Muffled sobs echoed down the hallway, Andromeda rose from her place in the living room and followed the sound to her grandsons room. 5 year old Teddy Lupin was curled up on his bed, his stuffed dragon tucked under his arm.

She'd known something was bothering the little boy as he had come back early from his godfathers, when usually it was a fight to get him to come home.

'Teddy are you alright?' Andromeda asked softly walking into the room, which had been decorated by his adopted Aunty Luna and sitting on the edge of his bed.

'No' Teddy sniffled curling into a tighter ball 'I did something bad'

Andromeda thought for a moment, Harry hadn't said anything when he'd seen Teddy through the floo an hour or so earlier. 'I see' she said 'what did you do?'

'I told a secret' Teddy murmured 'Uncle Harry will be cross with me when he finds out'

So that was why he had come home early Andromeda concluded. If she thought about he had been slightly reluctant to go that morning. 'Would you like to tell me what the secret was?'

Teddy sat up and regarded his grandmother, his eyes puffy from crying. 'You won't be cross?' He asked meekly

'No sweetheart I won't be cross' she gave him a gentle smile 'lm sure it isn't that bad'

Teddy scooted over to Andromeda and snuggled into her side, his dragon held tightly in his arm. 'We went to Hogsmeade to see Uncle Severus, Uncle Harry had to go to a shop and so I stayed with Uncle Severus. There was a present on Uncle Severus' bench and I asked him what it was, he said it was a surprise for Uncle Harry for Valens day. And then I accidentally told Uncle Severus that Uncle Harry had a surprise for him that it was really good and they were going to Swissland, now Uncle Harry will be cross'

Andromeda gave a silent chuckle. 'Teddy I really don't think Uncle Harry will be cross' she assured him 'it was only an accident after all'

'He won't want to be my Uncle Harry anymore' Teddy said sadly

'Of course he will, Uncle Harry loves you very much and nothing would ever make him that cross he wouldn't want to be your godfather anymore' Andromeda said gently 'you wait here for a minute and I'll be right back'

Teddy nodded and laid back down on his pillow, watching as he grandmother left the room. In the parlour Andromeda threw some powder into the grate and stuck her head into the hearth. 'Harry are you there?' She called out into the empty room of Harry and Severus' home

'Andy?' Harry said coming into their library where the floo was located 'what's the matter?'

'It's Teddy' she began and watched as the wizard paled 'Nothing serious Harry, he is a little upset and I think you might be able to help him'

'This have something to do with why he went home early today?' Harry asked

'Yes' Andromeda nodded and explained to Harry what had happened

Teddy was talking to his dragon when he heard voices in the hallway, laying still he waited to see who they belonged to. His grandmother and Harry appeared in the doorway to his room. Tears filled the small boys eyes and he buried his head into his pillow.

'Ted, come here honey' Harry said softly sitting on the edge of the bed and patting his godsons legs

'You'll be cross' Teddy mumbled

'I promise you I won't be cross sweetheart' Harry told him

'That's what Gran said' Teddy replied sitting up slightly

'Gran was right' Harry said 'come and sit here with me'

Taking a moment for consideration Teddy moved over to his godfathers side and looked at his knees.

'Can you tell me why you left early today?' Harry asked

'I told a secret to Uncle Severus why you were at the shop' Teddy said quietly

'What did you tell Uncle Severus?' Harry asked him

'About your surprise for valens day'

'I see' Harry hid a smile 'you thought I would be cross?'

Teddy nodded his response still not meeting his godfathers gaze. A finger crooked under his chin and lifted his head until he was looking into his godfathers green eyes. 'Nothing in this world would give me cause to be cross at you, not even accidentally telling Uncle Severus a secret'

'You not cross?' Teddy asked hopefully

'Not at all' Harry assured him

'What about the surprise and Swissland for Uncle Severus?' Teddy asked

'I think I have a better idea' Harry smiled and told Teddy and Andromeda his plans.

Fairy lights twinkled around the arbour and the candles flickered on the table set up in the garden of Andromedas home. Harry waited in the yard watching the stars come to life in the night sky. A scent floated over the air and he smiled, it was a smell that was home, that was safe and comforting, a smell that would forever warm his heart.

'Hi there' Harry grinned as strong arms rested on his shoulders, turning he wrapped his arms around his husbands waist inhaling that delicious scent.

'Good evening' Severus smiled and shivers ran the length of Harry's spine at the velvety smooth voice. 'Happy Valentine's Day my love'

'Happy Valentine's Day my heart' Harry said and pressed a chaste kiss to his husbands lips 'would you care to join me for dinner?'

'I would indeed' Severus replied

'Then follow me Mr Snape' Harry said poshly and taking Severus' hand led him over to the table and pulled out a seat.

'Thank you Mr Potter' Severus said pinching Harry's arse as he went to take his own seat

'Behave you wicked man' Harry warned with a smirk 'our waiter is coming'

'Waiter?' Severus asked a brow quirked

Teddy appeared with a wide smile, he was wearing a white shirt and plain black pants, over his arm was draped a tea towel. He was wearing a black bow tie at his neck.

'Good evening Sirs' he giggled 'I am Teddy your waiter, would you like to start with a drink?'

'Yes that would be lovely' Harry answered 'what would you like Sev?'

'A glass of blackberry wine please' Severus gave Teddy his order

'I'll have the shame' Harry said

'Stay there and I'll be right back' Teddy instructed and dashed off back into the house

'What's going on?' Severus asked

'Just go with it and I'll explain later' Harry told him. Severus nodded and began chatting with Harry about his day.

Andromeda delivered the drinks with Teddy in tow, who proceeded to tell them what was on offer for dinner. Giving him their order, the five year old darted back into the house with Andromeda following close behind.

'Is there anything else I can get for you sirs?' Teddy asked after they had finished dessert.

'A cuddle form my favourite godson would be nice' Harry said

Teddy scrambled up into his godfathers lap and wrapped his arms around Harry's neck. 'Are you feeling better?' Harry asked

'Yes' Teddy said

'Something I'm missing?' Severus asked

'I did an accident' Teddy said from his place on Harry's lap

As he was about to ask what accident, it dawned on Severus what the evening had all been in aid of. 'Teddy would you come over here for a minute?'

Teddy looked at his godfather who nodded it was fine for him to go over to Severus. Climbing off Harry's lap he walked to Severus and climbed onto his lap. 'Does this accident have something to do with the secret you told me today?'

Teddy nodded, tears welling in his eyes. 'Well' Severus said 'I have a secret of my own, I knew about Uncle Harry's surprise, he isn't very good at putting things away'

Teddy giggled and looked at his godfather who was feigning affront 'No Uncle Harry doesn't put things away, not all the time'

'Hey' Harry said indignantly 'I do too put things away'

'Uh uh' Teddy shook his head

'What's all the racket?' Andromeda asked coming into the garden

'Those two are ganging up on me' Harry said with a pout

'How old are you?' Andromeda chided

'I often wonder that myself' Severus quipped

'Feel free to sleep on the sofa tonight dear husband' Harry shot back

'Come on inside and have some coffee' Andromeda laughed shaking her head. Severus stood up with a giggling Teddy in his arms and went inside.

'Sorry tonight wasn't what I had originally planned' Harry said later that night, he and Severus cuddled up in bed

'It was perfect' Severus said happily 'Swissland will still be there next year'

'It certainly will' Harry smiled, snuggling in closer to his husband and closing his eyes 'Happy Valentine's Day Sev'
