It was cold…. So cold , he thought as blood dripped from all over his body .No one came to help him , well that's a given , He had lost his name to Gluttony , everyone had forgotten him , even his closest friends. Even if he escaped this prison , he had nowhere to go , He did try it multiple times. The security around this area is too much…. And whenever he did escape , they would catch upto him and execute him. The only option he had was to wait for their little hero , so he can finally end this..
He wondered , if this bad ending could have been averted if he had been more careful and less emotional.
"well then , Witch cultist.. are you willing to cough off some information now" one guard asked grudgingly.
"You are going to torture me even if I make up something to tell you. I am not a witch cultist." Why do I even bother telling them that. He thought. As he prepared himself for fourth reward for his incompetency.

"This person possesses enough miasma to rival a sin archbishop infact he has more , I suppose" , said a child like voice.
"But Beatrice are you sure he is a witch cultist , he looks pretty harmless to me" said a sweet silver bell like voice.
"He does not possess the gospel , every witch cultist have it… , maybe he lost it I suppose"
Subaru woke up, then he looked around for a while , he recognized Emilia , Beatrice and Ram.
Did gluttony escape tch , how am I still alive…. Why didn't he kill me he thought.
"Emilia tan , beako sorry to make you worry about me.. also Ram , I lost to Gluttony , Good thing he was not able to kill me"
"I really hope you are not referring to me. What kind of name is that infact!."
"Emilia tan?.. I am reaaly sorry but I don't recognize you , Perhaps your name was eaten by Gluttony"
Subaru face twisted up , as he began shivering ,having his hands on his head.
This is the worst possible outcome….. I must return by death or else I will stay forgotten, I will be powerless again in this cruel world , I don't want to be alone again.
"We have a few questions for you" said Beatrice
"First of all, are you a Witch cultist".
"No, I would never-
"second , do you possess an Authority"
What should I tell them… well it does not matter anyways since I am going to die.
INVISIBLE PROVIDENCE , He called out. He quickly ordered the black hands to destroy his heart.

Suddenly there was nothiness , as Subaru collapsed
"He possesses an Authority , however I felt no malice, He did not lie. However he is too dangerous to be kept around you , We should just ask the Gaurds to lock him up , until we deal with Gluttony"
"You are right , but he does seem familiar even thought I have never met him"
"Even Ram thinks so"
"There is too much Risk. What if he really turned out to be an Enemy, We should just lock him up until we get to Sage Shaula , She will help us return all the names gluttony has stolen . I am sure I suppose."

"Did you LIKE THAT WITCH CULTIST?." Said the drunk guard while stabbing the boy in his eye.
The boy could do nothing but scream in agony , as he realized that half of his eye sight was now gone..
"What did I do to even deserve this?. I said I am natsuki Subaru.. , Emilia's knight , Killer of Ma beasts- Subaru said before getting interrupted
"YOU ARE NOTHING BUT A MONSTER, YOU DESERVE TO DIE" said another guard.
"That's enough. Who allowed you two to take unauthorized action towards the prisoner" said a new voice , as the owner entered the room.
"Who- We humbly apologize , sword saint Reinhard .but we have reasons to believe we could make some progress on him before you arrived" said the head guard.
" THE GREAT SPIRIT HAS TESTIFIED THAT HE ONLY ACTED SUSPICIOUS BUT HE WAS NOT A WITCH CULTIST, SO WHY DID YOU TORTURE HIM" Said Reinhard
Sabaru opened his eyes, his eyes had a gleam of sorts after a long time
" 212140 ….. So you finally came , Reinhard. I have been waiting for you." Said Subaru with his tired voice.
"I intend to punish you both for your behavior. But first.."
"What is your name" He asked him as he started his interrogation , while using his Divine protection of empathy.
This guy- is completely dead inside… He is not lying but He has no emotions anymore…. What have they done to him.
"And , here's my final question. Do you have an Authority?"
"Yes."
"How did you receive them"
"When Sin archbishops die , their Witch factor gets absorbed by the most compatible person nearby"
" And are you certain that , you can control your powers"
"I can control it , as long as I have my emotions are in check . Well you don't have to worry about that anymore ."

"I am going to die, but before that….
Subaru commanded, "Everyone will now remember Natsuki Subaru now".
"-Subaru?" Then Reinhard eyes , widened..

