Taking in the expressions of each of them, he sighed lightly, "Now that I have that out of the way, I feel I should state some of my personal rules that will apply here."

Seeing of them tense up made him give a ghost of a smile, 'This is going to be fun.' "Now, the first rule should be obvious, I won't tolerate disrespect, regardless of who it's being directed to. Second-!"

The door that led outside was broken off it's hinges, an unconscious Ben laying on it. A familiar Bronzor spun once in place, let out a "Zor~", before it proceeded spin away to who knows where.

Melas facepalmed, muttering, "Real subtle, Bronzor. That's another door I have to pay to fix." Regaining his focus, he called, "Nice to have you with us, Ben. Are you in any sort of state to proceed with today?"

Ben whined, coming back to consciousness, "If I say no, can I-"

"No. Get up. You talking right then and there is a mistake if you want to shirk your work."

Clearing his throat, as Ben moved to stand by his wheel chair. "As I was saying, the second rule, will be tardiness. I am fine as long as you earlier an this one, and considering it's the first week, I understand. However, if your tardy for too many times without a valid reason, there are consequences."

Ben perked, but was shot down, "Your exempted, you hardly, if ever, have a real excuse." Ben finally sunk downward, a thunder cloud over him.

Everyone (sans Melas) stared in perplexity. Melas continued like it wasn't happening, "Third rule, you will be expected to complete assignments when they are given, personal or group."

Melas stared at each of them, taking in their expressions, he finalized, "Fourth, if you want to go somewhere, you must either be permitted or accompanied by a teacher, I.e. me and Ben, or an eventual assistant, if any appear."

While he did note a few disappointed looks, he continued, "The fifth is more a maturity rule, none of you are allowed to acquire any new Pokémon..." he noted some seemingly about to object, quick putting, "However... if you wish to catch a Pokémon, it must for an assignment, or you must be permitted by academy staff to catch a Pokémon."

Seeing the few of the wind down, he internally sighed, 'Thank goodness, now let's see how this last rule will bode.' "The final rule is very temporary, at least until it's been long enough in my eyes. No partaking in official league matches or performances until further notice."

"Are there any questions? And remember, I will not tolerate descension in this academy." after a few moments of seeming tension, he finally decided, "Alright, then, all of you outside. Except for you, Sarah, was it?"

While confusion seemed evident, the nine student filed out.

After knowing they were gone, Melas cleared his throat. "SJ, one of the few cases I have taken upon myself to assist. I must say, when I talked to your brother, he told me your issue..."

Seeing her panic, he eased, "Ease yourself, child. There really is no problems about... you just need a nudge in this situation... Ben, bring them in."

"You sure? You said they were very difficult in the way you got them...?"

Melas nodded, "I'm quite sure. It may not be the same as to what Samuel or Augustine do, but, it matters not."

Ben nodded, leaving through the door Melas came from.

The Professor asked, "So, for your first assignment, it will be to take your first steps as a legitimate Pokémon Trainer."

Ben returned, carrying three Pokéballs, though instead of regular variant That Sarah had seen Davey wield, these ones were different. Handing them over, Melas accepted, "Thank you, Ben. Now, I want you and your lazing menagerie to go and tell the other students their assignment."

Ben tilted his head to the to-be-trainer, "What about...?"

Melas waved his hand, "They will be fine, they don't share the same experience as the others." Shooing the younger professor away.

After Ben left, Melas clarified, "All trainers are said to start their journey when they leave home..."

He glanced away, nostalgia evident, "However, I don't share that sentiment... A trainer starts when they have a Pokémon to call their own. Now, your journey begins, officially, SJ."

Sarah paused, as Melas gave a look that said, 'No one will know.' Sarah asked/blurted, "Why are you calling me 'SJ'?"

Pausing, Melas answered, "It fit more than either or your names, doesn't it, a nickname that I believe fits more... don't you?"

She pondered, as he held up what resembled a Pokéball, only, instead of red, it was green, orange markings engraved on the green side. "The first of my Starter Pokémon - Riolu." As the ball went flying, a little, blue, jackal-like Pokémon with a yellow fur around it's neck. It had droopy ear that seem connected to fur that resembled a mask over it's eyes. The Riolu let loose a war cry, stretch it's muscle, before punching the air in front it, as blast of energy ruptured through the air, causing the farthest wall to buckle.

Melas chuckled, before snapping his fingers, catching the canine's attention. Riolu immediately kneeled before Melas, like a student to a teacher. Melas rolled his wrist, causing Riolu to move next to him, standing proudly, like a guardian.

Taking the next ball, a entirely pink ball, with the top of it being a darker spot than normal, and the bottom being purple. Tossing it released a little larval Pokémon, it's body being mostly orange in color. It released a chortle, slowly scuttling around, tilting it's head, it noticed Melas. Approaching him, Melas held out a singular Haban Berry.

With a swift move, Melas brought his hand back, as the Haban Berry was consumed in a single chomp. Trapinch gnashed it's teeth on the berry, before swallowing the berry fully, juices sliding down it's mouth. Melas snapped his fingers, pointing at one of the metal beams supporting the building, as Trapinch stared at it with a quizzical look(?). Trapinch, the, proceeded to blurred out of existence, much to Sarah shock, before it reappeared in front of the beam, ramming it's head into the beam Melas pointed at.

CRACK!

The beam fractured severely, as Trapinch landed safely, before purring(?) happily, all while scuttling to Melas.

Revealing the last Pokéball, an entirely dark green with six lighter green circle spots on the various parts, in addition to the red rim in the center instead of a gray one. Releasing the last one, the energy formed in front of Riolu, forming into... another Riolu!

Riolu gave a shocked response, it's other mimicking, releasing a mischievous giggle. Riolu tensed, confused, and preparing to use Vacuum Wave. 'Riolu' gave a very dark smirk, their eyes glowing blue, before Riolu was hit with an attack of some kind, throwing him back.

The 'Riolu' laughed with mischief, as Melas warned, "Zorua." The canine looked to the former champion with a bashful look, before jumping, flipping backward, a purple sheen overtaking it. The glowed faded, as a black and red, fox Pokémon landed with a mischievous giggle.

Sarah stared in shocked fascination, "W-wow..."

Melas chuckled, "Wow, indeed, now then. You have a choice: the Emanation Pokémon; Riolu, the Ant Pit Pokémon; Trapinch, or the Tricky Fox Pokémon; Zorua. Take your time."

Sarah stared between the three of them, they were all so cool, yet pretty intimidating. She couldn't choose just one.

AN: I realized recently that I would be stretching it if I didn't split it. The second half will be coming... soon? Just gotta figure out which characters would interact with which...
