Gus wakes up and finds Brad missing
Gus:
Brad? where'd you go?
He gets up and looks all around the house, he can't find him anywhere
Gus:
Where did that boy go?
He goes over to the table and finds the gun and phone missing, Gus laughs
Gus:
That little shit left me
Brad RUNS BEHIND HIM AND STABS HIM IN THE BACK, Gus turns around, he is shocked
Brad:
You know, you were right
he pushes Gus into the wall, pushing the knife further into his back
Brad (Cont'd):
when you got to survive, you gotta do everything in your power to stay alive
Gus falls to the floor, dead, Brad stands over him, he pulls the knife out of his back and leaves the house, the camera focuses on Gus's corpse

Zach wakes up to his phone ringing, he picks it up, it's Jacob, he exits Olivia's room and answers the phone
Int. Hospital Hallway
Zach:
Jacob, hey
Jacob (V.O):
Oh thank god, I've been trying to call you for 3 DAYS man
Zach:
Sorry, a lot of shit went down, I've been a little busy
Jacob:
Yeah, I saw on the news, how is Olivia?
Zach:
She's doing a lot better, waking up more frequently
Jacob:
Thank god
Zach:
Hey, can you do me a favor?
Jacob:
Yeah, buddy?
Zach:
is it possible to hack my dad's phone?
Jacob:
Why?
Zach:
After Olivia got shot, my dad lost his phone and thinks Brad might've took it
Jacob:
and you want me to track it?
Zach:
Yes
Jacob:
I can try but it might take me a couple days
Zach:

Jacob:
Wait, why do you want me to track it?
Zach:
Because I'm going to find Brad, and make sure he gets what's coming to him
Jacob:
I don't think revenge is the best option, man
Zach:
You weren't there, man, when Olivia got shot, it felt like I was losing my mom all over again, I know how weird that sounds
Jacob:
Yeah, but revenge? that isn't like you, Zach
Zach:
Look around you, man, the police still haven't caught him, Olivia got shot and a deputy got killed, it's time to end this, my way

Ok, I'll track it and if i find anything useful, I'll report to you

They hang up, Zach enters Olivia's room, he sees her waking up, he closes the door and sits back down
Int. Hospital Room
Olivia:
Where did you go?
Zach:
Jacob called, I didn't want to wake you
Olivia:
What time is it?
Zach looks at his phone, it reads : 10:35 am

Olivia rubs her eyes
Olivia:
Shouldn't you be at school?
Zach:
I'm not worried about school, You're more important than that
Olivia giggles, Zach looks confused, lets out a little confused laugh
Zach:

Olivia:
That was really cheesy
Zach laughs and nods his head
Zach:
Yeah, it was
for the first time in what seems like months, they make each other laugh, almost forgetting about what's happening around them
Zach reaches over and grabs Olivia's hand
Zach:
I got a serious question
Olivia:
What?
Zach:
When all of this is over, and hypothetically, if i asked you to marry me, would you?
Olivia smiles
Olivia:
Yes
Zach smiles and rubs the tears off his eyes, he leans over and kisses Olivia on the cheek
Cut To:
Brad is in town, has a hoodie over his head, he is in a parking lot, examining everyone who leaves and enters their cars, he notices a woman getting out of her car, when he goes to try amd steal it, she pulls out a baby, this stops him in his tracks, he may be desperate, but he isn't that desperate
He notices a deputy exiting the store, Brad turns around and walks the opposite direction
Brad enters a gas station, he notices 3 cameras; one in the front entrance, one in the back area, and one that's disabled, which is usually pointed at the cashier
This is the opportunity Brad was looking for, he sees a customer leaving the store, he approaches the cashier, and reads her nameplate: Andi, he puts a bag of chips on the counter
Brad:
Hi
Andi:
Hi, is there anything else you would like?
Brad:
Yes
Brad pulls out the gun and keeps it below his waist, Andi eyes widen
Brad:
I don't want to hurt you, just empty the register, can you do that?
Andi nods and opens the register, she starts puting the money in the bag, she hands Brad the money
Brad:
Do you have a car?
Andi nods and tosses him the keys
Andi:
It's in the back
Brad:
Thank you for cooperating
As Brad walks to the back, Andi's coworker Ben comes out of the bathroom
Ben:
Andi, did we get those new--
he turns the corner and sees Brad, who freezes in place, they have a standoff
Ben:
Brad?
Brad:
Hey, Ben
Ben:
Andi, call the police
Brad turns to Andi
Brad:
Andi, don't do that
Ben:
Andi, push the button
Andi pushes the button and Brad tries to run, Ben tackles him, which makes Brad drop the gun and it slides towards Andi
The boys have a tussle before Brad pulls out the knife and holds it to Ben's neck, which stops him in his tracks
Brad gets up and holds Ben hostage
Brad:
Now, I don't want to hurt anyone, just let me go and we can all live to see another day
Andi and Ben nod, and Brad pushes him away and bolts out of the back door, Andi walks towards Ben
Andi:
Are you ok?
Ben:
I gotta talk to someone

