It was 5:20 am the next day, November 5th, as Kim and Ron walked onto campus as they made their way to the stadium for morning football and cheer practices.
Suddenly, Ron noticed that Kim has a nervous look on her face.
"KP, are you alright?" Ron asked.
Kim sighed, "Ron, can we sit down for a moment?"
Ron nodded, "Sure, but it'll have to be quick because of practices."
Soon, Kim and Ron sat down on a nearby bench.
Kim then spoke, "It's just that, you know how there were news reporters at the trial of Doctor Short?"
Ron nodded, "Yes."
"Well, I know that they will have the story of the trial in the newspapers and on TV," Kim said.
"Why are you so nervous about them airing the story?" Ron asked.
"They will mention that Short became a criminal all because of my sitch with the little-league soccer team," Kim replied. "I have a feeling that everyone's gonna come down upon me for what I did all those years ago."
"KP, all that happened years ago," Ron pointed out. "I don't think anyone will care. Besides, everyone does something stupid in their lives."
Kim nodded, "Yeah, but what if people still give me grief?"
Ron's face turned serious, "If people do give you grief, just know that I love you and I've got your back, and those people are jerks."
Kim smiled, "Thanks, Ronnie, I can always count on you to have my back."
"As well as be your badical husband?" Ron asked.
"As well as be my badical husband," Kim replied.
Ron smiled, "Let's go about our lives and pretend nothing has ever happened."
Kim and Ron then stood up from the bench and wrapped their arms around each other.
Ron kissed Kim on top of the head and cooed, "I'm game if you are."
Kim got up on her tiptoes and gave Ron a kiss.
She then broke the kiss and cooed, "Ronnie, I'm always game."
With that said, Kim and Ron continued their way to the stadium.
A couple minutes later, Kim and Ron made it to the stadium and noticed Monique, Tara, Brick, and Josh conversing.
"Hey, guys," Ron said with a wave.
Monique, Tara, Brick, and Josh turned towards Kim and Ron.
"Hey, Kim. Hey, Ron," Monique spoke with a wave.
"Hey, guys," Tara added.
Kim soon thought of something and asked, "Hey, Josh. Monique. What are you guys doing up this early?"
"Well, Josh and I wanted to watch Tara and Brick practice," Monique replied.
"I also wanna try a hand at doing a painting of cheer and football practices," Josh added.
"I guess that explains that weasel," Ron guessed, pointing to the easel Josh was carrying.
"Ron, it's easel," Kim corrected.
Ron blushed, "Oops, sorry."
"It's okay, Ron," Josh assured. "Some people can easely, mispronounce things. Get it, easely?"
Everyone then laughs at Josh's pun.
After the laughter died down, Kim soon realized something, "Say, we still need to figure out a good time for us to go on a triple date."
"I'm sure we'll think of a good time," Monique said. "Perhaps Saturday night after the football game?"
"That's a great idea," Kim agreed.
"I think that will be bon-diggity," Ron added.
"I'm up for it," Brick added.
"Me too," Tara added.
"Count me in," Josh added.
Kim soon noticed someone else absent, "Hey, where's Hope?"
"She's in the field house getting ready for practice," Tara answered.
"Something that we should be doing," Ron added.
"Then we better get ready for practice," Brick suggested. He then turned to Monique and kissed her on the cheek. "I'll see you after practice."
Monique gave Brick a kiss on the check and cooed, "I'll be watching you from the bleachers."
Tara then kissed Josh on the cheek and cooed, "I'll be looking forward to seeing that painting of football and cheer practices."
Josh kissed Tara on the cheek and cooed, "I can promise that it will be great."
Soon, Kim, Ron, Tara, and Brick walked into the field house while Josh and Monique walked to the bleachers.
It was 8:00 am as Kim and Ron walked out of the locker rooms and met up with each other.
"Hiya, bad boy," Kim cooed before getting up on her tiptoes and giving Ron a peck on the lips.
He gave a sultry grin before he took Kim into his arms and spun her around, earning a happy squeal from her.
"Hiya, bad girl," Ron cooed.
He then pulled her up for a kiss which she happily returned.
After the two teens broke the kiss, Kim cooed, "Oh, Ronnie, I can always count on you to make my day brighter than the Sun."