Subaru just smiled, it was a genuine smile, he will be finally free for this world , he just had to complete his last wish..
"Reinhard… will you accompany me to a place nearby?"
"Su-Subaru.., what did you mean by-, I am sorry, we are sorry… I was too late"

"Don't worry about it, you are a human.. before sword saint.."

Subaru walked out of the building, after wearing his clothing back, Reinhard followed him… asking him various questions , but Subaru just ignored him…. After walking for 10 mins , they reached a huge courtyard.. it was a truly a beautiful sight…
"All victims of gluttony will receive their name back.."
Subaru collapsed , but he kept smiling
"Subaru.. What did you do?"
"This is my authority of Envy, second phase,( Having it all), it allows me to do whatever I want… but the cost is my sanity.."
"-Why-Why didn't you tell anyone about this?"
"I just received it… after dying 212140 , to finally lose all my emotions , after that.. I was able to escape the loop."

"Global announcement : I am sure you guys , have heard the changes.. Witch of envy and satella are two different beings, so don't treat her harshly.."
Everyone was hearing the changes, Subaru was making.. They were all rejoicing, dancing , shouting, chanting Subaru's names.
Reinhard just stared at him in shock..
"I am very selfish.. so il be killing those responsible for torturing me… I am sorry Reinhard but, I just want to do it"
"No , Subaru –
"All entities involved, in unfair torture of Natsuki Subaru will be executed"
"Its kinda ironic, how I always wanted to be this powerful… but now that I have all of this power.. I want to be that powerless Subaru again , but now its impossible…"
"Subaru you can still-
"I can't, After 3 more wishes… Il lose everything… then I might rampage around.. with this much power"
"What do you mean Subaru?"
"The witch factor will take me over, its impossible to reverse it, even if I don't use any wishes.. it will take me over.. that's why, Il die a hero.."
"1 big jar, of dragons blood, will be given to Reinahard van astrea , Emilia"
Suddenly a big jar popped into existence into Reinhard's arm.

Subaru then withdrawed a letter from his pocket… and opened it..
"W-whats that?"
"Oh. This is a letter I wrote, for the world.. when I still had my sanity, sorry but I am not capable of making speech, I need to keep envy at bay.."
Reinhard , just gave up on saving Subaru… he knew it was pointless and it was better for Subaru to die a hero rather than become a villain and kill all his friends.
"I wish I-I could re-do everything from the start"
Subaru patted Reinhard on his head..
"Don't be sad.. its not your fault, please distribute these letters.."

I just wanted to say sorry for leaving you all behind.. Rem sorry for leaving you behind.. while I was being tortured I kept thinking about the life we could have had, I don't regret anything however. Beatrice , I became a hero… like I said I would become.. but sorry for leaving you this early, I really wanted to spend more time with you, Take care of Emilia for me, and finally Emilia… sorry for not being by your side, I was not able to make you fall in love with me, however I do wish.. I became a knight, you deserved.. I love you.. Sorry I can't address everyone, I don't have much time left ,but.. I have written a few letters, take em from Reinhard , Sorry again , Farewell "
Subaru collapsed , after that message.
"Are you okay" as Reinhard immediately went to assist him.
"Hmm what a beautiful day , don't you think"
"W-What are you going to do now Subaru?"
"Remember , you are not a monster.. you are a human.. you will become the hero you were always meant to be"
"Suba-?
"Kill me , il be consumed in 10 seconds"
"NO, I COULD NEVE-"
"Reinhard van astrea will kill me.. using his sword Reid." And With that Golden Flash enveloped Subaru's body, and he died peacefully a hero. His only regret being not being able to see his close ones , before he died…
"What Have I done?" Reinhard screamed and collapsed.
"Where am I?"
"WELCOME , The great sage"
"Who are you" Subaru asked while frowning , as he saw the white figure approaching him..
"Od laguna.. I was rather entertained by your display"
"Oh, wow god himself is praising me , I wonder how he was not able to do shit himself tho" Subaru said sarcastically.
"I am no god.. anyways I have an interesting proposal for you"
"OH I REALLY WONDER WHAT COULD IT BE, I just want to see my lovely Emilia tan , my daughter Beatrice " Subaru kept ranting.
"COULD you listen for once?.. for godsake , you were better when you lost your emotions"
"OH I CAN FEEL AGAIN , DANG THIS FEELS GOOD"
