"Uraraka!" Pan yelled as she ran into the facility with her teacher.
"Son?!" Uraraka responded in surprise. "What are you doing here?"
"Mr. Kan escorted me here so I could bring this to Bulla!" She explained, holding a neatly tied bento box. "What's going on here?"
With tears in her eyes, Uraraka did her best to keep her composure. With streams down her cheek, she tried to explain through her hiccoughs. "It was- It was horrible! We were about to- Do rescue training- When all these villains showed up- And they messed up Mr. Aizawa and Thirteen!"
"The entire class was separated. And now, even though they're reunited in the Central Plaza, they're outnumbered, and nothing seems to faze that big bird villain!" Sato continued as he pointed to the scene below. "She's in trouble! And despite that, she sent a lot of the students up here to get the wounded out of the way!"
Pan stepped out over the cliff and looked down, seeing Iida carrying Yaoyarozu, Kirishima carrying Jiro, and Midoriya, Mineta, and Asui carrying Mr. Aizawa. Turning around, she could see Mr. Kan kneeling down to aid his fallen comrade. "You're Class 2B's Homeroom Teacher, Mr. Kan, aren't you?" Ashido asked him, wiping the tears from her eyes with a sense of relief. As he nodded, Ashido couldn't help but ask. "So, what are you two doing here, anyway?"
"Pan Son wanted to bring a dear treasure to her friend during what she felt would be a time of need. Of course, everyone get's hungry during training here and there, so I complied, and I asked All Might to watch my class in exchange for checking on his. Since he's still, uh, catching up on his computer work, it worked out for him to stay. Now, I'm not so sure." Kan had said, looked to his feet.
Pan looked down and spotted her friend, struggling to move as she managed to knock one of her classmates out of the way. Unable to move, Bulla lied on her classmates, making her best attempt to catch her breath. The image brought tears to her eyes. Pan had never seen her best friend so worn out and defeated. I have to do something! Anything! Pan's thoughts began to race, and her body prepared to move on its own. No matter what, I need to be strong for her! She needs my... Suddenly, Pan's body ceased its trembling. Strength...
Quickly, Pan reached into the sash of her hero costume and pulled out the Potara Earring. As she focused, she could see her best friend wearing her Potara Earring, and the familiar voice of her father echoed through her mind. "Whenever your grandpa and Vegeta were in a tight spot, the Potara Earrings would lend them each other's strength." Taking a deep breath, Pan yelled as loud as she could into the crowd.
"BUUUULLLAAAA!" She yelled, catching Bulla's eyes. Pan gently lowered her bento box to the floor, and pulled out the other Potara Earring. "WITH MY STRENGTH, I KNOW YOU CAN BEAT THESE GUYS!" The moment she secured the earring onto her ear, it began to glow and straightened out, as if gravitating towards Bulla. "H-Hey, what the-!?"
"Son!" Uraraka reached out for her friend, but before she could reach her, Pan flew down into the fray, as if being ripped through the air by an unseen force.
In an instant, Bulla and Pan closed the distance between them, and just as the two of them joined, their figures began to emit a bright light before merging. Suddenly, in a moment, two sets of scattered and chaotic thoughts joined into one. This... This power... It's incredible... I've never felt anything like it... In her thoughts, two voices played in unison.
Around her, a sudden gale settled down, and the light surrounding the new figure faded. Before everyone's eyes, a new warrior floated gently to the ground. Both Potara Earrings dangled from her ears, and a pair of sapphire eyes, as deep as the oceans, looked down at her opened hand.
"B...Bulla?" Yaoyorozu said weakly as she began to regain consciousness, looking over Iida's shoulders.
That's Momo... I'm...not Bulla though...am I? "Bulla...and Pan... No, I am neither of them. I guess that makes me..." The warrior turned to her opponents with a confident smile. "Bullan."
"Hey, hey hey hey! What did you do?!" Shigaraki asked.
"I see. I understood the part about gaining each other strengths, but I could never have imagined Fusion. I don't get it though," Bullan's dual-tone voice spoke, "if our powers were fused, we shouldn't have this level of strength. Unless..." It must multiply our strengths, then! By how much, I'm not sure... All I know is... In an instant, a gust of wind blew along the battlefield, incapacitating the remainder of the villains. Unable to react, Shigaraki now sat in the fountain, his warp gate having been knocked out. The scattered remains of Class 1A were now left at the bottom of the steps. With this strength, I can win without a problem.
