Reporting to the Jedi Council, we were able to convey the depths of our situation to them as Ahsoka returned from scouting the perimeter, Master Fisto providing both Master Yoda and Master Windu with our status. "We have lost contact with all clone troopers and Mon Cala soldiers. The Quarren ambushed us, they were ready to attack long before the peace talks came to an end."
"Desperate, your situation is. Reinforce your position with clones, we can…" The transmission began to lose integrity, cutting off Master Yoda before he could tell us whether or not we could expect more reinforcements. Unable to get a response, the hologram quickly cut out as the last of the signal was lost, being too far underwater for it to hold.
"Are they coming?" Prince Lee-Char asked hopefully, swimming around as Master Fisto turned around, unable to confirm whether help was or was not coming to us, though I felt like it would be unlikely.
"But they know our situation, they must know to send help." Captain Ackbar reasoned, having also been relying on reinforcements in order to save his people from this Separatist campaign.
"It may take them a while to get here. We're going to have to get ourselves to the surface and get off this rock." Anakin said, though the prince did not wish to leave his people behind to die. "With all due respect, Your Highness, if we stay, we all die." It was a difficult truth for the prince to process, and I sensed the last of his hope flicker out from within him as he began to give way to despair as it was left to his decision to decide our course of action. I watched him closely, sensing him through the Force as he deliberated and reasoned with himself, before the sense of despair turned into decisiveness.
"I think it is best for us to try and escape using your ship."
"As you wish, Your Highness. Follow me." Our entire group moved in order to begin our ascent to the surface, though we did not move out into the open directly due to the strong Separatist and Quarren presence which patrolled the entire city and perimeter.
"That's a lot of enemy troops between us and the surface." Padmé noted as we all waited for an opportunity to move without being spotted, though Anakin seemed more than up for the challenge.
"It's no problem, I just hope you're a fast swimmer."
"Says the boy from the desert planet." Something in the air between them caught my attention, causing me to glance their way as I noticed a rather close bond through emotional attachment from one to the other. It appears Anakin still had not yet learned how to disassociate himself as a Jedi from such connections. Perhaps I should mention it to Obi-Wan. As his old master, he may be able to broach the subject in a reasonable manner.
"Are you certain your ship is still there?" Senator Tills questioned as Master Fisto swam back from where he had been keeping a lookout, Anakin remarking that there was only one way to find out.
"I'll create a diversion so you can get past those patrols." Master Fisto assured us all and I glanced up once more. I had a bad feeling about this, but we had very little choice other than to try. Heading up first, Master Fisto proceeded with his diversion as we waited, unable to see what was going on above but soon enough, a mini-sub came floating down towards us.
"Ahsoka, you're up first. Take the Prince and Senator Tills." Moving forwards in order to join them, Ahsoka and I took a handle each as both our escorts grabbed onto the side, allowing us all to move up together with a burst of speed as we accelerated with the Quarren mini-sub. As we rose up we could see Master Fisto in the distance with a few clone troopers he had liberated holding off the Quarren as we continued upwards, the ship soon coming into sight above the water.
"Don't you think this has been a little too easy, Master Theca?" Ahsoka said to me as it came further into focus above the city.
"I fear you may be right, little 'Soka." No sooner were the words out of my mouth, the ship above us exploded, the water tinting the flames a liquid green colour and I immediately pulled the mini-sub around. "Dive! Dive! Get ahead of the debris!" Both subs were turned around in order to flee back to the basin, however when the resounding crashes of large pieces of the ship hit the water, we were soon caught in a field of falling debris which forced us all to release the mini-sub to avoid getting caught, aqua-droids now setting upon us. Drawing my lightsaber, I dove behind a piece of the falling hull and sent it at them, crushing them between that piece and another before deflecting the incoming blasters.
Moving to cover the senators as Anakin ordered everyone to use the debris to get to the seafloor faster, I too grabbed onto a piece, holding onto a rut and pulling myself closer in order to plant my feet down and flatten myself against it so that I would not be pulled away from the uprising stream from the descent. Being close enough to the others, I overheard the plan to separate in order to maximise our chances of survival, however when I attempted to move over to the senators and Anakin, I found that I couldn't move. My feet had become stuck, the crippling hull having now wedged my flippers as the debris continued to buckle.
I tried to cut myself free, but I only managed to rescue one as the others took off, Anakin noticing too late that I had fallen behind. Unable to salvage the other, I hand no other choice but to simply pull my foot free and leave the gear behind, so as I lifted off and gave myself a Force push to shoot over to the others, I only had the one fin. "Theca, are you alright?"
