The next morning, the group awoke bright and early as they headed to the Galaxy Team building before being approached by a man in a conductors uniform.
"Excuse me. I wasn't watching where I was going." he said.
"No way…!" Mari said to herself in shock.
"That's on us, sorry." Hope said. "That band…are you…"
"I am a Warden for the Pearl Clan…temporarily of course. My name is Ingo." he said.
"(Ingo?! What's one of Nimbasa City's Subway Bosses doing here?!)" Hope asked himself.
"Nice to meet you Ingo." Rutega said with a smile.
"Hmm…you all…fell from the sky right? You and I share a common situation. But let me ask…do you remember what your lives were before you fell through?" Ingo asked.
"Um… Yes, very much so." Tsubaki said.
"I see…you are very fortunate. Hopefully we shall meet again soon." Ingo said as he departed.
"To think we'd meet Ingo here of all places." Hope said. "But… it looks like he's lost his memory."
"Yes… It would seem he has suffered amnesia from the impact of his landing when he was transported here." Tsubaki said.
"Is this guy…important?" Scorpia asked.
"Oh…right. You wouldn't know." Mari said. "In the Unova Region, under Nimbasa City, there's this place called the Battle Subway. It's run by two big time trainers. Ingo and Emmett. Two subway conductors and top notch trainers."
"But one of them is here now, with no memory of who he is in the present." Perfuma said. "I feel sorry for him."
"Poor guy…" Siege sighed. "I hope his memories come back."
"Same." Tsubaki said as they entered the building.
"Good…you're here. We have another task for you." Kamado said.
"Recently, Lord Electrode, he has started to go into a frenzy like the other Nobles." Adaman said.
"Thought so. Where do we go?" Hope asked.
"The Coronet Highlands…the area that is closest to Mt. Coronet." Kamado said.
"Mt. Coronet itself?" Tsubaki asked.
"We'll be right up in the mouth of the Spacetime Rift that brought us here." Scorpia said.
"Scaling the mountain will be hard on foot though. We might need some help." Hope said.
"There are Pokémon capable of scaling that mountain. In fact, one of the Wardens, Ingo, cares for said Pokémon." Adaman said.
"Did you say Ingo? We just so happen to-" Perfuma started.
"Wait, sir, you can't go up there!" a voice called out as a man walked in.
"Melli…I told you not to come here." Adaman said.
"Well since I am Electrode's Warden, I have a say. And I say we do not try and quell the frenzy. It's just a gift given to him by Almighty Sinnoh." Melli said.
"...You're not serious, are you?" Scorpia asked.
"Electrodes are dangerous already since they have explosive tendencies, but since this noble is in a frenzy, that adds to the danger." Hope said.
"Besides, Frenzied Pokémon have been known to cause trouble to the people around them. As warden, are you willing to bear the responsibility of the lives Electrode injures?" Tsubaki asked.
"Only someone foolish would get close to him. That is why you should…" Melli said as they were already heading out. "Hey! You can't just walk away! I'm stating my case!" he called out in frustration.
"No one cares!" Ayase calls back.
"Thanks, Ayase… I was starting to hate that guy already." Tsubaki said.
"Ditto on that. The guy's an ass." Ace said.
"Agreed." Rutega, Siege, and Allison all said in unison.
"Still, he's fervently loyal to his Noble. He'll likely try to get in our way, so let's watch out for him." Hope said.
"Hmm." Mari said. "I've been thinking."
"What's up, Mari?" Scorpia asked.
"Don't tell us…you wanna catch some Pokémon yourself, right?" Hope asked.
"Hehehe. Yeah, I want to find some new friends for Mercury, and I've been thinking of forming my own Pokémon team." Mari said.
"Well Mt. Coronet has a pretty interesting magnetism to it. So lots of electric and steel types may call it home." Ayase said.
"You'll get your Pokémon soon, Mari. For right now, let's link up with Ingo." Hope said.