"I always make it my mission to brighten even the darkest days," Ron said in a flirty tone.
The two teens then looked up at the clock.
"We've got about two hours before our first class of the day," Kim announced.
Ron then got behind Kim, wrapped his arms around her waist, and planted a kiss on the left side of her neck before resting his chin on her left shoulder.
"What shall we do to pass the time?" Ron cooed.
Kim gave a sultry grin, "Let's go to the campus fountain."
Ron gave a sultry grin, "Are we gonna go swim in it, again?"
Kim gigged and shook her head, "Not this time, fountain boy. We're gonna sit on a bench and enjoy each other's company."
"That sounds like a plan," Ron cooed. "May I kiss the bride before we go?"
"Yes, Ronnie, you may kiss the bride," Kim cooed.
Ron then pulled away before Kim turned towards him.
The two teens then wrapped their arms around each other and shared a passionate kiss.
After breaking the kiss…
"Hey, guys," Came a male voice.
Kim and Ron blushed as they noticed a male student with black hair, brown eyes, fair skin, and wearing a Beatles Abbey Road T-shirt with blue jeans, and black sneakers.
"Hello," Kim said with a wave.
"Who are you?" Ron asked.
"I'm Martin McDonald," The student introduced himself. "But you can call me, Marty. I'm a new student here."
"Well, welcome to Hudson River University," Ron said, enthusiastically.
"I know who you guys are," Marty said. "And I have to admit, it's an honor to finally meet you guys."
"Thanks, dude," Ron said.
Kim got a look at Marty's shirt, "You're a Beatles fan?"
Marty nodded, "I am."
"You know, me and Ron's parents are Beatles fans too," Kim said.
"That's so cool!" Marty commented.
"Hey," Came the voice of Hope.
Tara and Hope walked out of the girls' locker room.
"That was a great routine we pulled off," Tara commented.
"It was," Hope said in agreement.
"And I bet that was one my wonderful boyfriend painted," Tara said in a dreamy tone.
Hope then sighed, which didn't go unnoticed.
"What's wrong, Hope?" Tara asked with concern.
"I've still been going through lonely times ever since I broke up with Herman after prom," Hope replied.
"I thought you hated him for being a huge jerk," Tara said.
"Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that I dumped him," Hope said, defensively. "But it's just that… seeing all my friends in relationships makes me feel lonely. Kim and Ron are married, you and Josh are back together, Felix and Zita are dating gamers, and Monique and Brick have finally decided to become a couple. While I'm stuck being single."
Tara put a hand on her best friend's shoulder, "Hope, I know you feel lonely, but I can assure you that you will find the right guy."
"Well, I do hope I find my dream guy," Hope said in a neutral tone.
Tara smiled, "I'm sure you will. Now, I'm go meet up with Josh and see his painting. Wanna come?"
Hope shook her head, "No thanks. Maybe I'll go see his painting later."
Tara nodded, "Okay, I'll see you later."
Hope waved, "Bye."
With that, Tara turned and walked away.
Hope turned around and smiled when she saw a male student with black hair, brown eyes, fair skin, and wearing a Beatles Abbey Road T-shirt with blue jeans, and black sneakers conversing with Kim and Ron.
"He looks cute," Hope thought. "And is a Beatles fan like I am."
She then walked up to the three teens and said, "Hey."
"Hey," Came the voice of Hope.
Kim, Ron, and Marty looked to see Hope.
"Hey, Hope," Kim said.
"Who is he?" Hope asked.
"I'm the new student here," Marty answered. "My name's, Martin McDonald, but you can call me, Marty."
"Hi, I'm Hope Fernando," Hope introduced herself. She then looked at Marty's shirt. "Hey, you're a Beatles fan too!"
"You like the Beatles?" Marty asked.
"I do," Hope said with a nod. She then asked. "What brings you to Hudson River?"
"They have a great music program," Marty replied. "I'm studying to becoming a music teacher. Now, I'm now taking a tour of campus."
Hope soon thought of something, rubbed the back of her neck, and asked, "Hey, Marty, will it be alright if I showed you around? I don't have any classes today so I will help you cover everything. Besides, I really enjoy getting to know new people."
Marty nodded, "That sounds great!"
"Great!" Hope said, happily. "Let's go on the tour!"