"I'm fine, let's hurry." Having to rely solely on one fin, I needed to add a great deal more effort to swim up to speed with the others as we moved through the city, avoiding being spotted by the enemy to find somewhere to hide, though Anakin seemed to have something else on his mind.
"Captain Ackbar, which of these structures houses the city's inter-planetary scanners?" Pointing the building out, I considered what Anakin might be up to as the captain then asked for what reason Anakin wanted to know. "Well, just in case Master Yoda is sending reinforcements, I thought it'd be helpful if the enemy couldn't tell they were coming."
"If we knock out those sensors, they won't see our reinforcements until they're right on top of the city." Captain Ackbar realised, though Senator Tills appeared to be sceptical as to whether any kind of reinforcements were even coming.
"I am sure Master Yoda will find a way to send help."
"In the meantime, we must do what we can to prepare and keep you safe." I agreed with Padmé, motioning for us all to draw back as I sensed Quarren scouts nearing our position. "Skywalker, what do you have in mind?" Giving a rather mischievous smirk, he signalled for us to follow him towards the building structure where the inter-planetary scanner lay. We arrived without being seen, the five of us staying close together as we moved to the support bridges which held the building up.
"Okay, just cover us. We're going to have to concentrate. Theca?" Nodding my head in understanding, I swam to his side then held up my hands in order to direct my focus of the Force. The supports began to tremble and groan as we put pressure on them, squeezing them with all our might in order to make them buckle though I could hear blaster fire coming our way, having given our location away to the enemy. At Padmé's request, we hastened our resolve. Together we were able to cause the beams to burst, the rest soon following as the support structure lost its integrity, causing the entire building to fall.
"Well, if they didn't know where we were before, they will do now." I noted rather bluntly as the collapsing building began to create waves through the water, remains also starting to fall all around us as a chunk of the city went down to land upon the seafloor. We tried to escape but soon we were caught in a crossfire, enemies approaching from all sides as Anakin and I destroyed as many of the droids as we could until there was nothing more we could do. As well as droids, we were now completely surrounded by the giant mechanical creatures and legions of Quarren, forcing us to group together with very little choice other than surrender. "Do you think they noticed us?" I asked with a rare bought of sarcasm, making Anakin huff with amusement.
"Didn't know you had a sense of humour, Theca."
"Only when the mood strikes." I responded, all of us looking at the rather impressive number of enemies around us.
"At least we're taking attention away from the prince." Feeling that this would be it for us, I suddenly straightened up as I sensed a new presence enter the atmosphere and quickly looked upwards. Soon enough, our reinforcements broke through the water and began to attack, large explosions bursting against the tops of the mechanical creatures, forcing them to separate in order to give us an opening and reveal the Gungans. Their sudden arrival completely overwhelmed the enemy forces,
Now able to take a moment to catch our breaths, I was also able to meet the famous Jar-Jar Binks, a rather amusing individual who even made me laugh from his naturally comical characteristics. Redoubling my efforts to destroy as many droids as possible, I joined with the Gungans to fight and some, noticing that I was incapacitated with only one flipper, even helped me to swim around by grabbing my hand to pull me along with them, allowing me to slice through the droids before I then surfed on one of their mini-subs, deflecting blaster bolts. We were beginning to win, pushing the enemy back however our victory was short lived as a huge droid apparatus fell from above, sinking down with four long tentacle arms and two accompanying, smaller versions as it began to spiral around.
It churned up the water, creating a rapid cyclone which dragged everyone in as I pushed away from the outskirts, attempting to stay within the centre of the turbulence though as Padmé called out for Anakin, I saw her be dragged into the fray and quickly dove after her. Going straight into the twisting cyclone, I managed to grab hold of her hand and pull her to me, feeling her arms quickly grip on as I sliced through a droid so that it split either side of us before we could collide and did my best to both maintain a hold on the senator and get us out of the danger zone, but I was not strong enough to swim out of this underwater hurricane. Even using the Force to try and push us out failed as we were too quickly trapped once more.