They headed off and arrived in the highlands, before them was a vast sequence of mountain ranges that seemed to rise and fall.
"Wow…Mt. Coronet. Think this is my first time seeing it so close." Hope said.
"It certainly does look amazing." Perfuma said.
"It's more breathtaking now than what it is in the future for sure." Siege said as they took it all in.
"Okay…there's Ingo down there." Hope said, seeing him on a lower land as they descended down to him.
"I was told you were coming. So, you need a way to scale this mountain. Meaning you wish to call upon Sneasler's help." Ingo said.
"Yes.. wait… Sneasler?" Scorpia asked.
"It's the name of the Pokémon I look after. Its claws make it adept at climbing any surface. I've even seen it sleep while climbing." Ingo said. "It'll be a bit of a hike but it is worth it." he said before doing a pose. "All aboard! Please follow me as we proceed!"
"He may have lost his memories, but he hasn't lost his conductor attitude." Hope said.
"Quite a character for sure." Allison giggled.
They proceeded into a cave where it was pitch black.
"Hmm…seems the torches were taken down. You'll need to stay close to me." Ingo said as they went down the tunnel. "You know…I do have some memories. I remember…that I had a partner. One whose light could illuminate the way with its ghostly flames."
"(He's talking about Chandelure. I've heard he uses one in battle.)" Hope thought.
"I also remember…there was someone who looked almost like me. I cannot put a finger to his name but I think we were either family or partners." Ingo said.
"(His twin brother, Emmet.)" Mari thought.
"Halt! Note to the right as there is an Alpha Crobat." Ingo said. "Please bare with us as we make a detour." he said as they turned left.
"(He's got incredible senses for sure. Even without his memories.)" Rutega thought.
They soon reached a large chamber with a lake and noticed some torches.
"So that's where the torches went. We best set them back up so no one else will be stumbling in the dark." Ingo said.
Before they could, they heard screaming as they saw two figures in the dark.
"Ah! Cave Ghosts!" Perfuma said as she caused some vines to grow and grab the figures, soon revealed to be Sunset and Luna.
"Dude, what the heck?" Luna said.
"Sunset, Luna." Ace said.
"Oh I am so sorry!" Perfuma apologized. "When I heard you screaming, I mistook you for ghosts!"
"We were screaming cause we were running from them!" Sunset said, pointing to a mass of Zubat, Golbat and Gible.
"Ah!" a number of them said as they ran out of the cave.
"How in the world did…" Mari said.
"Kinda our fault. We were trying to get off the mountain when Grookey ran into the cave and started drumming. One thing lead to another and…well…here we are." Luna said.
"We needed to go through to head to a village but the torches were gone and we ended up getting lost." Sunset said.
"Well, you're safe now." Hope said.
"Wait…if you're here…Ah. You must have finally gotten the message we left." Sunset said.
"Uh…message?" Hope asked.
"Yeah. Sunset was smart about this. She chiseled the date and time into some ruins we passed by so you and the others could bring the king and get us out." Luna said.
"We never got any message." Perfuma said.
"But you should have known to go to Sinnoh." Sunset said. "After all the plates and…or maybe you just grabbed onto a plate before you even knew what was going on."
"Yeah, that's what happened to some of us." Mari said.
"Truth is, the Fist, Icicle and Blank Plates appeared during the Closing Ceremonies of the Olympics. Rutega here grabbed the Fist Plate, while Esmerelda and Glacius did the same with Icicle. Then Jexi took a number of us from certain teams and dragged us here." Hope said.
"Yeah…that definitely sounds like him. But even then, the others left behind should know to head to Sinnoh." Sunset said.
"Yeah, I have a feeling they will soon." Tsubaki said.
"Well, I left a date. Hopefully they see it so Tails can fire up the Time Machine and come back to bring us all home." Sunset said.
"Wow…you thought this through." Hope said.
"Oh…you people again." a voice said as Melli stood there. "How dare you put those torches back up. You could be blinding Pokémon who are used to darkness."
