Chapter 11

Once Gabriel and Nathalie were handcuffed and locked up in Roger's car, Ladybug, who, along with most of Paris, had forgotten about the Star Darlings' involvement in the events that week, took off with the Butterfly and Peacock Miraculous. As she ran and jumped across the rooftops, she felt disappointed that Mr. Agreste, who had been her favourite fashion designer, turned out to be her sworn enemy. As for Cat Noir…well, let's just say he felt a lot more betrayed than his partner would ever know. On the bright side, Ladybug was glad that Paris was finally safe from supervillains forever. She couldn't wait to give the two long-lost Miraculouses to the Guardian of the Miracle Box.

Sage, who had automatically turned into her Wishling form while erasing everyone's memories, watched as Roger slammed his car's back door closed. He went to the front side of the vehicle and was about to open the door to the driver's seat, when he heard a pair of footsteps skipping toward him. Roger turned around and was delighted to see his daughter there—or at least, he thought it was his daughter.

"Hey Daddy," said Vega, a little nervously.

"What are you doing out here so late?" Roger asked, "And where are your glasses and your headband?"

"I left them at home. I heard Gabriel Agreste was going to be arrested, and I didn't want to miss it."

"You're so loyal to this city, Sabrina," Roger said with a chuckle, "One of these days I think you'd make a great police officer."

"Oh, I'm not sure I'm cut out for that," sighed Vega. She held up her hand, doing her best to keep her excitement inside of her. "I was in a hurry to get here, and I wasn't watching where I was putting my hand."

Roger was startled. "Wha…I thought I left those at the police station!"

"I guess you must have left one behind," said Vega. She was tempted to chuckle, but she didn't want to do the wrong thing. One mistake, and the man would suspect something was off.

"I guess even cops make mistakes," shrugged Roger, "Good thing I brought the wrist brace key." With a smile, he pulled out a keyring and used one of the keys it held to unlock the wrist brace. It fell off of Vega's hand, and Roger raised his foot to catch it so that it wouldn't touch the pavement.

Vega laughed, and Roger smiled. "A police officer is always prepared. Now head on home, I'll be there right after I bring those two prisoners to jail."

"See you there!"

Roger waved, got into his car, and drove away. Now that the coast was clear, Sage and Vega went back to the side of the mansion, where Scarlet and Astra were waiting for them.

"Libby holo-texted," said Astra, "She's on her way back."

Scarlet smiled as she noticed the wrist brace was no longer on Vega's hand. "Feeling better now that that thing's off?"

"Better than ever," replied Vega, "And don't worry. I'm never going to let my life stress me out again."

The Starlings laughed. "We're glad to have you back, Vega," Sage said, and they shared a group hug.

After Libby returned, she, Sage, Scarlet, and Astra unzipped their backpacks and took out their shooting stars. With Sage sharing her star with Vega, the Star Darlings took off into outer space and returned to Starland. They landed near the hedge maze, where the rest of the Star Darlings along with Lady Stella and Professor Lucretia Delphinus were waiting for them. As soon as the five arrived, Leona, Piper, Adora, Tessa, Gemma, and Clover rushed over, almost knocking Vega over as they gave her a huge group hug. Cassie simply waited until Vega had some space before she gave her a hug of her own.

"It's so good to be back," Vega said happily as Cassie greeted her.

"I couldn't agree more, Vega," declared Lady Stella, "We're all very glad you're safe."

"But what should we do if Hawk-Moth and Mayura cause more trouble?" Piper asked.

Astra smiled. "We won't have to worry about them anymore. With a little help from our Wishling friends in Paris, we got to stop them for good."

"Yeah," said Libby, "Sabrina helped us the whole way through, but if it wasn't for Ladybug and Cat Noir, we never would have been able to de-evilize Vega."

"Thanks for saving me from the villains, by the way," Vega told everyone, and the Star Darlings shared another group hug.

Unbeknownst to them, however, someone was watching them and listening to their every word. Someone who, once hearing the word "de-evilize," had a feeling that a certain friend of hers would want to know about what happened today.

The next morning, Sabrina arrived at Collège Françoise Dupont by bike. She wasn't surprised when no one remembered the excitement Vega had caused last week. Although it was a little disappointing that Chloe forgot all about how she'd been humiliated in class the other day, Sabrina still felt confident. The fact that her classmates remembered nothing about Vega's visit would only make what she herself was about to do more spontaneous.

When she got to class, Sabrina paused at the front of the room to look at her class. Marinette wasn't here yet, but she was probably just running late again as usual. Everyone else was present though, including Miss Bustier. Chloe saw Sabrina start walking down the aisle and smirked at her, ready to treat her like a sufferer once again. This time, however, instead of sitting next to her, Sabrina walked right past Chloe's desk and all the way to the back of the room. Ever since Lila joined their class, Ivan had been the only one out of Miss Bustier's students who didn't have anyone to sit next to. Well, that was about to change.

"Sabrina?" Ivan said, surprised to see her sitting next to him, "Don't you always sit with Chloe?"

"Well, maybe," the girl said, shrugging, "But it's never too late to try something new."

Chloe turned around so she could glare at Sabrina. "Uh, excuse me? What are you doing over there? This is your seat!"

"Not anymore it isn't," Sabrina said smugly, crossing her arms and leaning back in her seat.

As Marinette stumbled into the classroom and hurried to her seat, Chloe sprung to her feet, her fists clenched tight. "Get. Over. Here."

"I'm sorry, Chloe. I never realized it until now, but you're a terrible BFF. You can try to win me back with fancy clothes, hats, and accessories, but they'll never be enough for me. I'm a person too, and it's time I started being in charge of my decisions."

The entire class clapped for Sabrina. Chloe started to yell at everyone, but before she could, Miss Bustier said, "Sabrina's right, Chloe. All of us should be in charge of our own choices, and not even you can change that."

Chloe angrily sat back down, shouting, "Ridiculous! Utterly ridiculous!" Everyone else, however, proudly smiled at Sabrina. She gratefully smiled back.

As Miss Bustier began taking attendance, Sabrina sighed happily and closed her eyes. Thank you, Star Darlings, she thought, Especially you, Libby.

It was a peaceful night, for both Wishworld and Starland. Sabrina had learned the true meaning of friendship, Libby made a new best friend, and Vega was able to focus on her studies and relax at the same time. Hawk-Moth and Mayura were stopped, and Paris no longer had to worry about them. Ladybug was able to give the Butterfly and Peacock Miraculous to the Guardian of the Miracle Box, much to his relief. However, there were still a few more problems. Cat Noir still felt hurt by the fact that Hawk-Moth turned out to be Gabriel Agreste, and up in Starland, all the Starlings were sound asleep…except one, who snuck out of the academy. She had a message for someone.

Vivica traveled to the Isle Of Misera with determination in her eyes. No one at Starling Academy knew this, but she had a friend who lived in this restricted area.

"Star greetings, Vivica. Have you found a negative wish orb that, if granted, will be powerful enough to restore my power?"

"No. But I did overhear those Star Dippers talking about something confidential. Sounds like there are some people on Wishworld that used to have these powerful jewels called Miraculouses."

"Used to?"

"Yeah, the Miraculouses were confiscated from them after the twelve pathetic nobodies helped some Wishling superheroes defeat them. But if we go to Wishworld and dress up as someone the heroes trust, we can get the Miraculouses. One of them will give you your powers back, and the other one will create a minion that will become our servant."

"I am very proud of you, Vivica. Thanks to you, I will soon have control over Starland once more. Can I count on you to collect these Miraculouses and bring them to me?"

Vivica smiled. "Yes, Lady Rancora."
