Chapter 2
When we got to the Express we were looking at dresses when Nat looked at me smirking when she said
"You have caught Barnes eye, he doesn't talk to anyone besides Steve and Sam"
I looked at her and rolled my eyes
"We both were in the Army and I have dealt with Infantry men for five years both enlisted and officers. He probably feels safe talking to me because I know what it's like to be in the military. Both Sam and Steve were in the military. From my own experience him doing that is actually extremely common".
"Okay whatever you say, anyways what about this dress"?
No I don't really want to wear a dress, I kind of want to wear a jump suit tonight…. Ooh maybe this one right here"
It was black with lace, it was so pretty but simple. I tried it on and Wanda and Nat whistled…..
"Damn you look good. Maybe a certain super soldier will try to talk to you if he isn't too busy drooling"
I rolled my eyes and asked
"What do you mean…you do realize there are two right"?
Wanda looked at me
"I can read minds and Bucky thinks you are cute, He wants to talk to you but doesn't know how since he has been through hell and lost himself from trauma"
I looked at Wanda shocked she said that since she I met her she is more stand offish than Natasha
"I mean I think he is cute too but I don't want to make the same mistake of dating co workers and not to mention what HYDRA made him do to my grandparents my father is still pretty upset about that, he only really tolerates him because he is Steve's friend and my Grandfather loved both CPT Rogers and SGT Barnes"
They both nodded and Nat spoke up
"What do you mean 'Made the mistake of dating co workers'"?
"I made the mistake of dating another tanker (operator for the tanks I fixed) he was extremely toxic, he made my life miserable"
"Ah okay….I am so sorry that the situation happened to you. I apologize for saying anything"
Wanda looked down in shame, but I looked at her and said
"It's okay, you just were telling me his thoughts but I want to get used to being a civilian first before getting into a relationship because I need as much normalcy I can get which won't be much being Tony Starks daughter"
"I totally understand and you look AMAZING!"
"Thank you I think I will get it, are you guys getting anything"?
"No we are good, right Wanda"
"Yes I am good, are you guys hungry"?
We ate then got back a couple hours later after walking around and having a lot of girl talk. Nat and Wanda decided to get ready in my room, I was curling my hair when there was a knock on my door
"Hey Lex it's almost time for the party, are you guys almost ready"?
"Yeah we are Dad we will be out there soon"
"Okay Sweetheart, see you soon"
"Are you guys almost ready"?
"Yes we are and you look amazing, are you excited for your first Avengers party"?
"It probably isn't any different then all the parties I went too"
We walked downstairs and my dad was waiting at the bottom, he looked at me with a smile and introduced me to several investors all saying the same stuffy jokes… I looked over at the mini bar where Nat, Wanda and Pietro were sitting talking to a man who looked like Sam Wilson. My dad interrupted my thoughts and told me I'm okay to go over there. Once I walked over there I told Nat to give me a shot of Whiskey. The guy looked over me at me shocked then introduced himself
"Hi you must be Tonys daughter, I am Sam Wilson"
"HI nice to meet you"
Nat put the shot down then I chugged it and told her to make me another. Sam was shocked I was taking several shots but I just looked at him and told him
"I was in the Army, you should know how much soldiers drink especially in combat units"
He just laughed shaking his head
"Yeah that's true"
He walked over to where the two super soldiers were, I waved at them smiling. Bucky smiled and looked down and seemed embarrassed…Hmmm interesting. Nat asked me
"You want to go to the club later, maybe take advantage of the Stark name"
"Yeah we can go to the club, ask everyone else who wants to go I think it will be a lot of fun having all of us there"
"Hey guys who wants to go to the club later"
Sam, Steve, Pietro, Wanda, Bucky, and Nat all agreed to go, I was so excited to go with the Avengers. I was so nervous to go with all them, We had Happy take us to Lizard Lounge I have never been there but my dad said he liked it.
