapter IV
"The notebook and the limousine"
To get to Light's house she had got rid of her manager and bodyguards (who constantly followed her after the death of her parents) and she had taken the train, for an afternoon she had felt like a normal university student.
For the occasion she had untied her hair and she had put the glasses on, she had put on a simple checkered miniskirt and a normal V-neck sweater and the boots that were fashionable among girls of that age ... two years younger than her.
Once she arrived in front of Yagami's house, a strange anxiety had made its way into her.
«What are you thinking about Misa? Are you regretting your decision?» Rem asked behind her.
«NO! Absolutely!» she replied out of spite.
«Then ring the bell if you're so sure ...» the shinigami continued smiling.
Misa looked at her angrily and went to the bell, after making sure that Yagami was written on it, she pressed the button with her black lacquered fingernail.
After a while the front door opened and Kira cames out.
«Please Megumi chan come in!» Misa looked at him smiling and went to the door.
«As I suspected ... the house is covered with cameras!» said the shinigami looking around.
«Oh that's great!» Misa replied, already thinking of L who was spying on everything.
«Do you like my house? I find it a bit silly ...» Light said behind her.
«You say? I find it welcoming!» Misa replied with shining eyes,
Rem rolled her eyes resignedly.
«How about we go to my room?» Light asked, turning to her.
«I say it's fine.» answered Misa beaming.
«Hey Light! This is the girl you were talking about?» a brunette girl with a packet of chips in her hand entered the room, Light seemed annoyed for a moment but he hide his mood immediately, surely the little sister was referring to when he had come home late (when he had to deal with the death note) and as an excuse he said he had a girlfriend.
«Yes! It's her!» he declared satisfied.
«OHH what a beauty!» cried the little sister excitedly.
«What is this noise?» a 50-year-old lady entered the room.
«Um sorry, mom, this is my classmate Megumi Kurenai.»
«Hajimemashite Ms. Yagami.» Misa said with a small bow.
«Oh, what a nice and kind girl, it's a pleasure! Light, may I do you two some tea?»
«That's great, mom.» he replied with his usual nice guy's smile.
«Ok then I'll leave you, come with me Sayu, so you can help me ...» the mother replied dragging the little girl away.
«ugh okay mum, just a moment! I wanted to talk a bit more with Megumi chan ...»
«Excuse me for those meddlers.» Light said closing the door behind him.
«Oh don't worry, they're so kind.» the fake Megumi answered laughing.
«Er ... ok, how about if we do some homework?»
«Of course…»
«Misa in the room there are about 31 hidden cameras, and Light Yagami certainly scheduled all the deaths in the death note so when he is with you he doesn't have to do anything, while out there criminals die... he is really smart ...I wouldn't trust him at all.»
«omg you're a genius!» Misa twitted as she looked at all the cups on the shelf.

«Then I'll see you at university tomorrow morning.» Light told her in front of the front door, they had studied all the evening and it was now 11:00 p.m.
«Yes ... see you tomorrow.»
«I was wondering Megumi... but would you ever want to meet up each other again?» he asked leaning against the wall.
«Am I so a disaster in law business?» Misa asked with a chuckle.
«Um, actually I wasn't talking about homework or university, I mean the two of us, alone. Like a date.»

Rem gestured relentlessly.

Misa chewed her lip, looking uncertainly at the shinigami.

Light added, noticing her embarrassment.

Rem begged her again, her eyes frowning.
Misa looked at the death's God for a moment, but then nodded vigorously.
«Of course I would like it! You caught me off guard! It's all...» she smiled at him ignoring Rem's glances.
«Perfect! So let's go out on Saturday together, what do you say?»
«It's perfect!»
«Ok!»
«Hey Light! It's late it's almost half past 23:00 p.m! You're not going to take Megumi home?»
Kira's mother peeked through the front door, Light looked at her mother then at Misa and was about to speak but Misa anticipated him.
«Um, don't worry, Mrs. Yagami, I don't live very far at all, and I wouldn't want to disturb ...»
«Are you sure?» asked Sachiko.
«Sure! don't worry and thanks for everything! See you tomorrow Light!»
«See you tomorrow Megumi.» he smiled at her.
Misa turned to greet them with her hand and headed towards the dark.
«Fortunately today is not the day of your death, and I don't think that idiot will risk everything killing you.»
Rem muttered by her side.
«Oh Rem can you shut up for a moment? Remember that this is only to get closer to L.»
«Oh if that's so I'm feeling much better, thanks Misa.»
The goddess replied by accelerating the flapping of her wings, Misa sighed, but after three steps she felt a sudden brake on her side, she turned suddenly and what she saw left her stunned.
A black limousine had stopped on the side of the road and the rear door had opened.
«Get on board Misa chan.» whom was inside spoke.
Misa was shocked for about 5 seconds but then recovered and went over to the car.
«Then?»
L's head had popped out of the door, of course he was in his usual squatting position. Misa did not reply, she only managed to nod her head slightly before entering the luxury car.
She knew that sooner or later she would meet him ... but not like that!

Here we are with the fourth chapter! Finally I managed to update.
However Misa managed to enter Kira's house naturally against the wishes of the poor Rem, unlike the original I decided to keep the cameras at Light's house (in the manga when L enrolls in university the cameras have already been removed) sorry but it was a necessary change ^^
All of this certainly contributed to getting Misa near L ... how you still don't know but I hope to make you understand it soon...so hold on my few dear readers ^^
