When Knuckles went away then Amy went closer to Sonic.
She grabbed his hand and whispered:" Sonic, please be alright." Sonic didn't respond. Tails walked in and asked:" Has anything changed?" Amy shook her head. Tails walked closer to them and sat on the bed. Tails looked at his older brother and didn't realize that tears started to fall. Amy took the napking and cleaned his tear. Tails then realized he was about to cry. He backed off from her. Amy sat next to him and said:" It's alright, Tails. Sonic will come through it. Knuckles is on his way to recharge the emeralds and he'll save Sonic." Tails asked:" But what if it doesn't work? I don't want to lose him." Then Tails broke down. He said between his sobs:" I'm not ready to lose my brother." Amy embraced him and massaged his back. She whispered:" It's alright, Tails. Sonic has been in worse situatsions before." Tails nodded and Amy felt that the young fox calmed down.
Tails dried his eyes and said:" You're right. Sonic has survived everything what has been thrown at him. Maybe it's isn't differend. I believe in him." Amy said:" Atta boy!" She let him go.
With Knuckles and others... Well...
Knuckles was now trying to fly with Tornado 2 as fast as he could. Now he was flying right into castle tower. Halberd shouted:" Turn around! Turn around!" Knuckles replyed:" I'm trying! The plane doesn't respond!" Shadow then teleported away. He watched the plane for a few seconds until he said:" Not my problem." He then turned around and skated away.
Armor noticed the struggeling plane and alerted other knighters. One of the knighters said:" Wish we still had Shield with us. She could have known how we could save the tower." Chase walked there and said:" Knuckles doesn't have enough time to turn away. We need to help slow the plane down somehow." One of the knighters said:" I'll just go up and punch the plane." Armor shook his head and said:" No Hammer. It could make things worse."
Knuckles said:" We need to abandon the plane, Halberd." Knighter said:" Totally agree with you, fellow soldier." Knuckles and Halberd unbuckled their seatbelts and Knuckles grabbed the chaos emerald. He chaos controlled away with the eagle when the plane crashed into the tower. Everybody who saw the crash gasped. Chase ran under the crash site to see if pilot was alright.
Knuckles and Halberd teleported right beside of the camping site. Megan sighed from relief and said:" Good, you're back. Your friend can't hold on much longer." Knuckles ran into the trailer and saw Tails and Amy near Sonic's bed. In the corner was Roy, who watched them far away.
He noticed Knuckles and shouted:" Hi, bud! Was your quest successful?" Knuckles showed them the chaos emerald. It started to flicker in his hand. Knuckles pushed Amy and Tails away and put the chaos emerald into blue hedgehog's hand and moved them over Sonic's chest.
Nothing happened. Knuckles said:" Come on, Sonic! Don't give up now! The people still need your help. They need someone like you." Knuckles then heard Sonic's voice saying:" They don't need somebody uncapable. I murdered someone. I am not perfect." Knuckles whispered:" You're right. You're not. But you showed me that nobody is." Sonic's voice replyed:" But if i'm not perfect then...i can't help everyone in need." Knuckles smirked and said:" Sonic, you do everything you can and it's enough to us. It's their own problem if they want much more of you."
Sonic opened his eyes and moved his hand on Knuckles' hand. He said:" Thank you. I really needed a brother like you." Knuckles stepped away with a small smile. Tails jumped on Sonic. Tails said:" Don't do that again! You scared me. I thought that...i lose you." Sonic broke the hug without letting go of Tails. Tails looked into Sonic's emerald green eyes. Hedgehog said:" I promise you, Tails. I'm always with you as long as you remember me." Tails smiled and dried new tear. Sonic patted Tails' back and said:" Let it out, buddy. It's alright to cry." Tails nodded and gave Amy some room when Amy started to hug Sonic so much that Sonic thought that she tries to strangle him. Knuckles said:" Let him go, Amy. You're going to kill him. That reminds me. Tails, i crashed your plane." Tails shouted:" WHAT!!"
After some time, the peace came between resistance and knighters. King was revealed to be Chase's uncle. He gave his throne to Chase because she was rightful ruler. She complitly knighted Knuckles for his bravery. Sonic was alright and he let his wounds heal. Tails and Roy rebuilt Tornado 2 in that time.
All of the civilians celebrated, expect for Laura. She was sad because Shield's death. Sonic, Knuckles, Amy and Tails walked towards her and Knuckles said:" I'm so sorry about your daughter. At least she died as a hero. Without her i don't know what could have happened. Sonic gave Laura the white rose and said:" Never forget her and she'll be right next to you." Laura took the rose and whispered:" Thank you, kids." Sonic turned to Tails and asked:" Is Tornado 2 ready?" Tails nodded and leaded them to the plane. Knuckles stopped them and turned around. Other three followed his gaze and saw two new statues. One was statue of Shield and other was with Knuckles, Amy, Tails and Sonic.
Chase, now dressed in beige/light orange dress, walked to them and asked:" Going too soon?" Sonic said:" Yeah. Other islands need us." Chase said:" Very well then. But remember, you four are welcomed here anytime." Amy said:" I could come back one day. This place is beautiful." Roy, Grizzly and Armor walked closer to them. Tails turned to Armor and said:" I hope that you're alright. Shield was special for you." Armor shook his head and said:" No." His voice and body language showed that he was lying. Grizzly walked closer to Sonic and shook hands with him. Sonic asked:" Are you alright?" Grizzly said:" I try and move on. There are more bears who could be right for me." Sonic said let go and said:" If you say so. It's good to see you move on." Grizzly nodded as he walked away.
Soon civilians waved goodbye to Sonic's team. Sonic said:" What the adventure!" Tails said:" It's not over yet. Let's return to Christmas Island." Sonic asked:" Why there?" Tails turned to Knuckles, who was on wing next to Sonic. Fox asked:" Are you going to tell him or i?" Knuckles said:" You're closer to him. And by the way, i problably need to free Rouge again." Sonic looked both Knuckles and Tails with confusion. Tails sighed and said to Sonic:" Knuckles knows longer about it, but... anyway, your family is still alive. Sharvari wasn't able to kill them. They burned the house down to lure only you. Your parents were untouched." Sonic shouted:" What?! Are you sure?" Tails said:" Even Sharvari herself told Knuckles about it." Sonic said:" Let's drop Knuckles and Amy off and let's check it out ourselves. But let's continue in next story. It's already too long story." Knuckles asked:" Did you just broke 4th wall?"
Sonic said:" Maybe I did."
