Mao was a lonely goddess. Mao was the goddess of the moon. He was lonely until he met Satin. He was bright like the sun, he was warm like the sun. He made Mao feel...happy, content. Mao was the complete opposite of Satin. He was cold like the moon, dark like the moon.

He made others feel sad. He didn't make people happy as Satin did. Oh, but how that changed in a matter of hours.

There was a petite girl sitting in nothing but darkness as the sky sparkled with stars. He was lonely. He wanted someone to be with him. He wanted to feel the joy humans felt. But instead, he sat there, in the same spot, his hands covered with his sleeves, they were dark and shiny like the sky. His robe trailing after his small figure as he moved from time to time. His hair was long, too long, it reached his knees right about now.

He was doing the same as he did any other day, he sat there. Until a bright beam of light appeared in front of him. Moon brought a hand up to cover his eyes and looked away, grunting from the brightness. A teen appeared in front of him. He wore bright robes that made him look away. "Um.. hey, you're the moon goddess right?" He asked.

Moon removed his hand from his eyes and looked at the teen, squinting because he was so bright. The teen seemed to notice the problem and his brightness went down but was still there. Moon turned to the teen. "You're correct," He said. "But why? Have I been doing my duties wrong?" He asked tilting his head to the side.

The teen shook his head. "No, we're having a ball in your honor. They said you've been doing your job greater than any other God or goddess in charge of the moon has done." Moon hummed, sensing that wasn't all the teen wanted to tell him. "A-and I was wondering if you wanted to dance with me." The request made Moon gasp softly. "But, why would you waste your time doing that?"

Moon asked not seeing the pure intent of the teen's request. The teen chuckled. "I'm not wasting my time actually, the others told me not to ask you, but I want to." He said. Moon felt strange, he felt fuzzy in his chest, he felt warmth in his cheeks. Moon looked down and stood up, still being much smaller than him. He took a couple steps toward the Sun god.

"I... I accept." The teen smiled. "Oh, my name is Sun, it's nice to meet you, Moon," He said grabbing one of Moon's hands and stepping back. Moon brought his other hand to Sun's shoulder as he buried his face in Sun's warm robes. Satin smiled as they danced together, enjoying each other's company. Sun could feel the Moon god's sadness fade away, little by little.

Soon the night ended and the Moon-god, stepped away. "Sorry, you must get going now, it's about time you go, my time here is done," He said turning around and getting ready to walk into the dark abyss. Satin grabbed his hand blushing a little. "Wait, before you go, I want to give you something, something for you to keep." Mao turned around and looked up at Satin. Satin smiled softly at him leaned down, gently kissing the Moon-god.

Moon felt his face explode with blush. Satin pulled away his hand cupping Mao's cold cheek. "I know this sounds silly but, I fell in love with you. Please, keep my love alive for as long as we see each other." Moon tried to speak but couldn't find any words, so he hugged him. "I...I think I feel the same.. I've never felt this way before..."

He mumbled. Satin smiled at him and let go. "I'll see you tonight? Same time?" He asked. Moon nodded and pulled away. "I hope to see you again, Sun."

He said, as he turned around and walked into the abyss.

I loved this one tbh-
