A month has passed and it is now October, and It is Zach's birthday, Olivia goes to Jacob and Ryan
Ext. Schoolyard - Morning
Olivia:
hey guys
Jacob:
Hey Olivia, where's Zach?
Olivia:
He isn't here yet, i need to know if yall are comin to the party tonight that I'm throwing for him since it's his birthday
Jacob:
Yeah, where is it going to be at?
Olivia:
At his house, I've been talking to his dad about this for weeks, don't mention anything to him, it's a surprise
Jacob:
so, what are you going to do when he goes home today?
Olivia:
That's easy, my dad will be picking him up and will keep him busy until we're ready
Jacob:
When does it start
Olivia:
Right after school, meet me and his dad will pick us up
Jacob:
Sounds like a plan, here he comes
Olivia:

Zach walks up
Zach:
Hey guys, what's up?
Olivia:
Hi, what are you doing here?
Zach:
I always come to school at this time, what's going on?
Jacob:
Nothing, we were discussing--
Ryan:
The next podcast episode
Olivia:
Yes, and they were asking if they could interview my dad
Zach:
Really?
Jacob:
Yes, but he said no so that plan is cancelled
all 3 nervously laugh
Zach:
Why are you guys acting weird?
Olivia:
We're not, we should head to first period
Zach:

Olivia and Zach walk off to class
Int. Mr. Norris's Room - Morning
Once again, the class is working on a project when a hall monitor walks in and hands Norris a slip
Norris:
Zachary, you are needed in the guidance office
Zach's heart drops, he nervously walks towards Norris and grabs the slip and exits the room

Int. School Hallway - Same
He walks behind the Hall Monitor and stops
Zach:
Alright cut the shit, what do you want?
The hall monitor turns around and points at the bathroom, the same bathroom that he was beat up in
he enters the bathroom and sees the two boys that were with Brad and he stops in his tracks
Int. School Bathroom - Same
Zach:
Who the hell are you guys?
Boy #1:
We didn't mean for that to go down the way it did, he just told us he was gonna beat you up
Zach(holds up his arm): well he did a lot more than that, what's your point
Boy #2: we want to apologize
Zach:
Don't take this the wrong way, but I don't need an apology from you two
Boy #1: That's Reasonable, My name is Ben
Ben holds out his hand and Zach reluctantly shakes it
Zach(to Boy #2):

Boy #2:

Zach shakes Chris's hand
Zach:
So what now?
Ben:

Zach begins to walk away but immediately turns around
Chris:
What's wrong?
Zach:
well, the last time i was in here, i got ambushed and nearly killed so I'm just taking a precaution
Ben:

Zach walks out and goes back to class, right when the bell rings

Zach is sitting alone waiting for Olivia when he sees Olivia, Ryan, Jacob sitting together and talking
Zach:
What the hell
Aaron sits with Zach
Aaron:
Did they abandon you too?
Zach:
No, they're planning something, i can feel it

Ext. Lunch Room - Same
Olivia, Ryan and Jacob are discussing birthday plans while Olivia looks at zach
Olivia:
I feel bad

Why
Olivia:
He probably thinks we abandoned him or something
Jacob:
it'll all be worth it tonight, we gotta stay focused
Olivia:
I'm at least gonna go talk to him
Olivia gets up and heads towards Zach, who acts like he wasn't watching

Olivia:
mind giving us the table, Aaron?
Aaron:
yeah, no problem
he gets up and leaves from the table
Olivia:

Zach:
Yeah, I'm fine
Olivia:
I'm sorry for being distant all day
Zach:

Olivia:
how is your day going so far?
Zach:
well, for starters the kids that helped brad apologized to me this morning
Olivia:
Holy shit, that's huge
Zach:
yeah, but other than that, it's been average, how about you?
Olivia:
it's been pretty busy

Olivia:
um,...well...I had a test in my science class

Olivia:

Zach cracks a smile for the first time today

They grab each others hand, the bell rings and they get up

Int. Chemistry Class - Afternoon
Zach and Jacob are sitting together, working on their computers

