The next day, around the same time, Togata arrived with a young woman that had the same uniform as him, with long blue hair and blue eyes similar to Bulla's. "It's so good to meet you two, Brief, Son." The young woman said with a bow. "My name is Hado Nejire, Second-Year Hero Course of UA. You're both so adorable!"

"Thank you, Ms. Nejire. It's very nice to meet you." Pan said as she and Bulla bowed together, now sporting the clothes that they came to this world with.

"So, once we get back from Sir Nighteye's agency, we'll take you out for something to eat, and then we'll see if we could find you some more clothes to wear." Nejire told them with a smile. Yesterday I only got what I got based on how Togata described you. We'll get you two something better suited today."

As promised, the two were taken to Nighteye Agency. Walking upstairs, the four of them were met by Bubble Girl, and Bulla and Pan took note of her strange attire. This must be one of those heroes that Mr. Togata was talking about… Pan thought to herself.

"Oh, good, you're here! He's in his office, and he actually seems to be in a good mood!"

"Alright girls, the most important thing to do during your first impression: Make. Him. Laugh." Togata explained with a wink.

"Laugh…?" Bulla said quietly.

"I think I can do that!" Pan said happily. "Let me think… No, what about…" Pan finally caught the jokes she wanted to use. "Alright, ready!"

With that, the three of them entered the room, and immediately, they were met with the cold gaze of the tall, slender man. "What do you want?"

Geez, if this is a good mood, I'd hate to see a bad one, but you can do this! Just like Super Grandpa Goku said to overcome King Kai's trials! "I'm so broke that I ended up selling my car for some gas money!" The man only continued to glare at the girls, prompting Bulla to take cover behind her friend. "Don't you know? A harp is just a naked piano!" She tried once again, confidently pointing her hand towards her opponent as the corner of his curved ever so slightly. "I asked a clock for help yesterday, but he told me, 'my hands are tied'!"

A look of horror spread across Togata's face as he realized just how bad her jokes were. Regardless, Sir Nighteye gave a very light, very quiet scoff. "I'll have to admit, you caught me off guard with that." He explained as he got up from his desk. "I assume that these are the girls you told me about?"

A wave of relief washed over Togata. "That's right, Sir. This is them. We'd like to have a recommendation for them to get into UA in April."

"Is that so?" Sir Nighteye said as he dabbed a stamp onto an ink pad. "It just so happens, by on coincidence at all, that I have a letter of recommendation right here, just waiting to have particular details filled in.

"That's great, Sir!" Togata said with a smile as he turned to the girls. "You hear that, girls? You're going to get into UA!"

"Not so fast. The timid one back there. I can't give someone like her a recommendation." He said coldly, glaring at Bulla.

"But Sir-!"

"But Mr. Sir Nighteye! I made you laugh like I was supposed to!" Pan suddenly said.

"I don't know who told you that you were supposed to make me laugh, but that's not all it takes. If you want to be heroes, and be accepted into the Hero Course of UA, you will need to overcome many trials ahead, and without laughter and joy, you will allow despair and doubt to sink into the hearts of those that you'll be expected to protect." He continued, getting up to walk over to the girls. Taking a knee, he put a hand on Pan's head and looked into her eyes. "I am not a fool. I can see it in your eyes that you've lost someone precious, and yet here you stand, attempting to make jokes despite the pain you must be feeling." He turned away and returned to stand at his desk, first looking at the All Might poster on the wall and then to the letter of recommendation on the desk. "I understand what I may gain from allowing you into the Hero Course, Pan Son. But to the Bulla Brief, I don't see how anybody would benefit."

"Bulla, just do it!" Pan said, trying to pressure Bulla into taking the challenge.

"I don't even know any jokes!" She quietly yelled back.

"Try…" Pan whispered into her friend's ear, and she let out a defeated sigh, emerging from her makeshift cover of Pan.

"Mr. Sir Nighteye, we've taken so much of your time, so I'll be 'Brief,' but I think your decision is a load of 'Bulla'crap…" Suddenly, Bulla grit her teeth and stomped her foot, turning to her friend. "This is so stupid! I just don't get how you can be so happy and make jokes when everyone we know is-!" She covered her mouth with her hands as tears began to fill Pan's eyes. What have I done…? She was only trying to help… Her chest felt tight, so tight that she felt like she couldn't breathe. Tears began to stream down her own cheeks before she darted out of the room, passing Bubble Girl and Nejire on her way out.

"Brief!" Nejire called out as she chased after her.

Pan covered her mouth with both hands, doing her best to keep the tears from flowing. "Hey, it's alright, Son. I'm sure she didn't mean any harm by what she was saying."

As Sir Nighteye turned around, Pan took a deep breath and wiped her tears away. "I see. That determination in your eyes. You're going to ask me to accept that girl anyway, is that right?" Answered by a nod, Sir Nighteye let out a sigh. "I guess it can't be helped. You, Young Son, are capable of pulling yourself from the brink of breaking down. A sign of immense mental fortitude, and no doubt because that girl is obviously the weaker of you two." He stared forward for several moments of silence before looking down, closing his eyes. As he opened them again, he held up his signature stamp. "I'll give you three minutes. If by that time, you can take this stamp from me, then I will give my recommendation to that girl as well. But if you can't she will not be attending UA under my recommendation. I don't suppose any acceptance is required, as this is a winning deal for you no matter what. So with that, the time starts...now."

The moment he finished speaking, Pan dashed forward, throwing an open palm ahead of her as her hand began to close around the stamp. At the last moment, the stamp slipped away and Sir Nighteye stepped away from his opponent. "Damn you!"

Beginning to walk out of the room, he kept his back to Pan as she flew towards the doorway. Once again, he dodged at the last minute, pivoting off of his back foot and bending backwards as she flew out of the open door. "What's with you?!" She yelled in frustration as she made an attempt at being offensive. Dashing toward Sir Nighteye, she unleashed a flurry of punches onto what seemed like nothing, as Sir Nighteye dodged every one with ease. "My Quirk allows me to see into your future as long as certain conditions are met." He said as Pan noticed the look in his left eye. It was purple, and the shapes within his iris were almost reminiscent of a clock. He can...see my future…? With a somersault, she slammed a fist downward as Sir Nighteye jumped out of the way, allowing her to smash through the floor.

"In my Foresight, all I see is one recommendation letter leaving my office today." This...This is what they were talking about! This is the full extent of a Pro Hero who was born with an incredible ability! "I have to say, however, I can admire your above average brute force and your combative capability with a simple Quirk like flying." Sir Nighteye praised. "It's a shame that that girl will never match your potential."

"Shut up! Her name is Bulla!" She yelled as she began to speed up, surprising Sir Nighteye as she aimed a Lariat at his gut. Before she could connect, her opponent allowed himself to fall, just barely dodging as he caught himself from behind with a free hand.

"Time's up." He said, looking at his watch. With Pan defeated, she dropped to her knees while Sir Nighteye went to go fill the appropriate information, praising her combat prowess and ability to smile through dark times. About ten minutes passed where Pan refused to move until Togata came to kneel next to her. "You did the best that you could, Son." He said, putting the letter of recommendation into a manila folder labeled 'Pan Son'. "Come on, let's go find Brief." Holding out a hand, Togata could tell that she was fighting back tears as she held his large hand. "Please let Sir know that I'll be taking the next couple of days off until I can get the girls settled in and on the path to prepare for UA." He said to Bubble Girl.

"You can count on me." She said with a reassuring smile as Togata escorted the defeated Pan out of the building.
