After some time flying, the helicopters arrived at a location ressembling a junkyard filled with abandonned buildings, derelict shops and rusting cars & buses. This scene reminded Reese of Muscatatuck Urban Training Center in Indiana, where she and her fellow US Marines had previously trained with British Royal Marines in urban warfare tactics against a near peer enemy. Now, in Genovia, Reese and her fellow US Marines would now train alongside their British allies against a near-peer enemy. But this time, it would be against a superior foe with intimate knowledge of the terrain, like in Muscatatuck.

Suddenly, just as the helicopters began landing, Reese looked through the ramp and saw the lighter armed helicopters circling around the area and understood the heavier Merlin and King Stallion birds would be landing. And soon, two minutes after the gunships began circling around the area, the CH-53Ks and AW-101s landed, allowing Reese and her fellow troops to disembark and run towards cover. In a mere seconds, the helicopters took off and joined their escort before flying back to base.

That done, the British commander said, "Okay lads. Now our objective is to cross the junkyard. But do it slow. We don't know what's waiting for us there."

Major Cummings then stressed, "Totally it. Watch out for corners, watch out for windows and watch out for shadows. Remember, we have M27s and M4s. So put them to good use and do it slow. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. Any question?"

Seeing no one had anything to ask, Cummings and the British officer then took the lead and went into the junkyard while Reese and the other troops followed, carefully scanning the area for any signs of snipers while sticking to the buildings, since they all knew walking in the middle of the street meant death. Reese knew this too well and walked towards a door before walking sideways in a circular pattern while keeping her M4A1 carbine aimed at the door. Other US Marines and British Royal Marines then proceeded with the buildings before Reese kicked the door open, allowing a British Royal Marine to toss a M84 stun grenade inside. Once the grenade went off, the US Marines and their British allies ran into the building and began clearing it. Needless to say, their rifles were loaded with blank rounds, since the opposing forces were a Genovian platoon.

Just as Reese and the other friendlies took a building, they left a small number of troops behind on the rooftop before jumping on the next one, preventing the Genovian soldiers from flanking them and forcing the Genovian OPFOR to search for the allies. Reese then saw a group of Genovian soldiers walking in the street, as did other US and British forces. Reese didn't wait for the signal and fired her M4A1 carbine and "mowed down" a Genovian soldier, followed another hail of simulated gunfire by US Marines and British Royal Marines. Just then, a Genovian officer came into view and motioned everyone to stop firing. Reese, her fellow US Marines and the British Royal Marines ceased firing and ran down towards said officer.

Just as the allies forces arrived, the Genovian officer said, "Well done, guys. Well done. You flanked us by passing onto the rooftops and took the most vulnerable points of our defensive line, forced our troops to flee and look for you, effectively turning the tide against us. Well done. You beat us fair and square. But our new setting will be in fully urbanized environment, versus the suburban one we saw."

The British officer said, "Good. But let's not rest on our laurels. Let's get to the next scenario. But watch our fire out there, since we'll be in the big city."

Major Cummings then said, "Remember your training and the safety rules regarding blank-firing weapons. We'll be training in civilian-filled environment, so watch out. Any question?"

Since no one had any question, Reese put her helmet on her head before everyone everyone did the same before walking towards the city. But this time, it would be only American and British forces only, since Genovian troops would be securing a very important event, not part of the exercise. Reese then breathed out of relief, since she knew she wouldn't be babysitting anyone. And she would be proven right.

Meanwhile, at Joey Brigman's bar, Owen and Lex were playing chess while Barry himself was discussing upcoming events with Joey. They had been vhatting for hours when Owen's sister Sonja came into the bar alongside Tricia, Greg and Sophie. The quartet then walked towards the counter, where they stopped and ordered four beers. Owen and Lex then motioned the others to join them before Barry, Joey, Tricia, Greg, Sophie and Sonja sat on the table, where they laid their bottles of beer.

"So, how's our niece?" Sonja asked.

"Well, I heard she currently was with her girl scout group. And I also do know many boy and girl scouts will be meeting here as part of a scouting jamboree." Owen replied to his younger sister.

Lex then sighed and said, "Just great. Boy and girl scouts are a bunch of idealistic kids who believe the military is a useless organization. They say peace over war."

"True. But it depends on what army sucks the most." Greg announced.

Everyone then chuckled before several civilians named Lena, Annie, Dave, Luke, Mary, Cassy, Sully and Hannah came into Joey's bar. The group of civilians then sat at tables before ordering some drinks and alcoholic beverages. And when Joey brought said drinks, it happened the only alcoholic beverage Joey tolerated was beer, alongside other drinks like Pepsi, soda and apple juice. Suddenly, Lilly Moscovitz barged into Joey's bar panting. Joey and the others helped Lilly sit down and regain composure before she could speak.

"Guys, guys! You won't believe what I'll say. I... I saw British and American Marines packing plate carriers, helmets, laser detectors and M4s fitted with laser device. It... It appears they're here to train for real-life warfare! And they're opposing soldiers all dressed in vintage Algeria War uniforms!" Lilly announced.

Upon hearing this, everyone rushed outside and saw Reese, some of her fellow US Marines and several British Royal Marines running from cover to cover while others provided cover fire before Reese and the others stopped. Just as the others began running, Reese took cover behind a table at Joey's bar before opening fire with her M4A1 carbine while several US Marines ran past her. One of them then tapped Reese's helmet before taking cover and opening fire. Reese then jumped over the table and ran towards a parked car before opening fire.

"Did I just see Reese? Wearing a US Marine uniform?" Sonja asked.

Owen then told, "Yep. And she and the Brits in brown aren't here for vacation like we are."

Owen was right since he, his sister Sonja, Lex, their friends and the civilians were wearing shorts and tees with either sandals or light canvas shoes while Reese, her fellow US Marines and the British Royal Marines were wearing a camouflage uniform complete with body armor, helmet and heavy Coyote-Brown-dyed combat boots. Sophie and Tricia then remarked the persons wearing Lizard-camouflaged uniforms were actually OpFor troops impersonating either Chinese, Russian or North Korean troops, confirming Lilly's assertion that the US Marines and their British counterparts were training alongside each other in anticipation of any war.
