Threatening Visitation

Master Porky Minch: Ok... let's see how I do today...

Persephone's POV

Simultaneous going on everywhere, a message that someone had just attacked Camp Half-Blood, and now the destroyer of Kronos being kidnapped? Has the whole planet gone officially insane?!

I was panicking my heart out when I got the news of the attack of the camp. For all I knew, the whole place could be absolutely destroyed and burning to the ground!

There are also the rumors about some 'Original Cyclops' that are bouncing from place to place. These rumors have literally every single Olympian god soiling themselves and turning tails to run. What's the big deal, anyway? He's just a cyclops! He can't be as strong as everyone is saying he is.

And perhaps the absolute worse part of it is all the worry from my mother. Honestly, ever since she got the news that there was someone who was picking a fight with the demigods, she began acting like she did when I married Hades. She just kept going on and on about how she didn't know whether I was ok, and how if someone attacked me, I could die. I love my mother, I really do, but she doesn't have to treat me like I'm 5-years-old!

And now, I'm getting scared because Percy was kidnapped. He was literally the whole cause of us being free of Kronos in the first place, and now he's gone?! Who in the right mind would ever want to take our number one protector anyway?!

...And then... there was what happened today, while my husband was off to that meeting in Camp.

I was laying in my chambers, sleeping, waiting for Hades to come back, and I had the strangest dream.

I was standing in... I don't know where. It was so dark and void of any life, that I couldn't see anything. I tried to call out, but nobody answered.

After several minutes of this, something finally came into view... it was, a pair of eyes... they were... I can't even describe them... it looked as if every shade of blue and green where there at that one time... it's absolutely inexplicable.

They were... what were they?... Threatening?... Comforting?... Angry?... I don't even know... they were void of all emotion as they just stared at me.

I tried to ask them what or who they were, but they didn't answer me... I tried to ask them what they wanted from me, but again, nothing...

Suddenly, someone appeared beside him. He was a tall man, about 6'6", with a black cloak that concealed his entire body except for his head. His hair was long and purple, with the luster of a beautiful gem. His eyes... they were blood red, though in his pupils rested small, lavender flames.

"...R... Remington?..."

When I said the name, a dark stairway that lead up appeared behind the two. They both turned their heads and looked up to it. "...Remington... my son..." I tried to say, but the words were stuck in my throat like glue. I couldn't say anything. I couldn't even move anymore. All I could do was watch...

The two began heading up the stairs, and every time their foot came off of a step, that step would vanish and disperse into some black powder. "Remington... don't go... don't leave me..." I attempted to choke out, but again, nothing came out.

They just kept going... there was no stopping them... my son and the figure that blended flawlessly with the darkness... they ignored any attempt I tried to communicate with them... it was like I was never even there...

Eventually, they and the stairs were too far out of my sight to see... I just closed my eyes... I didn't know what to feel... I didn't know what to say of what I just saw...

I was eventually awoken by a loud and hard knocking on the door. I thought it might have been Hades at first, but after the knock happened again, I knew that couldn't have been the case. The knocking didn't seem urgent at all... it was loud, trying to get attention from me, but other than that, it didn't feel like there was anything behind it.

"Ugh... alright... I'm coming..." I groaned as I lazily rolled off the bed. I went to the mirror and looked at myself, making sure that I looked at least half way presentable. I always did take pride in my natural beauty. Screw Aphrodite with all her makeup and plastic surgery crap. I didn't need any of that.

The knock came again, and I could almost feel the impatience building up on it. "Alright, I'll be there in a minute!" I yelled at the door. After making sure I didn't have too many strands of hair standing up, I made my way to the door and opened it.

I could never have been prepared for who was there. I opened the door, and if I was holding any kind of cup, I would have dropped it.

There were two men that were standing there at my door. The one was an incredibly strong looking man, standing at a height of roughly 7'8". His hair was kept and black, and he stood perfectly still, like a marine waiting for orders. His eyes were filled to the brim with obedience, showing that he was loyal to the second person.

The second person, while not at all as tall as the first man, was still intimidating in almost every way possible. He was about 6'1". and was cloaked entirely in black, and the only thing that wasn't hiding behind the cloak and hood was his face, and a few strands of pitch-black hair. His eyes... oh God, his eyes... they were completely black, with the exception of his iris and pupils, which glowed red like fiery coals.

