Int. Prison Visiting Room - Morning
We pick up right where we left off last episode, Olivia is sitting across from Brad, who is stil shocked
Brad:
Why are you here?
Olivia:
I just wanted to catch up, how are things?
Brad:
They could be better, how are things between you and Zach?
Olivia:
Like you care, you nearly killed him
Brad:
Please, I genuinely want to know
Olivia can sense the sincerity in his voice, she lightens up
Olivia:
Things are great, he's a really great guy
Brad:
Look, what i did that day was a little out of line--
Olivia:
A little? You almost killed him? and for what? So you can "protect" me
Brad:
If this leads to you saying "stay away from me" don't bother, Dad came a couple months ago and told me i wasn't allowed to go near you, Zach, or him
Olivia:
And if you do?
Brad:
He was gonna make sure I stayed in here a whole lot longer than 2 years
Olivia:
Here's something i don't get, what were you trying to accomplish by attacking Zach?
Brad doesn't answer, he looks at the wall
Olivia:
that's what I thought
Olivia stands up and leaves the room

Olivia walks to Zach's car, he looks at her
Zach:
I'm guessing it didn't go well?
Olivia:
No it didn't, we should probably head to school
Zach drives off

Int. Chemistry Class - Afternoon
Zach is sitting with Jacob, who is also sitting with Abby
Zach:
I took Olivia to see Brad this morning
Jacob:
How did it go?
Zach:
Well, she came out crying so im guessing not well
Jacob:
Damn, it's that bad huh?
Zach:
She has been distant lately, and we barely have had a full conversation together
Abby:
She just needs space, give her sometime, she'll come around
Zach:
I know that, it's just... I feel like all of this is all my fault, sometimes i think if i never walked up to her on the first day of school, none of this would be happening
Jacob:
None of this is your fault Zach, you didn't ask to get attacked by Brad that day, he brought it onto himself
Zach:
I guess your right
Jacob:
Besides, if you never started dating Olivia, i wouldn't of met Abby at your party
The bell rings and everyone leaves to go to the parking lot
Zach is walking down the hallway, when he bumps into Ben, who doesn't realize it's Zach
Ben:
Hey, watch where you're--
He realizes it's Zach
Ben(Cont'd):
Oh, sorry man
Zach:
It's fine
Ben:
You alright
Zach:
Yeah, are you?
Ben:
Yeah, i see you finally got those casts off
Zach:
Yeah, it feels good to be able to walk on my own again
Ben:
You seem like you have a lot on your mind, wanna talk about it?
Zach:
No offense, but i don't really know you that well
Ben:
Come on man, I want to help and it seems like all your friends are busy
Zach:
Eh, What the hell, let's talk
Ben:
Cool, where are you heading?
Cut To:
Int. Olivia's House - Afternoon
Olivia arrives at her house, notices her dad is home amd approaches him in the kitchen
Eli:
Oh, Olivia, I thought you were with Zach?
Olivia:
No, I wanted to spend time with you today
Eli:
Well what's on your mind, honey?
Olivia:
I went to go visit Brad this morning
Eli turns around, shocked
Eli:
Why?
Olivia:
I wanted an answer as to why he did what he did
Eli:
What did he tell you?
Olivia:
Nothing, he said the same thing he always says, to protect me
Eli:
I'm sorry sweetie
Olivia:
I just want answers
Olivia starts to cry, Eli hugs her and she buries her head into his shoulder
Eli:
Is this why your not with Zach, honey?
Olivia lifts her head and nods
Olivia:
I love him, dad but everytime I'm near him I get this sense that i was the reason he ended up half dead in a bathroom
Eli:
Olivia, what happened that day wasn't yours or Zach's fault, now i don't know why Brad did what he did but i do know that you don't need to blame yourself for what happened and neither does Zach
Olivia rubs her eyes
Olivia:
Your right, I'm gonna go call Zach and tell him to meet me at the boardwalk
Olivia walks off
Eli:
Olivia, wait
Olivia stops and turns around
Olivia:
Yeah?
Eli tosses his car keys towards her and she catches them
Eli:
be careful, ok?
Olivia:
I will
Olivia walks out of the house
Cut to:
Int. Coffee Shop - Evening
Ben and Zach are sitting at a table, drinking coffee
Zach:
She told me right before we pulled into school that she needed some time to think after school and like a good boyfriend I'm giving her space
Ben:
Well, I don't know anything about that but I do know--
Zach's phone rings, it's Olivia
Zach:
Speaking of, mind if i take this?
Ben:
Yeah, no problem
Zach gets up and walks outside and answers the phone
Ext. Coffee Shop
Zach:
Hey, What's up?
Olivia (v.o):
hey, do you think you can meet me at the boardwalk, like now?
Zach:
Yeah, I'll be there
Olivia:
Ok
Zach:
I love you
Olivia:
I love you too
She hangs up and he walks back inside
Int. Coffee Shop
Zach:
Sorry Ben, I gotta go, here's my half of the check
Zach puts down 20 dollars, grabs his jacket and leaves, Ben is baffled
Cut To:
Int. Zach's Car
Zach is driving down the road, he goes iver a highway into the parking lot of the pier, he gets out of his car and walks up to see Olivia, staring out into the ocean, she turns around and sees Zach walking up
Int. Boardwalk - Night
Zach:
Hi
Olivia:
Hi
Zach:
How did you get here?
Olivia:
My dad gave me his car
Zach:
So, why are we out here?
Olivia:
I did some thinking
Zach:
What were you thinking about?
Olivia:
Us
Zach:
What about us?
Olivia:
I realized that I can't push you away when i need someone to talk to
Olivia grabs Zach's shirt, she begins to cry
Zach:
Olivia, I'm here, okay, and I'll be here for you as long as you want
Zach wraps his arms around Olivia, she buries her face into his shoulder
She finally let's it out, months of frustration and Zach hugs her tighter
Olivia:
I'm so scared, Zach
Zach:
It's ok, as long as I'm here, i won't let anyone hurt you
Zach kisses the top of her head and she looks up at him
Olivia:
Can you stay with me tonight?
Zach:
Of course I will
She smiles and kisses him softly
Fade to:
Int. Brad's Cell - Night
Brad is laying on his bed, just as he's about to go to sleep, his bunkmate, Gus calls his name
Gus (Whispers):
Yo, Brad, you awake?
Brad:
I am now
Gus:
listen, me and Terry are planning something big and we need a third man, you interested?
Brad:
It depends, What's the plan?
Gus:
We're busting out of here