It wasn't until Anakin was able to sever one of the legs to the machine that the turbulence was stopped, the strong current overpowering the now unstable giant droid which threw it off centre and it crashed into part of the city's structure, causing it to implode and cripple. Padmé and I were still holding onto one another tightly, her arms around my neck as I gripped my lightsaber in my hand, however as the sand and water settled, we found ourselves completely surrounded. "I believe they have won this round, senator." I said to her quietly, sheathing my weapon and trying to think of a way to solve this, but we were too vastly outnumbered. We had no choice but to surrender and give up our weapons we were herded together in order to be taken away. The Gungans also surrendered on account of being too greatly outnumbered, and now they too were being taken prisoner.
"Look." Anakin pointed as another group were being brought to join with us, and in the lead, dragged by an aqua-droid, was Master Fisto who did not appear to be moving.
"Master Fisto!" I swam upwards as the droid released him, holding up my arms in order to take Master Fisto into my care and attempted to wake him, one arm supporting his shoulders as we floated in the water. Several droids aimed their weapons at us but I merely shot them a look, glowering with intense golden eyes before my expression then softened, returning to Master Fisto as I called to him, touching my hand to his face. "Master, are you alright? Master can you hear me?" Beginning to stir, I found myself smoothing my thumb against his cheek gently, worrying over how grievously injured he appeared. Whatever had happened, it appeared to have been an intense fight.
"Ah…Theca…it is good to see you." Master Fisto groaned, wincing slightly before he straightened up and quickly took in our surroundings. The aqua-droids pressed in closer, aiming their weapons and Master Fisto quickly held out his bound arms over me. "Alright, alright, we're going." I too was put under restraints and forced to join with Anakin, Padmé and their friend, Jar-Jar Binks as we were taken away from the rest of the prisoners to be brought before the Separatist commander, Riff Tamson.
"A senator, three Jedi Knights and a fumbling amphibian. I would have thought the prince would be easier to capture than the five of you." Tamson crowed as we were escorted past him, Anakin wryly suggesting that it was entirely part of the plan. "I had the exact same thought." All at once Tamson snatched the senator and Gungan and flung them towards two Quarren guards to be held back and restrained though they both struggled against their captors, and the sight of the senator in danger caused a strong surge of anger from Anakin.
"Let go of her." He spoke in a cold, deadly voice which only told Tamson just how much she mattered to him, making me sigh weakly as he smirked before ordering the both of them to be placed in stronger restraints. The floating probes grabbed hold of their wrists and held them in place as they stood between the probe hood and the platform. "Tamson! Leave them alone."
"Do not worry, Jedi. There's plenty of suffering to go around." Tamson assured us, though the promise was as far away from comforting as one could possibly get as a collection of electric eels were brought up from below, four grouped together to form a live cage, though I noted that there were only two.
"Ah, eels. Very dangerous." Master Fisto supplied before he and Anakin were pushed towards them, leaving me alone, though I suspected that I was not to be forgotten, and probably had a torture device of my own waiting for me. Several droids came to surround me, keeping their weapons trained on me so that I was not tempted to make any irrational decisions as Tamson began to swim and prowl around both Anakin and Master Fisto.
"Now tell me, Jedi. Where is Prince Lee-Char?" Anakin maintained his silence, glaring at the Separatist commander who then prompted a Quarren guard to strike the eels, causing them to react by strengthening the electric charge which ran through their bodies and therefore shocked both of them with painful flourishes of energy.
"No! Stop it! Leave them alone!" Moving forwards I was then quickly held back by the aqua-droids though I felt enough anger to throw them off with pure strength alone. Swimming forwards with a burst of speed I turned in order to roll myself to add to my momentum, slamming into Riff Tamson and then Force pushing the Quarren away from the eels so that they would settle, cutting off the electric torture.
"Watch out Theca!" Master Fisto called to me in alarm and I swiftly kicked again, however with only the one flipper, I did not move fast enough out of the way as Tamson came back at me. With a roar he slammed into my gut, winding me before then snapping his jaws and trying to bite into my shoulder as I grappled with his face, holding him back until we collided with the wall and I lost my grip, having to struggle to break free with a grunt, punching him in the gills to try and find his weak spots but soon I was outnumbered, being restrained with a droid on every limb as Tamson massaged his jaw from where I'd punched him.
"Clearly it is with you I should begin my interrogation. You have far too much spirit, and it needs to be broken." He snarled, swiping out his webbed hand before then streaking forwards. His head slammed against my torso, crippling me instantly but before I could even recover my breath he struck again. The others cried out in protest, demanding that Tamson leave me be but this only encouraged him further as he roared, opening his jaw wide in order to try and bite into me but I blocked him with my feet, pushing against his snout before Force pushing him backwards. The droids then seized me and I was then pressed against the outside of the eel cage and pinned down, endless volts of electricity flaring through my body but other than an initial outcry of pain, I grit my teeth and bore with it, hissing only occasionally as I channelled that pain elsewhere, focusing on maintaining my composure as my body was hardened to such tribulations.