With that, Hope walked off with Marty.
After Hope and Marty walked off, Kim and Ron were puzzled over what they just saw.
"KP, is it me or is Hope acting strange?" Ron asked.
"I think she's crushing on him," Kim speculated.
"And how do you know?" Ron asked.
"A feeling," Kim replied. "Now, let's go to the campus fountain."
"That sounds like a plan," Ron agreed.
Kim and Ron then walked off, only to bump into Tara and Josh, the latter holding a painting.
"Hey, guys," Kim waved.
"Hey, Kim," Tara waved back.
"What do you think of my painting?" Josh asked, showing Kim and Ron the painting of both the football and cheer teams practicing.
"My goodness, that's really well done," Kim commented in amazement.
"Badical," Ron added in amazement.
Tara then noticed Hope walking away with some guy.
"Guys, do I see Hope walking with a guy?" She asked.
Kim and Ron turned to see Hope and Marty walk out of sight before turned back to Tara.
"You did," Kim replied. "That guy is a new student here and Hope offered to show him around. His name's, Marty McDonald."
"And you know what's weird?" Ron asked.
"What?" Tara answered.
"Hope was acting strange around this dude when they first met," Ron replied.
"This could mean only one thing," Josh spoke up.
Kim nodded, "I believe I know what you mean."
"Me too," Ron added.
"Ditto," Tara added.
"She likes him," All four teens said in unison.
Tara then pulled out her cellphone and dialed some numbers.
"What are you doing?" Kim asked.
"I can't help but ask Hope if she likes this, Marty," Tara said as she held the phone up to her ear.
It's been a couple minutes since Hope started the tour of Hudson River University for Marty as the two walked on campus.
"Say, Hope?" Marty spoke.
"Yes, Marty?" Hope asked.
"I wanna thank you for taking me on a tour of this school," Marty replied.
"You are welcome, Marty," Hope said, she then blushed.
"Hope, are you okay?" Marty asked with concern.
"I'm okay," Hope said, even though she felt pressure. "I just get nervous when I meet new people even though I like getting to know them. I'm sorry."
"It's okay, Hope," Marty assured. "I get nervous when I meet new people too."
Hope took a deep breath and asked, "Wanna sit down on the bench for a minute?"
Marty nodded, "Of course."
The two teens then sat down on the bench.
"So, Marty, I've been thinking about getting to know you more," Hope said, nervously. "What do you like to do other than listen to the Beatles?"
Marty smiled, "Well, I like to skateboard, play guitar, sing, and dance."
"You're a singer and dancer too?" Hope asked.
"I am," Marty replied. "I don't have a particular favorite form of dance though. How about you?"
"A few months ago, I got back into tap dancing with my best friend," Hope answered Marty's question. "We are both studying to become Performing Arts Teachers."
"That's so cool!" Marty commented.
Hope then asked. "Say, Marty?"
"Yes, Hope?" Marty asked.
"I have a random question," Hope replied. "And it's kinda personal."
"Feel free to ask."
"Have you ever had a girlfriend?"
Marty shook his head, "I never had one; I wasn't one for dating back in High School. But I do hope to find a girl someday." He then asked. "Have you ever had a boyfriend?"
"Yeah," Hope replied. "But everyone I've dated was a complete jerk. The last person I dated was the captain of the Track and Field team at my old High School. I broke up with him after prom when he turned out to have been a jerk."
"I'm so sorry for what happened," Marty said with sympathy. "But I can assure you that you'll find a man who's a true gentleman and shares your interests."
Suddenly, Hope's cellphone rang.
Hope looked at the caller ID.
"It's Tara; my best friend," She said. She then got up from the bench. "I gotta take this call in private."
Marty nodded, "Of course."
Hope then walked a distance and got behind a tree.
"Hey, Tara," Hope answered.
"Hope, Josh and I bumped into Kim and Ron and they told me that you volunteered to give a new student a tour of HRU," Tara said.
Hope nodded, "That's true."
"Kim and Ron also told me that they noticed you acting weird around this kid."
"What's the big?"
"What do you think of, Marty?" Tara asked. Hope blushed and remained silent. "Hope?"
Hope sighed, "I'm sorry, Tara, I was just at a loss for words. I think Marty is cute. Getting to know this person, he's a Beatles fan like I am and he's a nice guy. He also likes to skateboard, play guitar, sing, and dance."
