Chapter 1: Testing the Waters
AN: This story picks up after Jackson & Rocki's first kiss in Fast Times at Bayview High (S3 Ep 12) but events will change to suit the story from then on while acknowledging other series canon events. Despite listing OC under characters all of the characters (save 1) in this story are Cannon, however, not all of the characters were properly named so I had to get creative in that respect.
Jackson Fuller was literally on cloud 9 as he walks out of the Bayview High cafeteria. The girl he has been crushing on, Roxanne "Rocki" Mahan not only just saved his high school reputation but she just kissed him in front of the student body in the cafeteria to do so. The girls at Sienna Logan's table were all members of the Bayview High dance team (but not all of the team). Sienna, Trinity DaCosta, Chelsey Kirkland, and Casey Richards were the girls circling Jackson prior, during, and after the kiss. As he made his way out of the cafeteria he passed Coco Davis and Tori Harmon who were also on the team.
As he made his way out he noticed quite a few of the girls from the various grades looking at him but he just played it cool and ignored them while trying to take note of the girls who were watching him. Jackson could hear his friend Mankowski's footsteps behind him as the overweight freshman pleaded with Jackson to show him the kiss again, not realizing what he was truly asking Jackson to do.
"Mankowski, I'm not going to show you," An agitated Jackson tells his friend. "You're best bet is to find a girl who likes you and test the waters yourself." As he and his friend didn't share their next class the pair parted ways and went about the rest of their school day.
The school bell rings and Jackson exits his history class and makes his way to his locker to deposit his backpack as Jackson's last class of the day was P.E. which meant he didn't need anything for his last class as they were in his gym locker. Once gym was over he would just come back for his things. Upon opening his locker, Jackson was surprised to find a note waiting for him on the top shelf as someone had slid it in thru the vents. Putting his backpack on the hook, Jackson takes the paper and unfolds it, and reads the message written in unfamiliar handwriting.
FLF,
Please meet me at the home team's
bleachers on the football field after
school today.
- C.R. –
To say Jackson was stupified would be an understatement. The initials C.R. Could be just about anyone in the school so he didn't even try and figure out who that might be at this time. Plus he only had about a minute to hike from his locker to the boy's locker room so time was precious. Folding the note up he puts it in his back pocket and shuts his locker and darts down the hall for the locker room. On his way, Jackson's face broke out into a giant grin. First, he kissed Rocki, now he apparently had a secret admirer. Could life get much better? He briefly thought.
As Jackson pushed his way through the locker room he heard the bell signaling the start of class. Making his way to his gym locker he quickly undoes his padlock and pulls out his P.E. Uniform to change into. While P.E. was normally one of his favorite classes today he was so anxious to find out C.R's identity he couldn't wait for it to be over so that he could meet the elusive admirer.
~ 3:00 PM ~
Jackson was walking through the spectator's entrance for the home team fans when his watch beeped on the hour. The school has been out for fifteen minutes but Jackson didn't know how long it would take whoever was meeting him to get here. Jackson, having just had P.E. was right next to the football field so he collected his backpack, ran to the field, and has been lurking about the entrance for the last ten minutes. As no one had come in since he arrived (and he had checked the field was clear before waiting). Jackson decided to go sit in the stands on the off chance someone was messing with him. The stands, much like the field, were currently empty as the Varsity team was in the weight room today while the JV and Freshman teams were on the other fields. As a kicker, Jackson's practice days were considerably less than the rest of the team.
Jackson heard rapid footsteps from the spectator entrance hall and the nervous young man took a deep breath and let it out calmly to maintain his cool persona. Jackson watched as Casey Richards, a bit flush and out of breath, hunched over in front of him when she stopped to catch her breath once she had cleared the entranceway. Jackson, being a gentleman, slides his backpack off and removes his water bottle from its inside pocket. Unscrewing the cap, he hands the bottle to Casey who readily accepts it and drinks two-thirds of the one-liter bottle.
"Thank... you..." Casey says almost wheezing as she did. "I... had... to run from... the gym. I... completely forgot... that I had dance... team today."
"So... not that I'm not pleased to see you Casey, but if you have dance team, how are you here?" Jackson asks.
"I told them I had a last-minute doctor appointment to deal with... girl problems," Casey stated.
"I'm guessing you actually told them your fabricated problems?" Jackson asks.
"Yes. Just saying girl problems only works on guys." Casey informs Jackson. Seeing she is still a bit winded from her run Jackson takes her hand and leads her up into the stand so she can rest her feet and relax as she catches her breath. When Casey is once again breathing normal and relaxed Jackson runs his thumb over her hand. It was lost on the two that Jackson never released his hold on her right hand and Casey blushes at the gesture.
"So... obviously I got your note," Jackson says playing it cool.
"I see that. Thank you for meeting me." Casey says. Jackson sees that her face was still flush, implying she was not just flush from running, but she was embarrassed.
