Chapter 14
The buddies, the nationals and Lady Rose were carried into the dungeon by the guards, B-dawg and Nancy tried to break free from the guards, but they tightened their grip and they couldn't escape.
Dorothy looked up from her cell in shock to see Alyvia and Bethany returning with guards, the puppies and her cat.
One of the guards unlocked the cell and then the guards gently pushed the puppies and Lady Rose into the cell and then shut the door and locked the door.
"Now I won't have to those animals making a mess of my wedding" declared Bethany triumphantly.
"Let us out Lady Tremaine!" snapped Nancy.
"You'll be sorry when Edward and the kids find out you locked their puppies up!" said Dorothy.
"They'll never know," said Bethany with a smirk sticking her finger through the prison bar. "They'll be to busy at the wedding to notice they're gone."
Mudbud growled and tried to bite her.
Bethany pulled her finger away through him in time gasping.
"Mangy furballs!" she snapped. "I will not have you getting fur and pawprints all over people's clothes or the wedding."
She looked back at her mother.
"Come on mother," she said. "We have to get back to the throne room for the wedding."
"Right away love" said Alyvia smiling evilly.
The two grand ladies left the dungeon with the guards, and Alyvia put the key chain on a hook on the wall.
Dorothy sat on the bed looking down.
"Poor Dorothy," sighed Rosebud.
"It's like Cinderella and her wicked stepsisters" said B-dawg.
"I know," agreed Nora. "We really need to get Dorothy and Edward together now."
"We gotta get the key guys," said Budderball. "We just gotta."
"Yes," said Buddha. "Countess Alyvia left the key behind."
"But how will we get it?" asked Mudbud. "We can't fit through the bars."
"No," said Lady Rose. "But I can. We cats are thin to fit through spaces like this."
With that Lady Rose walked between the bars. Dorothy looked up to see her cat crawling through the bars.
"Lady Rose?" she said in confusion.
Lady Rose walked across the floor, leapt on to a stool and leapt up and knock the key off the hook.
Dorothy and the puppies watched with big smiles as she picked up the key by the chain in her mouth and carried it back to the cage.
"What a clever cat" said Dorothy proudly, scratching Lady Rose's ears.
"Lady Rose," said B-dawg. "Have I told you you're my favourite cat?"
Dorothy took the key and unlocked the door. She opened it and the puppies ran out and she followed after them.
"Come on," said Rosebud. "We've got to get to the wedding."
"I can't wait to see the look on lady Bethany's face," said Nora. "The proverbs say in the bible that pride comes, then disgrace comes too."
Author's note; You gotta love the Cinderella reference I put in this chapter, don't you? The buddies and the nationals will stop Alyvia and Bethany now.
