Yanina and Cana have been living in a two bedroom apartment near the guild.
They had gotten a steal for the apartment at 100,000 jewel. 50,000 jewel split between the two sounded just about perfect. Surprisingly she was a good roommate. Yanina knew that she slept around, though she was good about kicking the guys out before Yanina could see them. Though Yanina could have sworn she saw a green haired male leave the apartment the other night and wondered when Freed and Cana had gotten so close.
Though the plant mage decided to store that information for later. After all, she needed some sort of teasing material to use on the card mage. And that was perfect blackmail.
Now she was sitting at the guild with Team Natsu plus Lisanna. Lisanna was a sweet girl, much like her sister. Yanina knew that she and Natsu had been close at one time, though the bond seemed to be severed since she was at Edolas for some time. Even though Yanina had no clue what Edolas even was, she did know everyone had thought Lisanna was dead. Which was a sad thing to think about.
"So Nina, how's living with Cana?" A deep voice asked, making her turn towards it. Gray had his chin in the palm of his hand as he raised an inquisitive eyebrow.
Now everyone was looking at her in curiosity. "Yeah I miss you at the apartment," Lucy admitted sheepishly. "It was nice having company." One thing that Yanina learned was she hated being alone. Which she didn't blame the blond, her upbringing wasn't the most favorable thing in the world.
"Its been nice actually. Cana is a good roommate," she won't say that she knows Cana brings guys to the apartment. It didn't really distrupt anything though once it did they'd have to have a talk.
Gray did raise an eyebrow at that but didn't make a comment. He's known Cana for most of his life, he knew how she was. Instead Yanina watched Gray lean back and place his arm around Lucy's chair, causing the blond to blush but she didn't make him move. That made Yanina raise an eyebrow but she didn't comment on it. She knew Team Natsu were close, but perhaps Gray and Lucy were a different kind of close.
"So Nina, how are you enjoying it here so far?" Lisanna's sweet voice asked with her innocent blue eyes.
"Duh Lisanna, she obviously loves it here!" Natsu grinned, showing off his fanged teeth.
"Aye sir!" Happy echoed with a fish in his mouth. Yanina chuckled at the scene , shaking her head.
"Before my answer got answered for me," Yanina gave Natsu a teasing look, "I like it here. Its been different from my traveling days but I like knowing I have a place to go to when I need it." That was always her fear as a traveling mage. Not knowing where she was going to stay or have a roof over her head for the night.
Lisanna nodded her head. "Yeah, I can see what you mean. Fairy Tail has always been my home," she sighed blissfully, memories probably flashing through her head. Yanina smiled softly at the girl.
"Have you always been here?" Yanina questioned as she glanced over to Natsu.
"Fairy Tail found me," was his answer as he shrugged. "Before this I was raised by Igneel."
"Igneel's a dragon!" Happy added brightly, though Natsu got strangely quiet after that. Yanina frowned, feeling an odd sensation bubbling in her chest.
"You were raised by a dragon?" Yanina decided to ask instead, shaking her head from the thoughts.
"Uh-huh!" Happy chirped while still nibbling on his fish.
Natsu just shrugged, beaming at her. "It's how I learned my Fire Dragon Slaying magic!" His old personality was back, the one that Yanina was growing accustomed to. But she had to wonder if there was a deeper side of Natsu that no one else has noticed. Sure, he put on a big show of being a dense, useless idiot who only thought about fighting. However, was he more than just that? Deep inside Yanina knew that he loved making others happy. You can't help but feel giddy while hanging out with the Slayer.
Though something told her that he kept a lot hidden underneath all of the fire.
AN: Okay so yeah, this chapter is kind of short. I apologize guys, but I thought that this was the perfect ending for the chapter. I had some things planned, and there was going to be some confrontation and character meetage but we'll be meeting a new character next chapter and that is where the main plot for this story begins! Remember that girl from the job the girls took? Yeah, she is also important, so keep an eye on her as well. She'll drive the plot forward a little bit. 3