Casey could feel the heat radiating from her cheeks and knew that Jackson could clearly see her blush. This is all very new to her. She has gone on a few dates at this point in time but she was always the one asked, she has never done the asking.
"Well, I would be lying if I didn't say I haven't gotten very many invites like this from secret admirers. So, my curious nature got the better of me and I came to find out who C. R. was." Jackson tells Casey. Having ingested more water and because of Jackson's calm demeanor, Casey's complexion is returning to normal. Casey hands Jackson back his water bottle and he screws the cap back on. Jackson puts it down between them in case she needs another drink.
"To be honest... I was hoping you wouldn't mind..." Casey pauses. She knows what she is about to say sounds ludicrous. Heck, it sounds ludicrous in her head and she is moments away from saying it. "I was hoping... I could... maybe, find out for myself... if the rumors about you were true..." Casey nervously says.
Jackson somehow manages to maintain a poker face but he swears that he did not hear what the lovely girl in front of him just stated. "Run that by me again?" Jackson asks looking Casey squarely in her dark brown eyes.
Jackson's blue eyes never leave the young woman's face. She has a pale complexion which is highlighted by her blondish brown hair. Based on the look that he took just before she sat down Jackson would guess that Casey is taller than Rocki but not by much.
"Are... are you... dating Rocki?"
"No... no, we're not dating." Jackson answers honestly. While Jackson likes the unique girl that was the first time she showed general affection of any kind for him. The two have spent quite a bit of time together during the summer because of summer school and they seem to like one another but other than Rocki helping him out today and kissing him in front of everyone Jackson doesn't think there is anything more to it. After all, the girl has a habit of beating his right shoulder quite often.
"Good..." Casey says a little too enthusiastically. Casey's pale cheeks go red. She takes in a breath of air and finding her courage says, "Well, with that out of the way, I was hoping to find out for myself if the rumors about your kissing skills were true."
"I see," Jackson says keeping a straight face. Inside he is excited and determined to practice his kissing skills on this eager and lovely young woman.
"Well... would you mind?" Casey asks. Her nerves are on end but she too is managing to hide her true emotional state.
"That depends..." Jackson says looking at Casey intently. His inner voice is screaming for him to do it but that nagging voice of reason seems to be winning out.
"Depends on what exactly?" Casey asks very curiously.
"Do you really want to know or are you setting me up as some kind of prank?" Jackson asks. Just because they appear to be alone and everything is quiet doesn't mean that her teammates aren't hiding someplace waiting to spring out and ruin this moment.
"I promise you, no one is around and this is just between you and I. Honestly, I would appreciate it if you kept this between us as I think Sienna is already angry that Rocki got to kiss you first and she didn't," Casey informs Jackson.
"Sienna's loss I suppose. She didn't have to take Rocki's word for it." Jackson states for the record.
"No, no she didn't." Casey agrees. "I was always the kind of person unless it was something already proven to be dangerous to find out for myself." Casey throws caution to the wind and leans in toward Jackson. As her eyes begin to close Jackson moves in, tilts his head and the two meet in a soft closed-mouth kiss. Jackson starts out slow and the two kiss like this until air becomes a necessity. The two slowly part and Casey, eyes still closed, rests her forehead against Jackson's.
"W... WOW!" Casey says enthusiastically.
On the few dates that she went on Casey spent most of her time trying to keep her date's hands off her 32C breasts. Given, most of these dates were with older guys so they probably thought that she would put out to lay claim to them. They were all wrong. None of them showed her a tenth of the amount of affection that Jackson just did. Jackson had let go of Casey's hand when they started kissing but the young woman immediately felt Jackson's hands land on her hips and stayed there the entire duration of their kiss.
"Wow indeed," Jackson replies. Two kisses from two girls on the same day. What did I do to deserve this? Jackson wonders to himself.
"Tha... uhhh, that was... nice," Casey says finally opening her eyes to look at Jackson's face. His eyes greet hers as does his smile.
"That was very nice," Jackson replies with more certainty than Casey was projecting. Jackson's kiss had definitely weakened the girl's knees. It was a good thing she was sitting down.
Casey grins as a wicked notion pops into her head. "I have to say though... I'm not sure if you've lived up to your reputation. I think I need to... double-check my findings... just to verify my findings of course."
"Of course... you have to be sure. You can't have any doubt after all." Jackson says playfully.
"No... no doubts at all." Casey replies.
Jackson and Casey lean in for another kiss. Jackson's hands are still on his partner's hips and Casey's are on Jackson's. Deciding to go a bit further Casey dares to part her lips this time and her tongue touches Jackson's lips. Jackson's tongue moves forward and touches Casey's. Soon the two are French kissing and their tongues are soon inner twinned. Casey quickly becomes caught up in the moment with Jackson. She has gotten better at breathing through her nose while kissing so lack of oxygen is not as much a problem.
