Disclaimer: I do not own Sofia The First.

A/N: Here's my happy cedfia story for the stfshipappreciationweek2022's Sweetheart's Day Special, lol. Prompt is Cozy/Warm Snuggles, (with a little touch of Hot Cocoa).

Enjoy!

"Here you are," Sofia announced. Steam trickling out from the top of the warm mug as she handed it to her husband.

"Thank you," Cedric said, scooching over to allow her room onto the couch. A cup in her own hand as she snuggled next to him under the blanket.

He savored the aroma, and chuckled. "Determined to get that last cup of hot cocoa in before winter ends, eh?". Noting that this had been the fifth night in a row that she had prepared the sweet beverage for them.

A cheeky grin was his answer, "Of course."

"Well, at least you've found a use for all those 'Kingdom's Best Sorcerer' mugs I had laying around, I suppose."

Sofia took a sip, and sighed. Glancing out the open window at the sunset. "Hard to believe spring's almost here already."

Enchancia was currently lingering in that odd cusp between the two seasons. All over the kingdom, patches of snow were melting away to reveal fresh green grass. Some of the early blooms already peaking out through the ground's icy blanket. Paving the way for the myriad of flowers and blossoms that would soon decorate the Ever Realm's canvas with their delicate beauty; and Sofia, who had enjoyed her fill of the previous holiday season, was eagerly anticipating the vernal renewal, and all the wonderful things she loved about it.

But in the meantime, she was content to savor these last joys of winter while she still could.

"I can't wait for our first picnic in my garden this year," resting her head on his shoulder.

"Indeed," he agreed. "Though as much as I'm looking forward to that. I will miss this weather a bit."

"Really?" she blinked, looking up at him. "I thought you didn't like winter all that much?" Having often heard him complain of the cold. Not to mention it had only been in recent years that the holidays, and even his own birthday, had held any appeal to him.

"Yes, well," setting his finished mug on the table in front of them. "That was before I had a beautiful princess to keep me warm on those frozen nights." His grin mischievous as he gazed at her.

Sofia blushed, giggling demurely. "Oh Cedric," now leaning close, her lips grazing his as she whispered, "I'll gladly keep you warm any time of the year."

He chuckled, caressing her cheek as he pulled her in for a kiss, both moaning sweetly. Sofia twisting around slightly, with their lips still locked, to set down her own mug. Before returning fully to the task of adoring her husband.

They shivered fiercely as a cold wind suddenly blew in from the open window, interrupting them. A reminder that winter wasn't quite over yet.

With a flick of his wand Cedric sealed it shut, then turned back to his love. "Perhaps right now, we could warm each other up?" His tone shy, yet hopeful.

A giddy hum escaped his princess. "That would be amazing." Lips meeting his again for another deep kiss. The previous chill forgotten as they melted together in a puddle of love and warmth.
