Hold for Therappi
Author's Note: Inspired by a scene from The Dawn of the Witch anime, in which Luke's seiyuu voices the lizardman Kudd. Enjoy the story and R&R.
Disclaimer: I do not own anything related to or of the Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS series.
Pairing: Pre-slash Luke x Guruguru.
Summary:
Luke's got a busted lip that needs healing.
"Luke-kun, what is that injury?" Gakuto asked.
Luke answered, but Gakuto couldn't understand him. He sported a busted lip with a ball of tissue over his mouth.
"I think Luke-san said, 'I was running away from Oneechan and fell on my face,' guru," Guruguru interpreted.
"You got all that, Guruguru-kun?"
"Mm. Somehow, guru."
"Maybe put some ice on it, Luke? You're only going to get pieces of tissue dried in with the cut!" Romin advised and criticized in two beats.
"A kiss would speed up the healing process," Mimi offered her take, but cringed a second after realizing how BANANAS that sounded coming from a woman her age. Selective, sure, if you dissected her fanaticism toward Kirishima Roa.
"A kiss?" Yuga echoed, and Luke mumbled the same.
Too late to contradict herself now.
"Yes. Haven't you heard the phrase, 'Kiss it all better'? Whenever Yoshio-chan has an accident, I clean and bandage the area, give it a kiss, and he's right as rain in no time!"
"Right as rain? What's that mean?"
"Healthy again."
"And that works?" Romin ooed at the thirty-seven-year-old Atachi-san's wisdom.
Gakuto set his chin on his knuckles. "I did read in a science paper that cuts in the mouth heal faster than anywhere else due to a combination of factors including increased blood flow and the properties of saliva."
Everybody except Luke and Mimi stared at Romin.
So Yuga and Gakuto.
Where had Guruguru gone?
"Forget it! My lips aren't going near Luke's! Why not Yuga's?"
"Eh? Mine?"
"Preposterous! Yuga-kun and Luke-kun are best friends!"
Perhaps Romin wouldn't use that terminology. But Gakuto…Romin and Luke weren't best friends?
"Eh? I'm okay with it, though." Yuga pulled a Yuga and surprised them.
"Yuga-kun!"
"Yuga!"
"Guruguru-kun handled it." Mimi pointed.
"Huh?"
The shy kid in the chameleon costume had returned from the nurse's office. Luke ducked down, an invisible, waterproof bandage sealing his wound and the tail of Guruguru's outfit curled into a heart.
"Guru…"
"Thank you, Guruguru!" Luke expressed coherently.