What are you three up to?
Jacob:
What are you talking about?
Zach:
you, Ryan, and Olivia have been acting strange all day and i want to know why

Zach:
I guess we'll find out soon enough
the bell rings and they leave class, Zach waits for his dad but Eli arrives to pick him up
Ext. School Parking Lot
Eli rolls down his window
Eli:
Zach, get in
Zach bends down
Zach:
Mr. Moore?
Eli:
Your dad got caught up at work and he wanted me to pick you up
Zach gets in the car
Zach:
This day keeps getting weirder and weirder
Olivia watches her dad drive off and signals for Jacob and Ryan
Olivia:
Come on, let's go
Matt pulls into the parking lot and the trio hops in

Int. Eli's Car - Afternoon
Zach is looking out the window and he turns to Eli
Zach:
Mr. Moore, what is going on?
Eli:
What are you talking about?
Zach:
My girlfriend and my friends have been avoiding me all day and I don't know why
Eli:
Just relax, I'll take you home
Zach:
That's funny, because we've been driving in a circle for an hour and a half
wideshot of the car going in a circle

Olivia, Jacob, Ryan, and Matt setting up decorations and Matt grabs a cake out of the fridge

Olivia hears a knock on the door, 20 people including Aaron are at the door

Aaron:
Zach told me today was his birthday so i pretty much told everyone i saw
Ryan:

The guests pile into the house
Olivia:

Jacob:
Ready
Ryan:
Ready

Ready
Aaron and the 20 guests (in unison):
Ready
Olivia:
Alright, let's do this
Olivia pulls out her phone and texts her dad

Eli getting the text
Eli:
Alright, now its time to take you home
Zach(annoyed):
About time
Cut to:
Olivia sees Eli and Zach pull into the driveway
Olivia:
Alright, everybody get into your position, Jacob cut the lights
Jacob:
You got it boss
The lights dim
Eli and Zach are right outside the door
Eli:
You go first
Zach:
Ok
Zach opens the door and turns on the lights
Everyone:
SURPRISE
Zach jumps out of his skin and is shocked, He gets his footing and Olivia walks up to him
Olivia:
Happy Birthday, Zach
Zach:
I should've known
Zach walks towards everybody and hugs his dad
Matt:
Happy Birthday, Son
Zach is blown away, he can't believe that all of this is happening, he looks around the room and sees everyone he cares about: Olivia, Jacob, Ryan, his dad, Eli, and Aaron
the room quiets down, giving Zach an opportunity to speak
Zach:
Guys, this might be the most weirdest yet wonderful day of my life, thank you
Matt lights the candles that says 16 on them and they all sing happy birthday in unison and he blows out the candles
Cut to:
Hours after the party, almost everyone has gone home except for Olivia, Jacob, Ryan, Aaron and they all sit on the couch with Zach
Ryan:
Aaron, i still can't believe you invited all of those people
Aaron:
well, I wanted to help my friend
Zach:
And for that Aaron, you are officially a oart of the friend group
Aaron:
Really?
Jacob:
Yeah, welcome aboard buddy
Aaron:
Thanks guys
Olivia pokes Zach and leans over to whisper something in his ear
Zach:
Excuse me guys, me and Olivia gotta talk
they both get up and go to his room
int. Zach's room
Zach closes the door and turns to Olivia
Olivia:
So did you like it?
Zach:
It was incredible
Olivia:
I wanted to give you this during the oarty but never found the right time to sneak off and grab it
Olivia pulls a box out from under his bed and hands it to him
Zach:
What's this?
Olivia:
Open it
Zach opens the box and it's a snowglobe, with a picture of him and Olivia on their first date with engraved writing saying: "a night we'll never forget"
Zach:
How did you--
Olivia:
I told your dad to take a picture of us that night and he knows a guy that put it in there and the night we'll never forget part is the same night where we-- well you know
Zach:
I love it, Thank you
Olivia:

Zach puts down the snowglobe and they kiss, the camera pans over to the snowglobe and fades to black