"Oh, and passerbys getting lost in the cave doesn't concern you? You're pathetic." Tsubaki said.
"Oh that's rich. Coming from the people who are trying to deprive my lord of his power." Melli said.
"What is your problem?" Sunset said.
"My problem is that I don't need outsiders interfering with Diamond Clan affairs." Melli said as he walked off.
"Guy's got an ego the size of a Groudon." Tsubaki said.
"Once we get to the arena, I just know he's gonna try and stop us." Hope said.
"I concur." Gus stated with a scowl on his face.
"I mean, yeah. David has to deal with Revali, but in his defense, Revali's attitude isn't nearly as bad as this guy's." Tsubaki said.
"Come along." Ingo said as they continued on down a set path as they passed through some ruins before reaching a sheer mountain side. "We've arrived at our destination."
"Alright. Let's call for Sneasler." Hope said. "Mari, you wanna do the honors?"
"Oh…we're not doing that just yet." Ingo said.
"What do you mean?" Hope asked.
"Before I decide to call Sneasler…I want to battle you." Ingo said.
"Oh, I get it now. If we battle him, it might reignite some of his memories." Tsubaki said.
"You read my mind. I'll still call Sneasler whether you win or lose. But…if this will help…come out, Machoke!" Ingo said, sending out Machoke.
"Okay…let's do this, Dartrix!" Perfuma said sending out Dartrix. "Attack with Wing Attack!" she said as Dartrix flew at Machoke and took it out.
"Return! Come, Tangela!" Ingo said sending out Tangela.
"I'll continue with Dartrix! Use Wing Attack again!" Perfuma said as Dartrix attacked Tangela. Tangela quickly fell from that.
"Interesting…but this…will be my last! Come, Gliscor!" Ingo said sending out Gliscor.
"A Flying and Ground type? How's Perfuma gonna beat that with Dartrix?" Hope asked.
"I'm not sure… but I'll still try! Datrix, Razor Leaf!" Perfuma called as Dartrix attacked with a grass move.
"Aerial Ace!" Ingo said as Gliscor struck Dartrix with a strong Aerial Ace.
"Dont give up Dartrix! Use Leaf Blade!" Perfuma said as Dartrix struck back as Gliscor dodged it.
"Use X-Scissor!" Ingo said as Gliscor performed an X shaped slash on Dartrix.
"Perfuma, Dartix is at a disadvantage against Gliscor!" Hope said.
"I know… I've built my team mainly around Grass types, but I still want to press forward!" Perfuma said. "You've never given up despite overwhelming odds, so why should I? I dont have the most favorable of odds… but I still believe I can win!"
Dartrix let out a loud caw before it glowed. It grew taller as some of the leaves on its head formed into a sort of hat with its green leaves turning orange and red with its legs bulking up as it let out a caw.
"Oh!" Perfuma smiled in joy.
"Alright! Perfuma's Dartrix evolved into Decidueye!" Scorpia said.
"It seems to have Fighting as its secondary type by the looks of it." Mari said.
"That puts it at an even bigger disadvantage, though." Tsubaki mentioned. "Since it loses its Flying type, Ground-type attacks can hurt it now. And now that it's a Fighting-type, Flying-type attacks will hit it even harder now."
"Didn't I say I would press forward despite the odds? It doesn't matter what type it is now, Decidueye is still my partner!" Perfuma said. "Decidueye, show Gliscor what you can do!"
Decidueye understood, and flew right at Gliscor, delivering a powerful axe kick to it, followed by a barrage of three arrows, damaging the Fang Scorp Pokémon. It then followed with a close up Leaf Blade, sending it crashing down in defeat.
"Wow, she won!" Scorpia said. "That move it pulled off before Leaf Blade was cool, too!"
"An offensive kick followed by a trio of arrows…." Perfuma said. "That's a move it knows for sure. Therefore I'll call it…Triple Arrows!"