Casey's arms come around Jackson's neck as their kisses go up a notch in intensity and passion. Deep down Casey is very pleased with Jackson being a total gentleman while they are making out. Jackson's hands have remained on her hips the entire time, never once wandering to her chest, ass or crotch. She is surprised that they haven't even moved towards her legs or thighs as those would technically be safe zones as far as most girls are concerned.
The two loose track of time but are brought back to reality when they hear the sound of people coming this way. Casey breaks the kiss and releases her hold on Jackson's neck. Casey runs her hands through her hair and unruffled her clothes. Jackson stands and helps Casey down the steps and the two make their way off the field and to the exit heading to the bus stop.
Jackson and Casey are sitting in the back of the bus as they head towards their homes. While Casey will be getting off first Jackson is willing to walk the extended distance as he will be spending time getting to know Casey better. Kissing is great, and Jackson thoroughly enjoys kissing Casey but as they waited for the bus they made small talk and got to know one another better. Using her love of dance as a start Jackson learned that Casey is huge into fitness and health. She wants to be a professional dancer and develop her own brand of apparel and shoes.
Jackson told her that while he likes football he's not sure if he sees it as his future. He likes computers and knows that he has a gift for technology that he keeps secret from his family. Jackson tells Casey that his younger brother Max always outshines him so until recently he hasn't done anything noteworthy or even tried because of this. Football was the first thing that he has excelled at that his brother never had a chance to one-up him on.
"It must be hard living with that kind of pressure," Casey says.
"It was... but I know now that there are things that I can do that he will never be good at. So I've learned to accept my faults and focus more on my strengths," Jackson explained.
"Wow, that's pretty deep," Casey encouragingly tells him.
"Thanks."
The teens step onto the bus, Casey first showing the bus driver her pass with Jackson right behind her showing the driver his bus pass. The pair walk down the path, Jackson's hand on her hip as they make their way to the very back of the bus. Jackson took note of the few people on the bus already and he made eye contact with an older gentleman and the woman Jackson believed was his special lady. Jackson watched the man smile and pat the woman's hand and Jackson saw her wedding ring. Jackson nodded at the gentleman, acknowledging the special bond the two obviously have and his respect for having such a long and loving relationship.
The two teens enjoyed the ride and watched as the few passengers disembarked over the course of three stops. Jackson and Casey watched as the cute elderly couple was the last to disembark before them. The couple walked to the back exit and the husband helped his wife down the steps until she was on the concrete sidewalk. The gentleman gave Jackson a glance that said good luck and then he went to join his wife.
"What was that about?" Casey asks noticing the looks between the two men.
"Just a what could be Casey... you never know," Jackson replies.
Once the bus is in motion again, Jackson leans against the bus frame and pulls Casey closer to him. As no one else is on the bus, nor is anyone they know likely to get on before they get off the bus, Casey snuggles up to Jackson, and knowing that they are alone she kisses Jackson's cheek. Jackson smiles and turns into her kiss and the two begin romantically tongue wrestling. This time Jackson breaks the kiss and kisses Casey's cheek, then moves to her left ear and nibbles on it (earning him a giggle), until his lips land on the nape of the left side of her neck.
Casey purrs her approval as Jackson's lips and tongue dance down her neck until they latch onto her pulse point. Casey moans, her breath getting ragged and she feels her whole body go flush. Jackson stops long enough to check their whereabouts and sees they are quickly coming up on Casey's stop. Jackson kisses her neck one last time before he reluctantly pulls away from Casey so that he can pull the cord to signal the bus driver to stop. The couple holds hands as the bus begins to decelerate and then comes to a full stop. Once the bus was stopped the back doors opened and Casey and Jackson stand and make their way off the bus. Knowing no one that knows them is around the two hold hands as they make their way to Casey's home. Jackson walks the dark-haired blonde to her front door and gives her one last kiss. It isn't as deep or passionate as the previous two, but very similar to their first, which is fine with Casey.
"So, where do we go from here?" Jackson asks wanting to know what's on Casey's mind.
"I like you Jackson... a lot. But..."
"Sienna," Jackson says reluctantly.
"She's my friend... and until she says she has no interest in you I can't, in good conscience, date you," Casey says.
"I understand and respect your feelings and your loyalty to Sienna," Jackson tells the pretty dancer.
"BUT..." Casey says not letting go of Jackson's hand as he starts to leave. "We can still see each other and... make sure you live up to your reputation."
"Yeah... it could be bad if my skills waned and I couldn't live up to my reputation." Jackson playfully states.
"I'll see you at school tomorrow," Casey tells the star kicker.
Casey unlocks her front door and waving goodbye, closes the door. Casey watches Jackson walk backward to the sidewalk before he makes his way home. Only when Jackson is out of view does she lean against her front door and let out a giant sigh.
"Have Mercy..." Casey says feeling hot for the football player as her heart pounded for the young man that had treated her like a lady while making her heart flutter and her body hot. Casey needed to get to her room and change as her panties were soaked.
