The scene opens at night where Tsubaki was seen in the lodgings laying against her Alpha Honchkrow with Alpha Vespiquen holding her close.
"I've never seen Tsubaki sleep so peacefully before." Ayase said.
"I don't blame her. She's well protected." Rutega mused, as Zana and Zamo were on either side of her.
"So are you, apparently." Perfuma said, looking at the two legendary wolves. "You surprised us, seeing as how you own both legendary Pokémon of Galar."
"Well. How I met them, it was only natural. These gijinkas are actually siblings." Rutega smiled as she watched the two nuzzle up in sibling love.
"Gijinkas…are Pokémon in human form right?" Ace asked.
"Yes. It is said that there is a sort of alternate world where Pokémon take on humanoid appearances." Ayase said. "However, such a world has been closed off for a number of reasons."
"I can understand why. If such a world were to be discovered, cruel organizations and individuals would no doubt try to enslave its populace." Hayase said practicing his sword swings against Samurott.
"Humans can be quite greedy at times." Mari said as Mercury poked his head out.
"Well, we intend to prevent things like that." Rutega said as she knelt down and pet both Zamo and Zana.
"We all get where you're coming from Rutega. We want to prevent that kind of thing from happening too." Perfuma said. "Still though, you'll still make sure not to use them in battle unless the situation calls for it, right?"
"Right… but with my Staravia gone…" Rutega sighed. "I'll have to use them. For a while with Monferno, until I can form the rest of my party."
"Don't worry. Your Monferno's strong, I'm sure it can protect you until you get yourself some new members." Scorpia said.
"Hmm…well the thieves did drop a lot of things. Perhaps Staravia is still in the Coastlands looking for you." Hayase said.
"Yes. I'm sure he's still alive, and doesn't blame you for attacking him with Zana." Perfuma said.
"The look in his eyes… he was so certain, so willing… it… it really hurt. But in that moment, what else could I have done…" Rutega said with regret.
"Don't worry about it. Lets just go back to the coastlands tomorrow and see if we can find Staravia again." Scorpia said.
"Actually…I would prefer if you would go right now." Laventon said standing in the door.
"Oh! Professor Laventon!" Perfuma said. "Was there something you needed?"
"Actually yes. I would like some of you to go this evening to the Coastlands. When I was there recently, I heard this strange cry and saw what looked like lights under the water. It may be some Pokemon that hasn't been discovered yet." Laventon said.
"Well, may as well get two in one done. Let's go to the Coastlands, guys…. And see if my Staravia is looking for me." Rutega said.
A small group was then dispatched to the Cobalt coastlands. It consisted of Rutega, Ayase, Hayase, Allison and Hope.
"According to the maps…the place the professor talked about is over there." Hope said pointing to a large archway.
"Hmmm… sorry Rutega, I didn't see a Staravia anywhere we looked." Allison said as Rutega sighed.
"It's fine… I'll hold a memorial for him when we get back. Let's get this over with." Rutega said, looking towards the archway and cracking her neck.
They floated over the archway before hearing a small cry as two lights glowed under the ocean waves as they moved towards a small cave.
"Just like he said." Hayase said as they followed.
"Could it be a Chinchou or Lanturn?" Hope asked.
"No…the lights are too far apart." Ayase said.
"Then… what is it?" Rutega asked, getting closer to the water.
"Lets follow them closely and see." Hope said.
They followed the lights to a sea cave as they entered. Inside they saw three creatures of light blue with a single thing on their heads lead by a larger one with two antennae on its head as both ends glowed.
"Its…a Manaphy and three Phione." Ayase said.
"No way… so Phione were more common years ago." Rutega said in awe.
"What a discovery." Hope said. "And this is also pretty nostalgic. It's a long story, but some friends of mine actually traveled with a Manaphy years ago."
"Oh yeah…I remember them talking about that once." Ayase said. "They found a Manaphy egg and raised the little guy till he returned to the sea."
"All nostalgia aside, let's see if we can catch these guys." Hope said.
"I doubt that Manaphy will be happy if we capture the Phione. Let me distract and try catching the Manaphy on my lonesome." Rutega said.
