Chapter One

Lexi POV

Being Tony Starks Daughter that the world didn't know about was a blessing and a curse, I took my mothers last name to remain hidden which hurt my father but he understood I wanted to remain hidden till now I am 22 years old and decided to take his offer working at the Avengers compund which was terrifying but exciting. Pepper was with me walking into the campus to meet my father her husband who introduced me to the Team. I worked with Bruce before on analyzing Lokis septor before (unknowing to me) Ultron tried to erase the world population by literally splitting Sekovia from the rest of the world, My grandfather spoke highly of Steve Rogers so I straightened my posture a little when shaking his hand, he then introduced me to Bucky his lifelong best friend. I just got out of the military so this was an honor especially since I was the same rank as Bucky, my father then said

"My daughter Lexi just got done serving in the Army also as a tank mechanic so maybe you guys can bond over that even though you three served at very different times".

I looked at my dad embarrassed but SGT Bucky looked very intrigued but kept quiet, Natasha introduced herself to me and she looks nice but deadly at the same time, it was nice to see another woman who can obviously handle herself since I barely saw that during my time in the military (I may have only served for three years but still saw and went through a lot more than most civilians go through) from what I read from her file that my father sent me and the way she carried herself I could definitely tell she has been through quite a bit, Pietro came forward to introduce himself and to his sister Wanda who seemed curious but standoffish. I nodded at them and was intrigued by the twins especially since they didn't originally have powers I wanted to ask them about that later. I felt someone staring at me so I scan the room and see Barnes staring at me normally that would bother me especially after dealing with men in the Army but it didn't feel threatening it felt like he was curious but I ignored it for now and looked at the young timid looking boy

"Hi Lexi my name is Peter It is so nice to finally meet you, Mr. Stark has talked about you especially when you were in the Army".

"Hi Peter it's nice to meet you, He has said many positive things about you Spiderboy" I smirked

He blushed everyone else chuckled at the nickname, Clint came up to greet me it was nice to see someone who didn't any powers or was part of some crazy assassination group.

"Hi it's nice to meet you Clint, it's nice to be around someone who doesn't have any powers or is enhanced in any way"

He grinned then dad got offended I looked over at him and turned back to Clint to add

"Oh and doesn't have a huge ego like my dad and most of the men that I worked with in the Army, you seem the most normal out of anyone I met I hope to get to know you. Can you show me how to do archery"?

Everyone was laughing their asses off at this, Steve and James were surprised I said that especially since when they were in women were secretaries and nurses, though I get the feeling they don't mind that I served, or that I speak my mind once the shock wore off they were looking at Tony smirking. Steve looked at Tony and said

"She is definitely your daughter with the sense of humor"

I looked at him and asked

"Is it true that you said 'Language' in the middle of a mission at a HYDRA base"?

James started laughing and shaking his head and looked at him

"We were in the Army, swearing shouldn't be a problem for you especially since we were infantry"

I looked at Steve and teased

"I'm kidding I know how officers are they are quite different from enlisted some ways good others annoying"

Steve was embarrassed and looked at Bucky and said

"It was in the moment and what do you mean some are good and others are annoying"?

"I will explain later maybe, James can you join too. I think it would be cool to share our experiences despite being decades apart"?

They both nodded and agreed I was so excited but nervous because I wasn't sure if I wanted to tell them about all the sexism I faced… then my dad said

"Okay let my daughter settle in and be ready at 8 we are having a welcoming party for Lexi…and break"

"Dad a party really"

I complained as everyone was walking away the only people who stayed were Wanda and Natasha

"Your dad will always look for a reason to throw a party and do you need to buy anything for tonight Wanda and I can help you"

I thought back to what I brought trying to remember if I brought anything that would be good for tonight

"I would need to go shopping, Dad we will be back soon"

He handed me his credit card much to my displeasure
