Living in the Highlands
Lady Countryrose
Ch. 2
As soon as Severus had exited the fireplace. He was baffled to see himself walking into a massive looking manor hall. Surrounded by stone and hints of wood and paintings.
"Welcome to McGonagall Manor," she waved her hands around. Only to be surprised that everything was green and a mix of red and brown.
Severus turned towards her. "I had wondered why you wore green a lot. Now I know, it's your clan color."
Minerva only glared at him. "Come, let's find some rooms." Then led Severus up the stairs. Where the two walked the halls. Before stopping at a door. "This is the nursery, with a bedroom for Harry."
They entered the room. Only to see shades of blue and silver within rooms. They had found the crib. Then they cleaned Harry and dressed him and laid him to bed.
Minerva had placed a monitoring spell on the room. Before she closed the door. "My room is across Harry's," she pointed out. Before leading Severus to the room down the hall. Where she opened it to see a medium shade of gray and teal.
"This will be your room, Severus. It has a walk-in closet and a bathroom." She had taken a deep breath. "I also have a potions' lab in the basement, which I will show in the morning. If you need anything, call Tory. He will get what you need."
Once she had closed the doors of his room. Severus had found himself alone, with his dark thoughts. 'Lily is going to kill me, if I screw this up.'
He glanced around his room. He was not a big fan of teal, but it was better than some girly color. Severus had shredded out of his clothes and went into the bathroom. Where he had taken a long hot shower. Once he was out, he found a pair of black silk sleepwear.
Severus wanted to yell that he didn't need anything. But truth be told. He needed to head for home and pack up his things. He was in no mood to head there at three in the morning. So he was grateful for what was given.
He then made his way towards his bed and laid down. Not too excited about his new future that was given to him.
'I am now an uncle to my enemy's son.' He groaned as he flipped onto his side. 'There are a lot of legends on the Island of Skye. I wonder if I could find a few.' Then his flicked closed, as sleep had taken root to him.
Only to see an image of Lily, behind his closed eyes. Just a simple image. Not in anger or happiness. But out of a thoughtful glance towards him.
"Lily."
