Fire.

That's all Bulla could see. Endless waves of fire roaring around her. She made an attempt to scream, but to no avail. Images of her friends and family flashed by, all disappearing with faces full of horror. Krillin, Uncle Gohan, Super Uncle Goku, Android 18, Marron, her mother, and finally...her father. "I love you very, very much."

His face was suddenly being held by that monsters hand, and slowly, its grip tightened. Just as it seemed that her father's head was going to bust, she woke up, sitting up to the faint sound of squelching in the back of her head and letting out a blood-curdling scream.

Pan turned around, looking away from the tall man from before. Her face full of shock, and as Bulla looked around, she could see two other girls looking at her. It was as if they'd seen a ghost. Bulla's legs curled up to her chest and she hugged her knees. "Bulla...are you ok?"

"I-I'm...f-fine..." Her voice shook, and her whole body trembled. Pan floated up to her and made an attempt to reach out softly. As her fingers brushed Bulla's shoulders, she panicked, and with a shriek, she swatted at her friend's gentle hands. "I-I'm sorry...Pan..."

"It's alright, Bulla." Pan told her as she slowly and gently embraced her friend. "Everything's going to be alright, now. You're safe." With a few soft pats on the back, Bulla wrapped her arms around her friend, silently sobbing into her shoulder.

"What's going on!" Iwase asked as she barged into the room, several younger boys and girls following closely behind her.

"I'm sorry for the trouble, ma'am. I think Bulla just had a nightmare, that's all." Togata explained.

"No, it's quite alright." Iwase told him, putting a hand over her chest in an attempt to calm down. "I'm glad you two are safe."

Several moments of silence passed, and Iwase escorted everyone out of the room, with the exception of Togata. Once Bulla seemed to finally calm down, she lied back in her bed and tried her best to relax. "Pan, what's he doing here?"

"Mr. Togata was dropping off some things." Pan explained as they looked down.

With a nod, Togata raised the several bags in either hands. "That's right! Some gifts for the two beautiful young ladies!" Pan and Bulla jumped down and sat on Pan's bunk, patiently holding their hands on their laps. "First, for the two of you, I have a few different outfits. I'm sorry if it's not quite your style, or if they don't correctly. My friend and I did the best we could. She has a better understanding for these kinds of things." He told them, handing them each three bags full of clothes. "After that, I got you both cell phones. They can make phone calls, browse the internet, watch videos online, and has an array of apps that you can download. My cell and work number are already saved on both of them. I packed them away again with the phone numbers written on a paper inside." He handed Bulla the box with the phone cased in red, and handed the one cased in a yellowish-gold to Pan.

"Thank you, Mr. Togata." Pan told him, bowing her head. Bulla followed suit, allowing her head to hang as Togata waved his arms.

"Girls, no need for all of that. I'm a second-year student at UA's Hero Course with a Provisional Hero License. It's my job to help those in need." He explained with a wide smile. "If you're ever in trouble, just call my cell, or the Hero Agency I work with, and I'll be there in a flash." His thumb stuck up proudly, and his smile never wavered.

"Hero Agency...?" Bulla said under her breath.

Pan caught on to Bulla's timid curiosity and turned to Hero. "Mr. Togata, what's a Provisional License? And what's a Hero Agency?"

"Haha! I didn't take you for a joker after what happened today!" He said with a laugh. "Sir Nighteye would love a kidder like you at the Agency!" Looking down, it took several moments of passing silence before he realized. "Huh?! You're not kidding?!" He put a finger to his chin and kneeled down to look at the girls at eye level. "Hey, by any chance, do you two know what a Quirk is?"

"Oh, yeah. A quirk is something that someone does that makes them unique. Like if someone likes to spin around three times and clap their hands together before they eat or something." Pan explained to the best of her ability.

Togata was stunned. They've never heard of Quirks? How can that be possible...? Son's Quirk is the ability to float, isn't it? "Girls-"

"Actually, I saw that word on that paper that nice officer had us fill out. Does it mean something else here?" Pan asked as Togata gave her a small smile.

"Yeah. Look at this." Togata raised his arm and took Pan's hand in his own. "Now, let the weight of your hand rest on mine. Pay close attention." Pan complied, allowing her hand to relax on his. After a brief moment of silence, her hand began to fall, passing right through his. Pan jerked her hand back and shrieked quietly. "Quirks are still somewhat of a mystery to us. Where they came from and why we were born with them is still one of mankind's greatest mysteries. But roughly 80% of the world's population has some form of ability. Whether it's some kind of mutation, some kind of enhancement, or some kind of projectile, you very rarely see people nowadays without some form of ability. What's weird to me is that you didn't know about Quirks, despite having one."

"I have...a Quirk...?" Pan's voice trailed off at the images of old comic books that she used to read flashed through her head.

"Yeah, your Float ability." He said, putting a hand on her shoulder. "There are lots of people who can use an ability similar to that."

"But that's not-!" Before she could finish, Bulla squeezed her hand. Looking over, her timid friend shook her head. "R-Right... My Quirk..."

"What about you, Brief? Do you have a Quirk?" Togata asked, turning his smile to the shorter of the two girls.

With a nod, she held up a hand, creating a bright white orb with a blue glow. "I can make energy beams..." Her voice trailed off, but Togata could still make out the end of her sentence.

"My friend has a Quirk just like yours. With Quirks like those, I bet you two would make great Pro Heroes." A brief moment passed before Togata realized what he said. "My bad, hehe, you probably don't know what Pro Heroes are either." The two girls shook their heads, and Togata shifted his position from kneeling down to sit with his legs crossed. "Well, I guess I should start from the beginning then."