Int. Hospital Room - Afternoon
Olivia is sleeping, Zach is sitting in the chair, working on something on his phone that we don't see, he gets a call, it's an unknown number, he steps out and answers it
int. Hospital Hallway
Zach:
Hello?
Voice:
Is this Zach?
Zach:
Yeah, who is this?
Voice:
It's Ben
Zach:
Oh shit, sorry man, what's up?
Ben:
We got robbed
Zach:
What do you mean?
Ben:
Someone came into my work and robbed us
Zach:
Who did it?
Ben:
You might already know
Zach realizes who it was, looks around so nobody can hear what he says
Zach:
Ben, where did he go?
Ben:
He took my coworkers car, he didn't tell us where he was going
Zach:
Does it have a tracker of any kind?
Ben:
Yeah, but only the dealership can track it, why?
Zach:
No reason, stay safe, Alright?

They hang up, Zach scrolls through his contacts and stops at Sheriff Louis
Cut To:
Sheriff Louis is in his office, looking at past reports, he notices his phone rings and picks it up and answers
Int. Louis's Office
Louis:
This is Louis
the camera cuts back and forth during the conversation
Zach:
Sheriff, my friend was robbed at his work
Louis:
Yes, I know
Zach:
Did he tell you who did it?
Louis:
No, he was shaken up and we didn't want to question him yet, why?
Zach:
Sheriff, it was Brad
Louis rubs his head
Louis:
What else did he tell you?
Zach:
he told me that Brad took his co-worker's car
Louis writes this down on a paper
Zach (cont'd):
He also told me that the dealership she got it from put a tracker in the car
Louis finishes writing it down
Louis:
is that all?
Zach:
That's all he told me
Louis:
This really helps, kid, thanks
Zach:
No problem
Louis:
You know, when you get out of school, you should join the academy, we could really use someone like you
Zach:
I really appreciate the offer, I might just take you up on that
Louis laughs, so does Zach
Louis:
Alright kid, take care
They hang up, Zach is a little proud of himself, he dials Jacob

Int. Jacob's Room
Jacob is on his computer, we see that he is almost done tracking Matt's phone, he sees Zach is calling, he answers
Jacob:
Yeah
The camera also switches back and forth during the conversation
Zach:
How is the tracking coming along?
Jacob:
Well, for starters, it was pretty easy considering your dad doesn't have a password on the thing
Zach laughs
Zach:
He doesn't know how to put it on there
Jacob laughs
Jacob:
Anyway, I was able to track him and his last location was at a store in the middle of town, then he started moving
Zach:
That's when he robbed the store and took the car
Jacob:
Now, he's-- Wait, he stole a fucking car? How do you know that?
Zach:
Jacob, back on track please
Jacob:
Sorry, he stopped at a house just outside of town
Zach:
Ok, thanks
Jacob:
No problem, hey Zach?
Zach:
Yeah?
Jacob pauses for a moment
Jacob:
Be careful, man, I don't want to see another friend in the Hospital
Zach nods
Zach:
I'll try, man
They hang up and Zach thinks for a moment, he goes back into Olivia's Room, who is awake now
Int. Hospital Room
Olivia:
He called again?
Zach:
No, it was someone else, actually a couple people
Olivia examines Zach as he sits down, he notices her staring
Zach:
What?
Olivia:
What are you not telling me, Zach?
Zach:
What do you mean?
Olivia:
Come on Zach, I know that look, what are you not telling me?
Zach sighs and turns to Olivia
Zach:
Promise not to get mad?
Olivia:
Depending on what it is, yes
Zach takes a deep breath
Zach:
The day you got shot... when all of that was happening, Brad and his friend ran off with my dad's phone
Olivia:
Ok
Zach:
So, I asked Jacob if he could track it
Olivia:
Ok, did he?
Zach:
Yes, and a little while later, a store was robbed in the middle of town, it was Brad
Olivia gasps
Zach (Cont'd):
But what he didn't know is that the car has a tracker in it and Sheriff Louis is working on finding it
Olivia:
Is that all?
Zach:
No, as I was coming back in here, Jacob called me back and told me he finished tracking the phone
Olivia:
Where is he now?
Zach:
he stopped outside of town
Olivia:
and did you tell Sheriff Louis?
Zach shakes his head in a "no" motion
Zach:
I didn't tell him that my friend was helping me track him
Olivia:
Zach, you have to tell him
Zach:
Olivia, I can't
Olivia:
Why not?
Zach:
Because if i told him and if he asks how i got that information, I would be arrested
Olivia:
What happened to letting the police doing their job?
Zach:
Sometimes, you just gotta take matters into your own hands
Olivia:

Olivia:
So what are you going to do?
Zach:
I'm going to end this
Olivia:
Zach, think about what your saying, there has to be a better way of handling this
Zach doesn't respond, his face lightens up, like a light bulb turned on in his head

He pulls out his phone and calls Sheriff Louis, Olivia ease's up a little
Olivia:
What are you gonna do?
Zach:
The right thing
Olivia smiles and Zach holds the phone to his ear
Louis (V.O):
This is Louis
Zach:
Hey Sheriff
Louis:
Oh, hey Zach