"You like him," Tara speculated.
Hope nodded, "I do. I think he's the one for me."
"Well, why don't you go ask him out?" Tara asked.
"I'm afraid he'll reject me," Hope replied.
"Hope, I don't want you to wait until you've been played and tied to fast food props to come clean," Tara said.
Hope sighed, "Okay, I'll ask him out."
"That's the spirit, Hope!" Tara said in excitement.
"I gotta get going," Hope said. "Don't wanna keep Marty waiting."
"Bye, Hope," Tara said. "I'll talk to you later."
"Bye," Hope said before hanging up.
On the other end, Tara hung up her cellphone.
"So?" Kim asked.
"She's gonna ask him out," Tara replied.
"Let's hope for the best," Ron added. He then changed subjects. "So, what are you guys going to do?"
"I have an art class to get to in an hour," Josh announced.
"And I have a math class to get to in a half hour," Tara added. "What are you guys gonna do?"
"Ron and I are gonna spend the next two hours sitting by the fountain," Kim answered Tara's question.
Tara nodded, "Okay, just don't fall into it, again."
Ron shook his head, "We won't."
Tara then waved, "Well, Josh and I will see you guys later."
Kim waved back, "Ron and I will see you guys later as well."
With that, the two couples parted ways.
Hope hung up her cellphone, sighed and thought, "Well, here it goes."
She then walked from behind the tree and sat back down with Marty.
"Hope, is everything alright?" Marty asked.
"Marty?" Hope said, ignoring Marty's question.
"Yes, Hope?" Marty answered.
"Do you wanna… you know…go and do something tonight?" Hope asked. "Just you and me?"
"Are you asking me out?" Marty asked.
Hope nodded nervously, "Yes."
Marty noticed Hope's nervousness, "Hope, it's okay. And my answer is yes."
Hope brightened up, "Really?"
Marty nodded, "Of course. To be honest, when I first met you and got to know you, I felt like cupid struck me with an arrow."
"That's exactly how I felt," Hope said.
"So, Hope, where shall we go on our first date?" Marty asked.
"There's a restaurant near the school called, Wildcat Corner," Hope replied. "They have great food and we can eat dinner there tonight."
"That sounds great!" Marty commented.
The two teens then got up from the bench.
Marty then held out his hand, "Shall we resume the tour?"
Hope took Marty's hand into her own and said, "Yes. During which, we can get to know each other even more. After the tour, we'll go have lunch."
"That sounds like a plan," Marty agreed.
With that, Hope and Marty resumed the tour, this time hand-in-hand.
Later, at 12:30 pm, Kim and Ron finished eating lunch in the dining hall.
"Another wonderful lunch with my badical bride," Ron cooed as he put his arm around Kim's waist.
Kim put her head on Ron's right shoulder, "It's always nice to have lunch with you."
"And I wonder if Hope managed to ask Marty out," Ron said.
"Hey, guys," Came the voice of Hope.
Kim and Ron pulled away from each other and noticed Hope and Marty with trays of food and smiling.
"Mind if we join you guys?" Hope asked.
"Of course not," Kim replied.
Hope and Marty then sat down across from Kim and Ron.
"Kim, Ron, you are not gonna believe this!" Hope said.
"That you asked Marty out and he accepted?" Kim asked Hope.
"Yes," Hope said, happily. "And our first date is going to be at Wildcat Corner tonight."
"That's badical," Ron commented. He suddenly remembered something and turned to his wife. "Hey, Kim, don't we have that history test we have to study for?"
Kim snapped her fingers, "Of course, how could I forget? We'd better go study for it."
"You two have fun studying," Hope said. "Don't get sidetracked now."
Kim and Ron blushed to the roots of their hair. During study times, they occasionally get sidetrack with hugs, kisses, and cuddles.
"We won't," Ron said as he shook his head.
"You two have fun on your date tonight," Kim added.
"We will," Hope said with a nod.
"Bye," Marty added with a wave.
Kim and Ron waved back and said in unison, "Bye."
With that, Kim and Ron walked away from the table and out of the dining hall.
After Kim and Ron walked out of the dining hall, Marty asked Hope, "Say, I forgot to ask, what time would you like me to pick you up and where?"