"A little bit of a simple name, but it's pretty catchy." Hope said. "So Ingo, did that battle help you regain any memories?"
"Some but not all. It's a good start. Now…" Ingo said, blowing into his flute as descending down the mountain was a tall lanky Pokémon with sharp claws and a bent over feather in its head.
"So that's a Sneasler…" Tsubaki said, looking at it closely.
"It sure doesn't look like it evolves from a regular Sneasel." Hope said. "Maybe Sneasel has a Hisuian Form."
Sneasler gave them a nod before giving them the Toxic Plate.
"Aw, sweet! Thanks!" Luna said, taking it.
"Now we have the means to scale the cliffs to get to Electrode's Arena." Perfuma said. "Thank you so much for your assistance, Ingo."
"Think nothing of it." Ingo said.
Sneasler helped some of the members up the mountain wall a few at a time before they all reached an old set of ruins.
"Whoa…what was this place?" Moth asked.
"These were the ruins we told you guys about." Sunset said. "Apparently there was a civilization of people here until it collapsed."
"This is incredible." Mari said as she slowly looked around.
"Yeah. But now its home to Pokémon like that." Sunset said, pointing to a small wooden ball like Pokémon as it joyfully rolled about.
"What the, is that an Electrode?" Mari asked.
"Too small. I think it's a Voltorb, the Pokémon Electrode evolves from." Ayase said. "But…they aren't usually made of wood. Must be a Hisuian form of Voltorb."
"Makes sense, considering that Pokéballs here are kind of made of wood." Tsubaki said.
"Then that would essentially make it a Grass type too since it's made out of wood." Ace said.
"Also the fact it can shoot out seeds from its top." Cricket said.
The Voltorb then spotted the group, and rolled over to them, eyeing them all up before joyously hopping around Perfuma.
"Awww! It likes me!" Perfuma said.
"In that case, I guess it won't mind if you catch it." Hope said.
"Indeed. It'll be a great addition to my team." Perfuma said, capturing it in a Pokéball.
"Still, it's really interesting. How some of the Pokémon had an additional type back then." Mari said.
"That's not what…nevermind. Least this gives us a hint about Electrode. It'll also have Grass Type traits." Sunset said.
"We'll be able to quell it knowing that info." Hope said.
"Yeah, hopefully you will!" a voice said as they saw two figures standing on the cliff side.
"Mark! David!" Hope said.
"Sorry we're late. Traffic was awful." David said "You guys doing okay down there?"
"Yeah. We've been doing just fine." Gus said.
"Glad we finally found you." Ayase said.
"I heard about what happened in the Cobalt Coastlands. You two girls did quite well on your own. I guess I didn't need to worry after all." David said.
"Thanks. By the way, I've got a few presents for you." Tsubaki said.
"Erm… Why don't you save that for after we get back to the present?" David asked.
"Besides, we still need to quell Electrode." Hayase said.
"Right. Time is wasting. Let's go." Tsubaki said.
"Yeah, the sooner the better. Listening to that Melli guy all day has been giving me a migraine." David said
"You've been near him?" Tsubaki asked.
"All day. Like he said, it was annoying." Mark said.
"No worries. We're heading to his Noble's Arena to shut him up." Hope said.
They went through the ruins as they approached Moonview Arena where Melli stood guard.
"Now stop right there. I will not let you anywhere near the Lord. He is happily celebrating his newfound power." Melli said.
"Celebrating? It's probably in pain from all that power." Ayase said.
"You know… I think I have heard just about enough of that attitude of yours." Tsubaki said, leering at Melli.
"Well then…if that's how you feel, why don't we settle this with a battle?" Melli asked. "You win, I let you by without any more interference. Sounds good, right?"
"Tch. What's the catch if we lose." Rutega glowered.
"You will not be permitted to go near my lord." Melli said.
"You better honor that deal." Tsubaki said. "Because if you don't… Well, tarnished pride will be the least of your worries."