"Theca!" Master Fisto attempted to reach for me but was only shocked himself as I grabbed hold of the long rod, struggling through the electrifying sensation which felt like every nerve was being set on fire before I yanked it free and continued to fight back. Tamson soon grew tired of my constant insistency of not going down without a fight, furiously protecting myself and the others, and in the end had me pulverised and beaten until I could scarcely draw breath. He demanded the location of the prince, vowing he would not stop until someone revealed it but of course, none of us knew where the prince was, and even if we did, I would rather die before allowing anyone to reveal his location.
"You won't find him, Tamson. You don't know it yet, but you will lose this war." I said to him as I gripped my stomach, already feeling the bruising taking root. "Your conflict will end and peace will be restored."
"Peace? There is no peace! I have already won this war! All your armies are my prisoners, and the prince can only hide like a coward for so long before I find him. Foolish Jedi, you are deluded if you think any more help is coming for you. Tell me where the prince is, and I may let you live." Tamson offered but I refused, meeting his eyes with my own, unwavering and resolute as I prepared myself for whatever fate awaited me this day.
"There is no emotion…there is peace. There is no ignorance…there is knowledge. There is no passion…there is serenity. There is no chaos…there is harmony. There is no death…there is the Force. There is no death…there is the Force…" Revisiting the Jedi Code, I made peace with the fact that I could very well die today, asking the Force to guide me according to its will as Tamson raged. All at once he grabbed me by the helmet and flung me over to a pair of droids who then fixed me onto another restraint platform identical to the ones holding Jar-Jar and Padmé, Samson sending me a dark growl as he then left. I waited until he was gone before I began to cough, wracking air into my lungs despite my limited supply and hung from my wrists as I needed to rest myself as much as possible. Being underwater, my body was well supported which allowed me to relax without putting strain on my arms and wrists from the restraints.
"Theca, are you alright? Theca!" Padmé was calling to me fearfully so I managed to send her a smile.
"I'm fine, barely felt a thing. Let us just hope someone comes to rescue us soon, I do not much like his company."
"Rest easy, Theca. Try and recover your strength. How badly are you injured?" Master Fisto questioned me, swimming as close to the edge of his eel cage as he dared. I lied and told him that I was only a little knocked about, and that I would be alright after a while, though my body felt as if it had been caught in that water cyclone once more only this time, being hit by every piece of debris and rock left on the seafloor. Anakin proved too impatient to wait for someone else to come to our aid and repeatedly attempted to leave the confines of the eel cage himself, but the electrified field between them held him back, each time shocking him until I had to gently suggest that he rest for a moment, otherwise he ran the risk of getting himself killed, which would be a most unfortunate thing.
It was then that Tamson returned, swimming into the chamber in order to return to the interrogation. "I grow tired of waiting, Jedi. Where is the prince?"
"Even if we knew, we would not say." Master Fisto informed him, and not for the first time either. Rousing myself a little from the throbbing ache throughout my body, I watched as both Master Fisto and Anakin were subject to another charge from the eels.
"To be honest, it matters little to me. I would torture you either way, but Count Dooku insists I capture the prince." He said, circling the others before swimming towards myself, the senator and Jar-Jar. "And there is the slight chance you're deceiving me, and holding back some information I could use." Coming to a pause before Padmé, Tamson began to run a claw down the front of her helmet, scratching at the glass. "And in my position, I cannot afford to take chances!" Realising what he intended the moment he opened his giant maw wide I gave a shout and thrust out my foot to send a powerful wave through the Force in his direction, throwing him away from the Senator as Anakin also cried out.
Tamson roared, recovering himself and instead, came flying towards me. I kicked up my feet and slammed them both against his chin, feeling the roughness of his skin against my one bare foot and drew a little blood from the effort before he struck me again and this time, chose to break my helmet instead. Jar-Jar, who was on my left hand side, wailed in alarm with a warbling sound as I clenched my fists and glared up at Tamson through my helmet, looking directly into his foul mouth as a fracture appeared in the helmet and caused water to start spurting inside. He released me then, cackling with self satisfaction as I remained perfectly calm and still, taking long, deep breaths before beginning to meditate into a state of serenity so that I could slow my pulse and breathing to the absolute bare minimum.
