Chapter 14:
(Felix POV)
- 2 years later -
I woke up and I looked over at the suits that hung on the bathroom door. I couldn't believe that this day was happening. I mean it was a long time coming but everyone knew this day was coming. I got up and went into the kitchen looking over what I could make for breakfast. I spotted the eggs and took out a pan. I was working on breakfast when I looked over at Augustin waking up, "Well good morning." He nodded his head, "I'm getting married today right?" I couldn't help but laugh as I nodded my head, "Yes you are."
He smiled, "Good." He came over as I passed him a plate of eggs, "Come on I have been tasked by Julieta with getting you to the church on time and in one piece." He seemed surprised, "I'm no usually late to things." I nodded my head, "Yeah but getting there completely unharmed?" He smirked "It was smart of her to enlist your help." We both laughed when he asked, "You got the rings?" I nodded my head, "Yeah everything is set." I looked around at the pile of boxes. "I'm going to miss this place," He said and I couldn't help but scoff. No one would ever miss this place, "Please."
He nodded his head, "Yeah you're right, probably just miss my roommate." I shrugged, "Yeah well I'll miss having you around too." I watched him smirk as he shoved my arm, "I mean in a few years though, you and Pepa..." I knew where this is going, "Will see where we are at." I didn't want anyone to pressure us into a wedding. We have had a good thing going on for 2 years and unlike Augustin and Julieta she did have feelings for someone else. "Got it. Last time I'm bringing it up today," He said and I nodded my head, "Thanks, but we better head out you need to be at the church in an hour," his eyes widened. "Well then let's go."
(Pepa POV)
I had to make sure that the skies were clear today. Julieta was getting married and I wanted everything to be perfect. I knocked on her door. "Julieta," I said. I opened the door and saw her wedding dress hanging on her closet door. "Julieta?" I called out again. She wasn't there and I looked at the dress. It was beautiful. She was going to be a really beautiful bride. I then heard the door open, "Morning Pepa." I looked over at her, "What are you doing already awake?" She shrugged, "It is habit."
She walked over to her dress, "You know you aren't going to be that far behind me." I shook my head, "It took you 2 years to plan your wedding. Even if Felix proposed tomorrow it would take a while." She smiled, "And are you open to that? Him proposing?" I smiled, "Look I love Felix, but I don't want to rush our relationship." She rolled her eyes, "You have been friends since you were kids." I rolled my eyes, "And I dated another guy for 3 years." She rolled her eyes, "Hernando." I nodded my head, "Yeah Hernando." "Now come on, we need to start getting you ready," I said and she smiled, "Ok, let's get started."
(Felix POV)
- a few hours later -
Pepa and I were dancing during the reception and it was great to be around her for a while. The last couple of days had been a series of wedding preparations and moving arrangements. "You having a good time?" I asked and she nodded her head, "Yeah. I missed you." I smiled, "I missed you too." I spun her around. I began looking around at the big party and everyone celebrating and how happy they were. Maybe I do kind of want this to happen sooner with Pepa... Just not yet.
- one year later -
I knocked on the door to the Madrigal house and Augustin answered. He smirked, "Finally going to do it." I nodded my head and he made his way inside. He then looked over to, "Señora Madrigal, can I talk to you?" She nodded her head, "Of course. Let's go into the dinning room.
(Pepa POV)
I made my way downstairs and saw Felix leaving the dinning room shaking Mama's hand, "Felix?" He smiled up at me, "Pepa Madrigal." I rolled my eyes, "Did we have plans?" He shook his head, "No, but do you want to join me on a walk?" I nodded my head, "Yeah sure. Sounds good." We walked along the fields of Encanto and every time I looked over at Felix he gave me a big bright smile that made everything in the world just make sense. "Pepa," he said stopping for a moment and I turned to face him, "Yes." He was down on one knee with a ring box held out towards me. "Yes." I said nodding my head before he could ask me anything, "Pepa you kind of need to let me..." He started but I already leaned down and wrapped my arms around him pulling him in for a kiss, "I had a whole thing planned..." he started to say in between breath, "... whole speech about how I loved you..." "I love you too" I mumbled and he relented and gave in to the kiss. When we separated he sighed, "That is not the story that we are going to tell other people, ok?" I nodded my head, "Ok."
I leaned back and laid on the grass as a cool breezed filled the air. Felix laid down next to me interlocking his fingers with mine. He slyly slipped the ring on my finger and I was surprised by the cool feel of the metal. I looked down and was stunned before looking at him wide-eyed. This ring was expensive, like back room of the jewelry store in a locked case expensive. I looked up at him, "Felix?" He let out a quick breath shaking his head, "Don't worry about it." "But you have been saving," I started but he smiled shaking his head, "How do you think you sister, brother and brother-in-law would feel about someone else moving in?" I let out a quick breath, "Wait really?" He nodded his head, "It was kind of a condition of your Mama's not that I mind. It is an upgrade from the shack." I smiled shaking my head, "I like where you live." He rolled his eyes, "Because you don't actually live there, but being in a magical house surrounded by family sounds pretty good to me." I smiled, "It has its moments." I leaned in for another kiss and we stayed out like that watching the stars as a cool breeze filled the air.

The next chapter will be the last chapter. Sorry about the delay with this chapter my life has been pretty hectic at the moment and I needed to take some time to get things in order before I could attend to my stories and then I was having trouble with this story. Hope you all enjoyed.
