Int. Zach's Room - Night
it is now night, Zach and Olivia are sitting at his desk, studying
Olivia:
Why does Geometry have to be so hard?
Zach laughs
Zach:
What are you having trouble with?
Olivia:
I don't get it, how can you divide fractions and turn it into a decimal?
Zach:
Oh, that's easy, The easiest way to convert a fraction to a decimal is to divide the numerator (the top of the fraction) by the denominator (the bottom of the fraction) by using a calculator. The resulting answer will be the value of the fraction expressed as a decimal number.
Olivia:
You know, sometimes i wonder if your just secretly a robot
Zach(robotic):
How did you know?
They both laugh, and smile at each other, Olivia leans closer to Zach and just as their about to kiss, Zach pulls away
Olivia:
What's wrong?
Zach scratches his head
Zach:
I, uh... never really kissed anyone before
Olivia:
Oh
Zach:
Yeah, that's usually the big turn off about me, you probably find that embarrassing
Olivia (reassures):
No, No, No, that isn't embarrassing at all
Zach:

Olivia:
Yeah, it's perfectly normal, it's what makes us human
Zach:
well, this got a little less awkward
Olivia laughs, and grabs his hand
Olivia:
i understand if you're not ready for this type of relationship yet and it's ok to be nervous
Zach:
But what if i don't live up to your expectations?
Olivia:
Let's find out
Olivia pulls zach in and kisses him, he pulls her in passionately and they open their eyes
Olivia:
That was...Really good
Zach:
Really?
Olivia:
Yeah
They both smile, Olivia reaches for her phone and checks the time: it's 9:45
Olivia (cont'd):
shit, i gotta go, I'm supposed to be home by 10
Zach:
I'll grab my keys
Cut to:
Ext. Olivia's House - Same
Zach pulls in to Olivia's driveway, and parks
they sit there for a moment, looking at each other
Olivia leans in and kisses Zach again, they both smile
Zach:
i guess I'll see you tomorrow?
Olivia:
Yeah
Olivia gets out of his car and Zach yells out his window
Zach:
Hey
Olivia turns around
Olivia:
Yeah?
Zach:
is this like a official thing?
Olivia laughs
Olivia:
Only if you want it to be
Olivia enters her house and closes the door, Zach begins to pull out, smiling and drives off
Smash To:
Int. School Hallway - Morning
Zach is walking down the hallway, a little pep in his step and he walks towards Jacob, who is putting stuff in his locker
Jacob:
You look happy? what's the occasion
Zach leans against the lockers, with a smile on his face
Zach:
My friend, I might be the most happiest person alive
Jacob:
So i take it you and Olivia are...
Zach:
Yep
Jacob:
I'm happy for ya, buddy
Zach:
Thanks
Jacob:
So how did Brad react to this?
Zach:
Olivia didn't tell him
Jacob:
that's not good
Zach:
Eh, he'll be fine, how is the podcast thing going?
Jacob:
really great, we recorded our first episode yesterday and Aaron is editing it
Zach:
That's great
the bell rings and they go to their respective classes
Cut to:
Int. Mr Norris's class - Same
the class is working on a paper when a hall monitor walks in and hands Norris a slip
Norris:
Zach, you are needed in the guidance office
Zach looks up and looks at Olivia, confused and he gets up with his stuff
Olivia(whispers):
I'll see you at lunch
Zach nods and follows the Hall Monitor down the hallway
Zach:
So why am i needed?
The hall monitor stops and two boys grab and pull zach into the bathroom, where Brad is waiting
Int. School Bathroom - Same
Zach:
What the fuck
Brad:
Wanna know what happens when you fuck with somebody like me?
Zach:
Not really
Brad runs and kicks Zach's leg and a loud SNAP happens
Zach falls to the floor, in agony, Brad bends down
Brad:
That's just the beginning
Brad picks Zach up and throws him against the wall, punching him several times and throws him back on the floor
Zach, now bleeding on the side of his head tries to crawl but Brad puts his foot on his broken leg
Brad:
Grab his arm
Boy #1:
What?
Brad:
Just do it
Boy #1 holds Zach's arm up and Brad grabs it
Zach:
Brad, please stop
Brad:
Too late for that
Brad TWISTS Zach's arm until a bone pops out, Zach is screaming bloody murder and Brad walks over him just as the bell rings
Brad:
Let's go
They leave Zach, who is now against the wall in pain
Cut to:
Int. School Hallway - Same
Jacob sees Brad and his goons leave the bathroom and he goes inside to find Zach, A beaten and bloody mess, Jacob gasps and runs to his friends aid
int. Bathroom - Same
Jacob:
Jesus, Zach what happened?
Zach(Crying):
Brad jumped me and broke my fucking arm and leg
Jacob:
I'll call an ambulance
Jacob runs off, leaving Zach in the bathroom, his eyes slowly close