"Time is of the essence now. Tell me what I want to know." But still, everyone remained silent as Tamson continued to circle us, and I slipped into a deep state of mind which conserved my oxygen as water continued to pour into my helmet, rising steadily until it had encased my neck and was beginning to rise above my chin. "Your friend's time is running short. I'm beginning to believe you're both telling the truth and know nothing about the prince's whereabouts." I heard through my distant haze, allowing myself to remain partially aware of what was going on outside the meditative sphere I had made for myself. A droid contacted Tamson, informing him that the prince had been captured and demanded to see him, making my heart sink upon the news. "By all means, bring him to me. I shall meet you in the throne room."
"The throne room." Sensing confusion from the present Quarren, Tamson soon revealed his true motive for helping the Quarren to overthrow the Mon Calamari as a means to rule the planet himself, as arranged with Count Dooku. It came as no surprise that Dooku would stoop to such underhanded tricks. I am only sorry it was not made clear sooner so that all of this bloodshed could have been avoided.
"Wait!" Anakin addressed, calling Tamson's attention back to him. "You have to save our friend." I could feel the cruel satisfaction as Tamson informed Anakin that nothing required him to save me, and soon left in order to meet with the prince, all others leaving the room too. I sensed them go one by one, the water now above my mouth, meaning that I had very little time left. I could limit my need for air, but it would not save me forever. Eventually, I would drown this way.
"Ani! Mesa have an idea." Jar-Jar supplied, but Anakin ignored him in order to help Master Fisto create an air bubble through the Force around my helmet, allowing the water to drain back out once more, though upon the eels starting to bite and attack Anakin for being too restless in their captivity, he lost control of his focus. Suddenly hearing Jar-Jar make a spitting sound, something splattered against my helmet and I blinked myself awake in order to stare at the rather slimy yellow…gunk, which now plastered the hole and sealed it shut.
"Impressive, Jar-Jar Binks. You have my thanks." I said to him as I looked his way to see him grinning. "You have good aim." He grinned further, informing us all that it was Gungan waterproofing which was why they were able to swim so well. Looking up, I locked eyes with Master Fisto and shared a small smile with him, nodding my head to assure him that I was alright before I started to tug and pull on the restraints at my wrists.
"Wassa yousa be doin' bombad Jedi?" Jar-Jar questioned as I grunted, clenching my fists and tugging on the metal arms which held me, enlisting every ounce of strength I had in order to try and pull myself free.
"Trying…to stretch…my arms…" I grunted from the pressure, fighting against the machine until finally, I broke the arms and the machine shut itself down, allowing me to swim free and peel off the pincers before swimming over to Master Fisto and Anakin. "Let's see about getting you two out of there. I can't say it looks at all comfortable."
"You kidding? I'm having the time of my life here." Anakin drawled in reply, making me chuckle before I began to focus on the restraints holding the eels together, but before I could properly get a grasp of them, the door opened and droids began to make their return. I swam to hide behind Master Fisto and his cage, turning my head so that I could see out of the clear side of my helmet.
"Be ready." Master Fisto murmured to me, watching as the aqua-droids moved in closer, tucking his hands behind his back in order to signal which way the first droid was coming. Waiting until he pulled his hand into a closed fist, I then darted out and pushed the droid against the cage, the eels making it short-circuit and black out. "Hurry, you must go. Find our weapons and free the prisoners first!" Master Fisto directed so I sped towards the door as the aqua-droids began to fire upon me, but with an added Force push I was through the door and it sealed shut behind me, allowing me to quickly make an escape and go looking for our weapons. Focusing on my kyber crystal, I was able to follow its call, swimming as fast as I was able before I located them in the possession of one of the droids guarding the throne room. Taking all three, I used my own to destroy them before then escaping the palace altogether, pausing to see Prince Lee-Char in restraints about to be executed, but in a sudden alteration of alliance, the Quarren came to his rescue before he could be torn to pieces, allowing me to go to release the prisoners in the knowledge that the war was not yet over and Prince Lee-Char had all his people on side.
Taking a mini-sub, I was able to dive down and track an energy field which kept the prisoners inside and blasted it open, freeing everyone within and began to take out the guards so that everyone could escape. "Quickly! This way!" I had the civilians evacuate to safety with a guard of Mon Calamari warriors whilst the rest rose back up to the city with me where we joined the fight. Now that we were fighting for liberty, I saw no reason to hold back. Rising upwards, I signalled to Anakin and Master Fisto, sending their lightsabers back to them before joining the fight in taking on a hoard of aqua-droids by surfing upon the mini-sub.