"Whoa..." Kirishima said in awe.
"What the hell did they do?!" Bakugo yelled.
"It looks like they fused together, somehow... Could that be Son's Quirk, after all?" Midoriya asked before realizing that he had to bring Aizawa to join Thirteen.
"Mr. Kan, do you see that?!" Ashido asked him, looking over the cliff. "What just happened!?"
"I'm not sure myself. I've never heard of a Quirk that allows two people to fuse. And regardless, Son's Quirk is Flight, not Fusion. What in the world just happened to them..." Kan answered, a sweat dripping down to his chin.
"Their speed, and strength. They incapacitated the remainder of the villains, and even moved the class to safety, all in the blink of an eye." Shoji said with two formed mouths.
"That kind of speed... Wouldn't you say it's a lot like All Might's?" Asui asked her friends as they climbed the steps.
"But that's crazy! Even if they did fuse together, putting anyone's strength with Brief's wouldn't just make you as strong as All Might!" Mineta yelled.
"Wha...happe..." Yaoyorozu said weakly as Iida carried her up the steps.
"Save your strength, Yaoyorozu. Something happened to Brief, and she's a lot stronger now. Go ahead and rest... I think our Class Representative will secure our safety." Iida explained to her as she drifted back to sleep with a smile.
"Tomura Shigaraki, was it?" Bullan called out. "You asked what we did. I'm not quite sure, myself to be honest. However, the warrior you fought before is now gone. And in her place, rose one much more powerful."
"It doesn't matter how powerful you may be! My Nomu will crush you and tear you limb from limb!" Shigaraki threatened as the Nomu dashed forward. Throwing a punch forward, the creature was stopped dead in it tracks as Bullan caught the blow without budging an inch.
"Nomu... You called it the 'bioengineered Anti-Symbol of Peace,' a creation more powerful than All Might." Bullan reiterated in her dual-tone voice before throwing a fist straight through Nomu's gut. "It's a good thing I'm much more powerful than that." She yanked her fist out of its gut and snapped her arm to the side, throwing the fresh blood onto the ground. The creature fell over and trembled as the fresh hole began to close. "Oops, I guess I need to hold back if I want to make sure you suffer. It's a good thing that you can regenerate."
"How... That's impossible..." Shigaraki stated as he began to violently scratch his neck. "Nomu has Super Regeneration... And Shock Absorbtion! And he's stronger than All Might... So how?!"
"Tomura Shigaraki. Quirks...they're useless when met with true, natural strength. It'd be as if this thing was a Quirkless child." She told him, her sapphire eyes cold and focused. "This thing... If it can regenerate, then it's going to suffer everything that I want to do to you for hurting my friends, and dragging my class into your sick plot to kill All Might."
"Those girls... They shot towards each other, and disappeared. Did they really combine into one person?!" Shigaraki asked himself, his scratching becoming more violent. "And Kurogiri's knocked out... So we can't escape." Suddenly, his scratching stopped, and he seem to become more calm and rational. "Nomu, kill her!" As the bird creature leaped to its opponent, throwing another heavy punch, Bullan grabbed its wrist and dragged it into the ground before putting her palm to the creature's abdomen.
"You're in the way." She said coldly as she unleashed a bright blue Ki blast, spiraled with a separate yellow light. The beam ripped through the Nomu, leaving an empty hole surrounded with blood and bones. "I made sure to leave your heart intact. I'm not done with you yet." Suddenly, a hand reached through the massive hole as Shigaraki attempted to use Disintegration on his opponent. With his surprise attack failing, Bullan grabbed his wrist and yanked him through the hole in his comrade before it could close. Pulling him all the way through, Bullan slammed a knee into his chest before throwing him into the fountain, destroying it entirely.
"I can't believe it... Nothing would phase that thing before, and now she tearing it apart like its nothing..." Todoroki said, dumbfounded by the scene before him.
"This new fusion of the two girls seems to be quite brutal, however." Tokoyami stated.
"Yeah, don't you think she could chill just a little?" Kaminari asked, looking to his classmates.
"That girl... She said something about needing to hold back." Bakugo reiterated. "So this apparently isn't even her full strength..." The thought of somebody this powerful existing began to dwell in the corner of his mind.