"You can pick me up on the first level of the parking garage at Broy apartments at 5:30 pm," Hope replied.
"That sounds like a plan," Marty said in agreement.
"Great," Hope said.
Meanwhile, Kim and Ron were walking towards the campus exit.
"I wonder how Hope and Marty's date will turn out," Ron said.
"I wonder too," Kim added.
"Marty seems like a really nice guy."
"I think he's a really nice guy too."
Ron gave a mock glare, "Nicer than me?"
Kim gasped, "What?"
Ron laughed, "Just kidding."
Kim giggled, "Oh, Ronnie, you are such a bad boy."
"I am a bad boy," Ron agreed. He then picked Kim up, bridal style. "As well as one who loves you."
Kim draped her arms around Ron's shoulders, "You are a bad boy who loves me and I'm a bad girl who loves you."
With that, Ron resumed walking toward the campus exit to the parking lot with Kim in his arms.
It was 5:00 pm as Hope walked out of the apartment building and met up with Marty in the parking garage.
"Hey, Marty," Hope said with a wave.
"Hey, Hope," Marty waved back. He then noticed Hope's outfit and spoke. "You look beautiful tonight."
"Thank you, Marty," Hope said, appreciating Marty's commented. Hope was wearing a pink cocktail dress with black knee-high boots, and a pearl necklace. "And you look handsome."
"Thanks, Hope," Marty said, appreciating Hope's comment. Marty was wearing a blue long-sleeve collared shirt, khaki pants, brown belt, and brown penny Loafers.
"Where's your car?" Hope asked.
"It's over there," Marty said, pointing in a certain direction.
Hope looked to what Marty was pointing to and what she saw, surprised her.
"You drive a DeLorean?" Hope asked.
Marty nodded, "I do. It once belonged to my uncle who was a fan of, Back to the Future, like I am."
"I saw that movie and I liked it too," Hope said. "And it's amazing that I now know a guy named Marty who drives a DeLorean."
"Only my last name is McDonald and my DeLorean doesn't time travel," Marty pointed out.
Hope nodded, "I know." She then thought of something and giggled. "You know, Kim's father and brothers are geniuses; perhaps they could build a Flux Capacitor and install it in your DeLorean."
Marty shook his head, "No thanks; I don't wanna mess with the timeline." He then nodded his head. "Although it would be nice to make guys with the last name, Tannen, crash into manure trucks."
Both Hope and Marty laughed at this.
With that, they both walked to Marty's DeLorean, climbed in, and departed.
Later, Hope and Marty sat down at the Team Possible booth at Wildcat Corner and pick up a couple of menus that were laid out on the table.
"It's amazing that a booth was made just for Team Possible members," Marty commented.
"It is amazing," Hope commented.
"But, with Team Possible being large, doesn't this booth seem too small to seat every member?" Marty asked with concern.
"Well, this booth was made mainly for Kim and Ron but any Team Possible member can sit here," Hope replied.
Just then, a waiter walked up and asked, "Hello, welcome to Wildcat Corner, can I get you something to drink?"
"I'll have a Sunkist please," Marty answered.
"I'll have a Dr. Pepper please," Hope added.
The waiter wrote down the drinks Hope and Marty wanted and said, "I'll be back in a few minutes with your drinks."
With that, the waiter walked off.
A couple hours later, Hope and Marty were walking in Broy Park hand-in-hand and smiling. After eating a delicious supper at Wildcat Corner, the two teens decided to go for a walk in the park.
"Isn't this wonderful?" Hope asked her new boyfriend.
"It is wonderful," Marty commented. He then asked. "Say, Hope, can I ask you something?"
"Anything," Hope replied.
The two teens then stopped walking and turned towards each other.
"I've been having a really great time tonight," Marty commented. "And I wonder… and if possible, do you wanna start dating more?"
Hope nodded, "Of course, Marty. I know we've only known each other for a short time. But getting to know you, I've realized that I've found a man who's a true gentleman and shares my interests."
Marty then spoke, "Getting to know you; I've found the girl of my dreams."
Hope started tearing up, "Oh, Marty."
Marty then leaned in and kissed Hope.
Hope then happily returned the kiss as the two teens wrapped their arms around each other.
