๐“€€Mind and Memories๐“€€

His mind was fuzzy, cloudy... That was the first thing he registered.

His vision was fuzzy too, unfocused, but everything was very bright, startlingly so.

There was Crowley, calling out BINGO, and there was Donna, watching a movie. Harrow's cult members seemed to be the nurses. Was this some sort of hospital?

What was this place?

Eva-

She was seated before him. She was dressed in an old-fashioned dress, 1920s style, her hair short in a bob. This was in stark contrast to the rest of the strange hospital-like setting.

"I know you don't like Dr. Harrow, but he really is trying to help you. But he can't if you aren't open to help yourself."

Dr. Harrow?

Another nurse appeared - but this was Layla.

"Oh - these visiting hours go by so fast." Eva stood. "Thank you, for everything."

"Of course." Layla smiled and squeezed her hand.

"Goodbye, Darling. Can I touch him - I don't want to startle him."

"Go ahead."

She placed a gentle, almost hesitant, hand on his shoulder before pressing an equally gentle kiss to his forehead. "I love you," she murmured, tears in her eyes. She was crying.

Layla led her away.

There was so much happening all around him, Marc couldn't take it all in, especially with his mind being as fuzzy as it was.

Something was wrong, that much he knew, could tell. Something was very, very wrong.

While Taweret steered the boat, the two souls headed back inside to the hall of memories. Steven was eagerly peering through every window on every door while Marc tried to ignore them all.

"Hey-" Steven was stopped before a door. "-This is you at the museum..." He promptly pushed the door open and strode through.

They quickly found themselves in the lobby. And there was Eva standing before a group of guests.

"Welcome everyone to the National Art Gallery. My name is Eva and I'll be your guide this afternoon. Now, without further ado, let's get started - follow me!"

Soon they were deep within the museum weaving through the exhibits with a tour group - well, at the end of a tour group.

"As part of the mummification process, which was a big, specific process, the Ancient Egyptians would take a hook, which they inserted through your nose, and then they would pull the brains out."

"Eww!" shrieked some of the children on the tour. Other guests looked like they thought that was pretty cool. Steven was one of them.

"Well they didn't believe your brain mattered in the afterlife. Your heart, that's what mattered, and proved whether you had lived a good, honest life. Everyone was judged, that was the job of Anubis. He would weigh one's heart on a sale opposite the feather of Ma'at. Worthy souls were sent to the Field of Reeds, t

he Afterlife, while unworthy souls were instantly devoured by the goddess Ammit."

She was positively glowing, the words pouring from her heart, from her soul. Both Marc and Steven smiled as they watched her, completely in her element, her passion shining through.

Both didn't want to leave this memory, but they were running out of time - speaking of the Afterlife and judgement of souls, they had their own scales to balance.

"Trust me, Steven," Marc warned him as Steven eagerly went to the next door. Marc stopped him, Steven's hand already on the doorknob ready to turn it and go in, face another memory. Marc suddenly looked very uncomfortable. "That's the best memory here."

Episode 5 was so hard to watch, but the acting was incredible from everyone!

I can't believe we only have one episode left! I'm not ready!

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed!
