Zach wakes up, he looks at his arm, it's in a cast, and he looks at his leg, which is hoisted in the air, he looks around the room and sees his dad, sitting by his side with his head in his hands
Int. Hospital Room - Afternoon
Zach:
Dad
Matt looks up, and a smile forms on his face
Matt:
Hey buddy, your awake
Zach:
Where am i?
Matt:
do you not remember?
Zach shakes his head no
Matt (cont'd):
You were stretchered out of school after Jacob found you bleeding in the bathroom
Zach:
What day is it?
Matt:
Wednesday
Zach:
oh, thank god
Matt:
Zach, you were out for an entire week
Zach:
What?
Matt:
They said if Jacob never found you, you could've died
Zach sits there, trying to hold tears back, his dad gets up and hugs him
Zach:
Can you hand me my phone?
Matt:
of course
Matt grabs his phone and hands it to him, he looks on his messages, his most recent one being from Olivia: Hope you feel better
Matt(Cont'd):
You know, that Olivia girl stopped by here everyday to check on you
Olivia knocks on the door and Matt opens it, Zach forms a smile on his face
Olivia:
Hey, your up
She goes to hug Zach and sits in the chair
Matt:
I'll be right outside
Matt exits and closes the door
Zach:
I'm so glad to see you
Olivia:
I'm glad your alive
Zach:
your probably gonna hate me for what I'm about to say
Olivia:

Zach:
The day that i was attacked, it was Brad
Olivia:

Sheriff Louis Carter is sitting at his desk, sipping a cup of coffee when a deputy barges in
Deputy:

Louis:
What is it Daniels?
Daniels:
A girl knows something about that school fight
Louis looks up, concerned
Louis:
Bring her in
Olivia walks in, and sits down in a chair
Louis:
What do you know?
Olivia:
I know who did it, Sheriff
Louis:
Who?
Olivia:
Brad Moore
Louis:
Where is he now?
Cut to:
Int. Olivia's house - Afternoon
Brad is sitting in the living room, watching tv when he hears a knock at the door
Brad:
Who is it?
Brad gets up and opens the door, Police tackle him and flip him on his back

what's going on?
Sheriff Louis walks in and stands over Brad
Louis:
Brad Moore, you are under arrest for assault and battery
Cut to:
Zach, watching the news on the TV with his dad
Reporter(V.O):
Local Okeechobee resident Brad Moore has been arrested for the assault on a teenage boy that took place last week--
Zach:
Holy Shit, she did it
Zach cracks a smile, relieved that this whole thing is finally over

Int. School Parking Lot - Morning
Zach gets out of his dad's car, now has a brace on his leg along with a different cast on his hand
Zach:
Thanks dad, I'll see you later
Matt:
Have a good day son
Zach closes the door and walks towards Jacob and Ryan
Jacob:
Holy shit
Ryan:
Welcome back, buddy
Zach:
it is good to be back
Olivia runs up to Zach and hugs him
Olivia:
Wasn't expecting you to come
Zach:
Eh, I wanted to surprise you
Olivia kisses Zach, making Jacob and Ryan uncomfortable
Jacob:
We'll just leave you two be
Jacob and Ryan walk away and the bell rings, Zach and Olivia walk to class holding hands