The people rallied to their prince, and the Gungans also joined us to completely overwhelm the Separatist defences, even with the additional troops from Tamson's home planet. It was an impressive sight, despite the violence, and as I landed upon a large coral rock, watching as the mechanical squid like machine was destroyed by flooding its interior, I was struck with a sudden flash of inspiration as I then looked to a second wave of aqua-droids. "Stand back!" I commanded the warriors as they rushed to meet them, making them pause as I began to focus upon the Force, and how it existed all around us.
I pulled at the water, the Force rippling into motion as I stirred up an underwater cyclone, building upon its size as my concentration deepened upon the Force, urging the funnel to grow broader and stronger, the currents warping into a spiralling mass which towered over us all and began to drag the aqua-droids into its trap. Frowning slightly from the high intensity demand, I maintained the cyclone as the warriors fired upon it, destroying the droids within until they were nothing more than broken parts and malfunctioning wires, allowing me to lower my hands and pull myself back to the present.
Without warning the coral I stood upon exploded, sending me flying through the water with an alarmed cry before I sought to straighten myself. I decided I didn't like being underwater. I was unused to anticipating danger down here, my instincts and senses were somewhat dulled which made me feel highly vulnerable. Swinging my lightsaber, I was able to block and deflect the following blasters, however when another missile came rushing towards me, I hastened to swim out of the way, barely avoiding getting caught but the aftershock blew me off course once more, straight into the path of one of Tamson's men.
Hearing the roar, I felt the vibrations through the water from the force of its sound, allowing me to kick upwards and roll over their back, but I refrained from using my lightsaber to attack. "Please, do not force me to hurt you. We can go our separate ways in peace." I tried to reason with him, but the response was a mocking laugh and snarl.
"A predator does not negotiate with its prey."
"I have been prey before, and learned to become the predator. Do not force my hand, you will not succeed." Releasing a furious roar, the warrior rushed upon me so I retaliated with a Force push which sent him straight back upwards, into the path of others who forced him to retreat before being killed. Seeing Master Fisto fighting above me, I swam to rise upwards, going to his aid as a number of droids were advancing upon his back and quickly blocked their blaster fire and my presence did not go unnoticed.
"You know, you are quite hands on for a pacifist." He said to me jokingly as we floated back to back, each of us deflecting the blaster bolts as they came at us. "Perhaps you are even beginning to have fun?"
"I'll let you know." I responded with mirth as we quickly turned, fighting side by side together. The droids appeared to be focusing their fire on the high priority targets, which included us Jedi. Kicking off a droid as it got in close I sliced off its blaster arm and then cut through the head, launching the remains over my head at the group Master Fisto was tackling to cripple them, earning a bright faced grin. Taking me by the arm, Master Fisto sped through the water whilst pulling me along so that we wouldn't be pinned down, finding a better position to fight and defend ourselves from as the hoards kept on coming. "You'd think they'd be programmed to surrender!" I grunted, deflecting with both blades as I span the hilt over my hand with a flourish.
"That would make things too easy."
"Of course, we wouldn't want that." Giving a laugh, Master Fisto pulled me aside to avoid more blaster fire, his arm now curled about my waist. For a moment I blinked, the two of us spinning slowly in the water as I looked up at Master Fisto. Being close to him like this felt strange, distracting even. I couldn't help but notice things about him, the way his eyes glinted in the water, how elegantly he moved with a natural grace and power, the shapes and contours of his features, his warming smile, and I realised then how nice it felt to be this close to him and to have the opportunity to see him this close.
I wanted to look more, to see if there were new and hidden details that I had not noticed before, but my senses rang in alarm and my attention was diverted, sensing the danger before I saw it and upon instinct, I pushed Master Fisto away from me with the Force, widening the gap between us just as the bombardment of grenades came flying at us. They were bright with a bright force of fire and outwardly exploding pressure, colliding against one another and trapping me in the middle as I heard a distant shout of my name from Master Fisto, lost behind the veil of furious orange and red. My helmet held at first, but then the forces from the explosions crippled the glass further and before I knew it, the entire thing had been ripped off my head as I was thrown about with water bursting against my face, shaking my senses until I was completely without air and sinking, sinking ever into the awaiting dark depths of the caverns below.
