Ext. Olivia's House - Day
it is now Saturday, Zach drives up to Olivia's house and approaches her doorstep, he rings the doorbell and her dad, Eli Moore, answers
Eli:
Can i help you?
Zach:
Hi, Mr. Moore, I'm a friend of Olivia's and i was wondering if i could talk to her?
There is a REALLY awkward silence between the two
Eli:
Yeah, let me go get her
Zach:
Ok
Eli closes the door and Zach waits, he examines the yard, it's nice and neat, grass is a bright green and he notices a really nice car in the driveway before Olivia opens the door and Zach turns around
Olivia:
Oh, what are you doing here?
Zach:
I'm...uh... Sorry that i couldn't make it to the library the other day
Olivia:
it's fine
Zach:
Really?
Olivia(sarcastically):
yeah, I'm sure whatever you had to do was more important, it's no big deal
Zach:
If i told you why, you probably wouldn't believe me
Olivia:

Zach:
Ok, when i was walking to my car the other day, my window was smashed and it was completely trashed
Olivia:
and this stopped you because?

Olivia is shocked, but not completely shocked, meaning she has been through this once before

Olivia closes the door, and goes upstairs to Brad's room

Int. Brad's Room
Olivia opens his door and sees Brad sitting on his bed, looking at his phone
Olivia:
What the hell is wrong with you?
Brad:
What did i do?
Olivia:
Why did you break into Zach's car
Brad:
He's a bad guy Olivia
Olivia:
How exactly?
Brad:
You didn't know him in elementary, the kid was evil
Olivia:
that was elementary? grow the fuck up
Brad:
He is just gonna hurt you, exactly like the other guys you have been "friends" with
Eli walks in, curious as to what's happening
Eli:
What is going on in here?
Olivia(to Eli):
Brad broke into Zach's car
Eli(to Brad):
Brad, why would you do that?
Brad:
Dad, I'm just trying to protect Olivia
Eli:
So breaking into someone's car is protecting her?
Brad:
He isn't good enough for Olivia
Olivia:
you don't get to decide who i can and can't hang out with
Olivia storms out and heads back downstairs
Eli:
From now on, leave Zach alone and if something like this happens again, you will be grounded but for now, you will be paying for the damages
Brad:
how do you suggest i do that?
Eli:
I don't know, get a job, jesus Brad your almost an adult start acting like it
Eli walks out, leaving Brad in his room, he looks out the window and sees Zach and Olivia talking again
Cut to:
We slide into this conversation, Zach is by his car, about to leave
Ext. Olivia's House - Same
Olivia:
Sorry if my brother caused you any trouble
Zach:
it's fine, I kinda understand where he is coming from
Olivia:
How?
Zach:
He is a brother just looking after his sister, even if he takes things a little too far
Olivia:
You know, we can still study if you want?
Zach:
I wish i could, but i got a few errands to run
Olivia:
Oh
Zach:
But, you can come over to my house tonight and we can study, only if you want to?
Olivia:
Considering that my brother probably hates me, I would like to get out of the house for a few
Zach:
Sounds great, i just gotta run it by my dad
Olivia:
just text me the address and if plans change, let me know
Zach:

Olivia starts to head back into her house, as soon as she closes the door, Zach drives off, letting out a little victory smile

Int. Jacob's House - Afternoon
Jacob, Ryan and Aaron are sitting in the living room, Ryan has his computer on the table, while Jacob and Aaron are setting up microphones
Ryan:
Tell me again why we are doing this?
Jacob:
We need something to do, this could be our rise to popularity
Ryan:
or our downfall and we will be ridiculed by everyone in school
Aaron:

Int. Zach's House - Afternoon
Zach walks into his house and sets his keys down, it's a nice little area, room is decorated with pictures of his family and he goes into the kitchen
Zach:
Dad, you home?
he hears a reply in the garage, he goes in there to find Matt Rosemann, on the floor working on his most prized possession, his mustang
Zach:
Still workin on her?
Matt:
Yep, pass me the wrench, will ya?
Zach grabs the wrench from the toolbox and hands it to his dad
Matt:

Zach:
No problem, listen is it ok if someone came over? We got a test coming up and she needs help studying
Matt:
Yea sure, just-- Wait, a girl?
Zach:
Yeah? is that a problem?
Matt rolls from under the car, baffled, and he gets up and grabs Zach's
Matt:
My boy is all grown up
Confused about what's happening, he nervously laughs
Zach:
So, was that a yes?
Matt:

Zach hugs his dad and starts to leave
Zach:

Int. Brad's Room - Night
Olivia is gone from the house, Brad is sitting in his room, talking on the phone with someone
Brad:
Look, if we do this, you gotta promise to take the fall
Voice:
Are you sure you wanna do this?
Brad:
Yes, he needs to learn a little lesson
