Chapter 13

The morning of the wedding came, the castle was very busy preparing for the wedding, servants were tidying the castle, preparing the food and finishing putting up the decorations.

Royal and aristocrats from around the world were pulling in through the castle gates in limos and the people in the town of Dove's Isle were also coming in through the gates.

Bethany was in one of bedrooms on the third floor getting changed into her wedding dress. Two maids were helping her change. Bethany sprayed perfume on herself and on of the maids did her hair.

She noticed Edward starring outside the window.

"What's wrong Edward?" said Bethany. "It's our wedding day, we should be happy, especially on the most romantic day of the year."

"I guess so" said Edward unsurely.

"Where do you think we should go for our honeymoon?" asked Bethany excitedly. "Las Vegas? Paris? Manhattan?"

"I'm not sure," said Edward somewhat uncomfortably. "Let's talk about it over the wedding."

Meanwhile, Dorothy was in her room. She had the dress Alice made for her for the ball on hanging on a chair. She was looking out a window watching people arrive for the wedding and sighed.

She remembered her promise about attending the wedding. She saw on the table, a card.

She picked it up and opened it. It was a red heart with red and purple glitter. She opened it and it said,

Roses are red, violets are blue, Dorothy loves animals and I do too.

Dorothy smiled and chuckled knowing it must've been from Edward.

Just then the door opened and Alyvia stepped in with two guards. She wore a strapless red fluffy dress.

"Guards," said the countess. "Grab her!"

The two guards grabbed Dorothy by the arms and started pulling her along.

"Hey!" cried Dorothy. "Wait, let go off me!" she cried.

The countess smirked evilly and followed the guards out.

Lady Rose watched in horror as her owner got dragged out of the room.

The countess and the guards took Dorothy down to the dungeons and pushed her into a cell.

"Why are you doing this?!" cried Dorothy. "I didn't do anything!"

"You've been interfering with my plans," said Alyvia. "The prince is going to marry my daughter and you're trying to steal him."

"He and Bethany belong together!" cried Dorothy desperately. "Princes don't marry servants." She muttered sadly.

"The prince will marry Bethany," declared Alyvia. "And you will have nothing more to do with him!"

The guards locked the door. Alyvia handed the guards each a bundle of money and they walked out.

"I'll let you out," taunted Alyvia. "After the wedding."

The buddies and the nationals were on their way down to the throne room for the wedding with the buddies' children.

Just then Lady Rose came running up.

"Guys!" she cried.

"What's wrong Lady Rose?" asked Budderball.

"Countess Alyvia had the guards capture Dorothy!" cried Lady Rose.

The buddies and the nationals were horrified.

"Why would she do that!?" cried Nathanial.

"To keep Dorothy away from the prince" growled Nora.

"We've got to find Dorothy!" cried Rosebud.

The puppies and Lady Rose quickly ran down the hall, the kids didn't notice their puppies leaving.

The buddies, the nationals and Lady Rose ran down the hall and down the stairs, when they came to a stop and saw Alyvia and Bethany standing in front of them.

"Hold it right there!" declared Bethany. "You filthy animals do not get to ruin my wedding day."

The buddies and the nationals growled at Bethany making her jump back, Alyvia wrapped her arms protectively around her daughter.

"Guards," she said. "Take these animals to the dungeon where they'll be far away from me at the wedding."

"Yes, your grace" said the guard reluctantly.

The puppies and the cat tried to run away but the two guards caught them and carried them to the dungeon.

Author's note; Things are not looking good Alyvia and Bethany have Dorothy and the puppies locked up. Will they be able to get to the wedding and stop them in time?