"I'm curious... What would happen to one of us if we had to fight her..." Kirishima stated as Uraraka and Midoriya joined the class at the bottom of the stairs.
"Guys! No matter what, that's still Brief! She's in there, so stop acting like she's some kind of monster!" Uraraka yelled, clenching her fists.
"Uraraka... I hate to say it, but she's acting selfishly, right now." Midoriya chimed in. "She's brutalizing her opponent with unnecessary violence. If a hero has the power to stop a villain, additional violence should be avoided at all costs. Because at the end of the day, even villains are human, too."
"Mr. Kan, shouldn't you step in?" Sato asked the homeroom teacher.
"Believe me, if it was necessary, I would have. How I do things in my class is that I believe in my students' strengths. And this fusion of your classmate and my student... Well, she has more strength than is necessary. She'll gain experience from this battle, so I'll stay out of it for now."
"Deku..." Uraraka began to feel tears well in her eyes again. "Bring her back! I want our Class Rep back, Deku!"
"Uraraka..." Midoriya's eyes focused, and he began to approach the battlefield.
"So, what now? Your master is defeated, so do you just stand there and do nothing. Damn it, why don't you come and give me a real fight!" As the hole in its torso sealed, Nomu complied accordingly, jumping into the air and slamming a sledgehammer downward. Bullan caught the attack, and the ground around her shattered. With a grin, she looked up to her prey. "So you do follow orders other than his! In that case, fight until you either kill me, or I knock you out!" She pulled the cupped fists downward before slamming her foot into the creatures jaw, sending into the sky with a massive gale blowing around them. Now getting serious, every move Bullan made sent a shock wave throughout the facility, and a powerful gust blasted against the walls and trees and ceiling.
Bullan flew into the air faster than anyone could see and somersaulted, slamming a heavy kick down on Nomu before catching its feet, spinning around and hurling it into the wall on the far end. Before it could recover, she appeared in front of it and grabbed it by the arm, throwing it over her shoulder as she dashed forward, firing several pinpoint Ki beams at it. After piercing all its limbs, Bullan flew into the air and fired her Ki blasts behind her rocketing into the air and slamming her fist into its chest before twisting around and slamming another heavy kick into its back. As Nomu shot into the ground, several massive craters formed.
Landing softly, she could see the monster struggling to get up. Her eyes glared at it, cold as daggers, and as it managed to land a single punch against Bullan's face, it didn't even matter. The roles were reversed, and nothing it could have done would have phased her. She slammed another fist into it's gut before cupping her fists above her head, slamming them onto Nomu and sending it into the ground. "Now, you'll pay for what you did." The two voices spoke in unison. As her aura erupted, Bullan opened a palm towards the Nomu, and as a blue orb with a yellow spiral formed in her hand, another hand suddenly grabbed her bloodied glove from behind.
"Brief... Come back to us. You're our class rep." Midoriya said to her. "You made me the class historian. You wanted me to document a wonderful story for this trip, but I don't want to document this kind of behavior... Behavior that doesn't fit that of a hero!" Looking over her shoulder, Bullan's eyes widened. Behind Midoriya was Uraraka, their hands held, and Iida behind them, his hand in Uraraka's.
"It's not befitting of the class representative to display such violent tendencies." He said with a warm smile.
"Brief... This isn't like you! This isn't the you who made me the treasurer. This isn't the you who became our friend! Please come back to us!" The tears that flowed down her cheeks caused a pain to well up within Bullan's chest.
That's right... These are my friends... Whether I'm Bulla, or Pan...or a Fusion of both, these are MY friends. I haven't lost everything. I protected them. Dropping her arm, Bullan fell to her knees, and the class officers kneeled with her in order to wrap their arms around her.
"Is... Is it over...?" Kirishima asked.
"I think so." Bakugo confirmed.
"Yeah... We're all safe..." Todoroki followed as the class watched the small group.
"Everyone... I'm so sorry... I don't know what came over me." Bullan's own tears began to flow as she realized what kind of monster she must have looked like.
"It's fine." Midoriya told her.
"Yeah, we're all safe now." Uraraka followed.
"You protected us, just as your duty entails." Iida chimed in.
"That's right. I did it... Dad... I protected them..."