"...Good afternoon to you, Persephone." the shorter man said with a sarcastic bow. The taller one just remained standing, like a stature.

I could easily sense who they were and what they were capable of, even when they weren't in their true forms. "...Get out." I said, trying to sound as tough as possible, though I could have sworn I made a small squeak after I said that.

The shorter man gave a hideous laughter, while the taller one still did nothing. I was beginning to think that he would react to absolutely nothing. "I'm afraid I can't do that lady. See, my son and I are here on a very, very important search. We're going to have to come in."

I was getting angry, but not as much as how much I was becoming frightened. I knew I couldn't let these two find whatever they were looking for, but I knew that if I put them in a bad mood, I would immediately regret it. "I said get out. I am the queen of the Underworld, and I will have you personally thrown out if I have to."

That's where the tall one finally made some kind of movement. Obviously, he took my words as a threat, whether they were or not, and took a step forward, ready to get in a fight. I took a step back, ready for the worst.

Thankfully, the shorter one put the palm of his hand on the taller one's stomach, and he stopped. "Now, now, Typhon, we mustn't get too riled up now." he said. "After all, there'll be plenty of time to do that once we find that book."

Typhon looked at the man for a little bit before giving a nod and stepping back in position. "Now, perhaps I didn't make myself clear, Persephone." he said in that same tone, though there was a sense of virulence in it. "You know what we want, and we won't leave until we get it."

"...The book..." I said.

"The book of dead Greek Legends... the one that you never touch?" he questioned, obviously getting irritated. I was starting to panic a bit. I knew what he was talking about now, but what was I supposed to do? I mean, he wants that book, and I don't...

Immediately I calmed down and got a smirk on my face. "Then you're going to be here for quite some time. As it turns out, I no longer have the book."

Typhon looked at the shorter man at this. God, that look on his face... I'm pretty sure one of his blood-vessels was on the verge of popping. "...Not... with you?" he questioned. "...Where is it?..."

I simply shrugged. "I don't know."

This is where he got really ticked off. He reached in his cloak and pulled out something I've dreaded for so long. It was a one-handed flail, with spikes on the chain balls. The metal of it was burning white-hot, and I could already feel the heat coming from it. "Don't you lie to me! Where is the book?!"

"I told you, I don't know." I said, trying to sound as brave as I possibly could. "A couple of years back, that book was stolen from me. The robber took it from me when I was sleeping one night."

"..." The man wanted so much to call my bluff, but he knew I was telling the truth... at least part of it... my son Remington was the one that stole the book, but I decided it be best if I keep that detail out. "...Where?... Where did he take it?"

"You don't listen well, do you? I don't know." I said. "All I know is that somebody came in around midnight a couple of years back, and stole it from me when I was sleeping... however, if you really don't believe me, then go on ahead, look inside if you wish." I said. I was really hoping he would be on some kind of schedule and not have the time and patience to come in and search for the book.

Thankfully, the risk I took was well worth it, and the man put his flail away, which somehow miraculously didn't send him or his clothing on fire. "If I find out you're lying, I will personally see to it that you walk with a spike in between your legs for the rest of your miserable life... do I make myself clear?"

I shuddered at the thought of that. I knew that he wouldn't kill me; he's had quite the relationship with my family for quite some time. However, he was extremely far-edged when it came to the ungodly tortures he calls 'punishments', and he was serious.

"...See you around... Persephone." he said before turning around and walking a bit. Somehow, Typhon didn't react at all, and just stood there at attention.

"...Typhon! Get over here!" he shouted. Typhon immediately turned around and began walking behind the man.

"...I hope for his sake they don't find him." I mutter as I sit down. "...I don't know what they want the book for, but it's obvious they'll kill just to get their hands on it... but for what reason? What could be in such a book that's so important to them?

"...Be careful son..."

Master Porky Minch: Ok, well, that's that... what... no Lidio, Lidia and Octavia?... They got bored waiting for me to do this, didn't they?... Ah great...

Q: I've never really mentioned it before... but I absolutely despise snow. I mean, there's very rarely anything to like about it. It's always cold, it sucks when you're walking in it and it gets water through your shoes, and let's not forget the shoveling... God, if there was one thing I hate more than mowing, it's shoveling snow... and also, usually when it's snowing out, I'm going to have one of those days where it's too cold if I don't wear the coat, but I get really hot when I do... I don't know, maybe that's just me. So, now that I got that little rant out of my chest, what's something that you hate?