"But… your Monferno." Allison warned.
"I have Zana and Zamo… they'll throttle back when fighting the Manaphy." Rutega assured.
Manaphy spotted Rutega and was about to attack her with Water Pulse.
"Whoa, Whoa, WHOA!" Rutega exclaimed as she was caught off guard and braced when the attack was charged when…
A sound of a matured bird Pokémon was heard, streaking into the cave and crashing into Manaphy with Brave Bird, and not suffering recoil!
"Wha…?" Rutega asked as she looked, seeing a Staraptor before her. "A… Staraptor?"
But not just any one. As it suddenly chucked something for Rutega which she caught.
Her Staravia's Pokéball.
"...It's… it's you!" Rutega exclaimed as her Staraptor roared in affirmation. "Alright! Welcome back, buddy!"
Staraptor gave a sad cry in apology that he fell behind after the incident with Arcanine.
"No. I should be the one to apologize. It was my bad that I left you behind. You're one tough fighter. Hey, I have the perfect name for you now. Your name is gonna be Star Lee! Because you're just as much of a fighter as I am!" Rutega smirked.
The Staraptor gave a happy cry in approval.
"Awesome. Let's pick up where we left off, eh?" Rutega asked, which Star Lee nodded before turning back to Manaphy. "Alright! Catch those Phione, guys! Star Lee and I got this!"
"R-right! Let's go, everybody!" Ayase said.
"Good thing I caught this on the way! Go, Qwilfish!" Hope said sending out a Qwilfish, but its color scheme was all different.
"That's the Hisuian Qwilfish." Ayase said.
"Yeah…I didn't have much choice since it was trying to pick a fight." Hope said.
"Understood. Go, Hattrem!" Ayase said sending out Hattrem.
"Come, Buizel!" Hayase said sending out Buizel.
"Let's go, Luxray!" Allison called, sending out her Luxray she caught.
The three Phione attacked with Water Pulse at the three of them.
"Hattrem, Disarming Voice!" Ayase said as Hattrem let out a cry that disrupted the Phione's attacks.
"Qwilfish, Barb Barrage in the Strong Style!" Hope said as the Qwilfish rammed into one of the Phione, leaving it barely hanging on. "Excellent!" he said tossing a Pokéball and capturing it. "That's one!"
"Luxray, Spark!" Allison ordered as Luxray used the weak electric attack. But thanks to high attack power and super effectiveness, it almost OHKO'd the Phione. "Now!" Allison exclaimed, tossing a Pokéball as that was 2 Phione caught. "That's two!"
"Buizel, Water Gun!" Hayase said.
"And Hattrem, back up with Brutal Swing!" Ayase said as both Pokémon attacked at once as Ayase tossed the Pokéball at it. "And that's three. We got all the Phione."
"How's it going over there, Rutega?" Hope asked Rutega.
"Going well! Just finishing up here. Star Lee, Close Combat!" Rutega called, as the Staraptor unleashed a rapid assault, bringing the Manaphy down very low on health, before she threw a Pokéball and caught it. "Not my style but I caught the Manaphy! Who wants it?"
"We'll think about it." Hope said. "By the way, did everyone notice that move my Qwilfish did? It was a type of variation on a move that can only be used when a Pokémon masters it. It's divided into two types. Strong Style and Agile Style."
"One does more damage, and one launches faster, right?" Rutega asked.
"Yes, but both have a turn off." Ayase said. "With Strong Style, the attack is stronger but because it uses more energy, it takes longer to execute its next move. While Agile Style has the attack become weaker, but because the Pokémon is conserving energy, its next move comes faster."
"So Strong style sacrifices speed for power while Agile style does the other way around. Am I getting this right?" Scorpia asked.
"Yeah. I learned about that from the battlegrounds near the Galaxy Team building." Hope said. "You guys should go by there sometime."
"Seems we accomplished two tasks tonight. Finding Staraptor as well as discovering Manaphy. I'm sure the professor will be pleased to have data on mythical Pokémon." Hayase said.
"Yeah. I wonder what sort of adventures Hisui has for us next?" Hope said.
