Chapter 10: Dark Threads

The Bubble Guppies are back! They couldn't believe it! The people who had arrived are none other than Goby, Deema, Oona, and Nonny. Zooli and Urchin were surprised. Gil was a bit surprised, but he looked away, feigning indifference. There was a lot of silence, if not for a certain person.

"Guys! You are here ?!" Zooli said.

"What have you come for? We are busy" Urchin intervened.

"I ... well ... we ... have come to help you" Goby said. Gil just ignored them "Oh...G..Gil….It's been a long time ... friend" Goby greeted his old friend. He felt that he did not know with what right he had to call him friend.

"Friend? Hmpt" Gil rolled his eyes.

"Gil, we've come to help you find Molly" Oona tried to talk with him.

"Oh great! Until now you deign to help me! When were you when she disappeared? When were you when I desperately searched for her for a whole year? She is still kidnapped because of you!" Gil shouted very angry. Everyone remained in silence. Goby, Deema and Oona lowered their faces in embarrassment. They knew that he was telling the truth. "Me too!" Deema and Oona said. They were all close in better spirits. The only one who was still doubting was Gil.

"Gil ... will you accept the help of your old friends? Finding Molly ... has been your purpose all this time" Zooli asked. He was quiet.

"Ugh! (sigh) Very well. Together we will find Molly ... However, this will not make us friends again. I still haven't forgotten what they did to me" Gil said. It was a bittersweet feeling. They were together, but it was not the same. And everyone knew that.

"... Gil …" Goby tried to talk with his old best friend. Gil looks at him with contempt.

Deema and Oona would continue looking for new clues through all the news and analyzed the social circle that their friend had. One day, they were all together. Everyone commented on what they had learned. But, two people were talking about something else.

"Goby, a lot has happened and I've been thinking ... that we should reconsider our relationship" Oona said.

"What do you mean?" Goby asked.

"Our relationship is originated by our internal fight. So I think we even solve all this ... we should not continue being a couple" Oona commented.

"You're right about that, love. But ... you can't fool me. I know your real reason. You still have feelings for Nonny, don't you? You only dated me to make him jealous" Goby analyzed. Oona was surprised.

"I...I don´t know. And don't be a hypocrite. You still have feelings for Deema too" Oona faced him. Goby stayed quiet because she was right.

"Oona….I can't give you a answer….I…." Goby was trying to say something before they were interrupted.

"GUYS!" Nonny had arrived at the ex-Bubble Guppies meeting. Nonny looked impressed.

"What's up, Nonny?" Zooli asked.

"I found a key clue!" Nonny said very confident.

"Tell us now!" Gil added.

"Listen, I found a suspect. I've been analyzing something. Before our fights started, someone was writing to me. That person was casting doubts on me regarding my relationship with Oona. Interestingly, the same day the group broke up, Molly disappeared. What happened was not a coincidence, I would say ..." Nonny explained.

"Get to the point, Nonny" Gil intervened in a cold way.

"Ejem….Looks like it wasn't a normal kidnapping. It seems that someone caused everything. Our fights and the kidnapping were caused by the same person. That person used us as threads. I managed to hack my phone a bit to find out who it was …" Nonny explained a little more.

"Tell me….Where is Molly?" Gil asked with a cold tone.

"I ... I don't know what you're talking about. She disappeared long ago. I don't know anything, friend" James was scared.

"Do you really think I'm stupid? Either you are the culprit or you are an accomplice. Tell me where you are or I'll kill you myself" Gil's tone sounded a bit sadistic.

"Bonecrusher?" The rest of the guppies (who are hiding) asked. At that moment, an intimidating dog appeared. It couldn't be.

"Bubble Doggy?!" Oona and Zooli were shocked. Bubble Doggy no longer looked like a harmless dog. He had scars on his body, a spiked necklace, he had sharp teeth and had more muscle.

"Wh...what?!" James was shocked.

"Bonecrusher….bite his arm" Gil ordered.

"GRRRRRR" Bonecrusher attacked James.

"AHHHHHHH!" James screamed in fear and pain.

"Does it hurt, James? Tell me, where is she?" Gil asked again.

"I...AGH….I….I CAN…..I can take you where she is! But please leave me! It hurts!" James confessed. But Gil laughed a little.

"You´ll do it. But first ... Bonecrusher ... bite his other arm. Deeper" Gil was very evil in this part.

"What?!" James was scared.

"It hurts, doesn't it? It's not so much fun when the one who suffers is you, huh?" Gil smiled.

"STOP PLEASE. MERCY!"

"Now you ask for mercy? Molly asked you for mercy many times and you never gave it to her. Why don't you try a little of your own medicine?" Gil was crazy. Zooli intervened.

"Gil, stop! It's enough! Leave him alone. He will lead us to Molly" Zooli faced him.

"He...He...agh fine. Bonecrusher….leave him" Gil ordered. His dog just followed orders.

"Do not thank me. You deserve that and worse. Now take us where Molly is" Zooli ordered. James just shook his head and decided to obey. At that moment, the others appeared.