"I'm not worried. I'm certain I can win. Now…we begin! Come! Skuntank! Zubat! Skorupi!" Melli called out as the three Pokémon came out to his side.
"Those three, huh? They're all Poison-type…" Tsubaki said. "I think I can make this work, though. Quilava, Sealeo, and Luxray!"
"Ha! Your Pokémon stand no chance! Skuntank, attack Quilava with Poison Jab! Skorupi, use Bite on Luxray! And Zubat, use Hypnosis on Sealeo!" Melli said.
"Okay… Let's try this. Quilava, Rollout! Sealeo, Ice Shard! Luxray, Thunder Fang!" Tsubaki said.
All three Pokémon attacked Melli's with only Skorupi and Zubat being taken out with Skuntank holding on.
"Okay, that was probably a fluke. But now, Skuntank, burn them up with Flamethrower!" Melli said as Skuntank breathed out a lot of flames.
"Sealeo, fight back with Water Pulse. Everyone else, use Quick Attack!" Tsubaki said.
Sealeo doused the flames as Quilava and Luxray rushed at Skuntank, taking it down.
"Ah! Okay…I'll admit you are powerful. But…you forgot one thing…I'm the only one who knows what Electrode likes. I can just keep tight about it and you can't make balms." Melli said.
"Nah…that was never an issue." a voice said as two figures approached. One of which being Adaman. "I already had some prepped."
"Oh, thank goodness you guys are here." David said. "And…Senku? You're quite the surprise."
"Senku?!" some of the group said.
"Heh…how long did you know I was here?" Senku asked, walking out from behind the balms.
"I just happen to have good sense, is all." David said.
"So…you guessed. Got it." Senku said.
"Senku? But how did…" Hope said.
"Yeah…I got dragged into this plate stuff too." Senku said.
"Didn't think we would meet again so soon though." Ace said.
"How are the preparations for your Voyage coming?" Perfuma asked.
"We can talk about that another time." Senku said. "Let's just say things are going smoothly."
"We'll leave it at that then. Great to have you here." Hope said. "Also, thanks a bunch, Adaman. I don't think Melli was ever going to help us."
"Think nothing of it. I kinda thought something like this might happen." Adaman said.
The group then began moving.
"One word of advice, when facing my lord…don't stop moving or you're dead." Melli said.
"Always stay on your feet, got it." David said.
They entered the arena where a large tree stood as it shook a bit before a number of Voltorb fell from it before a large one fell behind them.
"Whoa…that Voltorb is huge!" Perfuma said.
The orb then turned around and got rightside up, revealing itself as the Hisuian Electrode.
Lord of the Hollow
Electrode
"Nope, that's Electrode!" Hope said.
"Compared to your new teammate, Perfuma, it doesn't look happy!" Scorpia said.
"I know! Look at its face, it has such an angry look! If my Voltorb evolves into that, then I say no to that." Perfuma said, noting the Permanent angry face etched on Electrode.
"Good thing you can choose whether to evolve it or not." Tsubaki said.
Electrode sparked as it unleashed an orb of electricity at them before rolling into the tree as multiple Voltorb fell from the tree and glowed.
"Move! They're using Self-Destruct!" Cricket said.
The group evaded as the voltorb exploded, Electrode shaking to call down more as it made it rain Voltorb everywhere. Adhering to Melli's advice, they kept moving to avoid electrodes attacks and the Voltorb it summoned.
"It's not giving us an opening to throw balms!" Hope said.
"Guys, there is a certain radius to the explosions. Just stay out of the blast zone until Electrode fatigues itself." David said.
"Then that's when we'll let loose with the balms. Got it." Ace said.
Electrode then started to shake as it glowed brightly.
"He's gonna blow! Take cover!" Senku said.
They group quickly jumped out of the way as Electrode let loose a large discharge before it stood there wobbling.
"It's wobbling! Throw them now!" Tsubaki said.
The group then threw their shares of balms at Electrode. Electrode quickly regained its senses before it sparked with anger.
"Uh oh. He's not going down." Tsubaki said.
"This one's a true fighter for damn sure…" Siege clicked his tongue. "Rutega, you think we need to…"
"If I tried that, who knows what could happen. It could hardly affect him or affect him too much. I'm not performing a sync move." Rutega stated.
"Well we have to try something." Siege grumbled.
"Tsubaki, if Electrode has the Grass typing to it, then…." Hope said.
"Are you suggesting I send Quilava against him? Are you crazy?" Tsubaki asked.
"...No. I'll take the brunt of this one. Come hell or high water it's not coming to this." Siege declared. "Reshina, it's time!" Siege called, sending out his Reshiram as the Pokéball opened with great power, Reshina roaring. "Let's do it! Now or never, sync up!"
Reshina roared, as she and Siege powered up extremely. "Carve the path to a brighter future! Burn the darkness away to a new light!"
SHARED HOPE FUSION FLARE
Reshina rose up, flames coating her body before shooting down towards Electrode, the impact causing a massive fiery explosion.
"I think that did some major damage!" Hope said.
"Now…let's wrap this up." Senku said, tossing the last balm. A glow then flowed out of Electrode as its frenzy was finally quelled.
"Nice job Reshina. You did well." Siege smiled as he recalled her to her Pokéball.
Despite its angry demeanor, Electrode rolled up to the others and presented the Zap Plate.
"Huh…the same thing that brought me here. Thanks for the return." Senku said.
Electrode then rolled off.
"No…what a calamity. Now, almighty Sinnoh's blessing is gone for good." Melli cried.
"Come now. It's likely happy because it's not suffering anymore." Adaman said.
"That's just wishful thinking. I just hope almighty Sinnoh does not take his anger out on me." Melli said.
"Seriously, how did he become a warden?" Scorpia asked the group discreetly.
"Questions we'll never know." David said.
"I arrive right on schedule." Ingo said arriving.
"What are you doing here?" Melli asked.
"I only came because I recall some things from the world I lived in before. Of how people lived, worked alongside and battled with Pokemon as things called Trainers. The ones truly devoted to their craft. If people and Pokémon work together, we can forge new paths." Ingo said.
"He's telling the truth. We're all from the same place he's from after all. And believe it or not, friends from our time have become trainers. David here is one himself." Hope said.
"You act like you aren't one yourself." Mark said. "A majority of us are trainers, or otherwise have close connections to Pokémon. I mean, I'm not one of them, but I've seen those kinds of bonds myself. It's really something amazing."
"Yeah, Pokémon are living creatures just like us, they're like family to their trainers. Anyone who would only use them as tools, don't deserve Pokémon as their partners." Ace added.
"100% agreed. Having Pokémon isn't just having a pet. It's having a friend. A child, in some cases." Siege informed.
"Siege has a point with that last bit. Raising Pokémon has a similar feeling to raising a kid. You cherish moments as they're young, and wish they were still young, but are proud of them when they mature." Allison said.
"And even if you don't have that, your Pokémon is your comrade in battle. It isn't just them out there fighting. You're fighting with them. You're making sure they don't fall on the field of battle so they can be with you on the next." Rutega affirmed.
"Hmm…I see. It's not just my Pokémon that need to grow powerful, but I as well. I shall continue to grow with my Pokémon and ensure they and I reach our full potential. Maybe then will almighty Sinnoh be pleased with my progress." Melli said.
"Erm, right. Like that." David said.
"In any case, that's mission accomplished." Hope said. "Let's hang around a bit so we can catch a few Pokémon before heading back to the village."
"Haven't seen anything I would want yet." Rutega mused.
"Wow. You're being very patient. I know your Monferno is an Infernape now but surely you need a full team." Siege would say.
"Just give me time. I'll catch em when I see 'em." Rutega said.
And so the rest of their time was spent gathering Pokemon in the Coronet Highlands. However, the final Noble would soon come up rather quickly.
