"We had a spectacular air battle with Sero vs. Bakugo, but let's get back to a grounded position! Makes it easier to tell what's going on!" Present Mic announced while the crowd continued to cheer. "This next battle will be a interesting one!I frnakly can't pick a favorite here!"

"You've been choosing favorites?" Aizawa grumbled as his comment was disregarded.

"Right, now! King Tut, what do you have to say about this matchup!?" He asked as Aizawa slammed his elbow into his counterpart. "Hey! What the hell, man!?"

"I told you to quit it with the mummy jokes. And as far as I'm concerned, I only see one route that would give one of these two an edge in battle, given the circumstances.

"You think you could have said that without decking me!" Present Mic yelled.

"I already told you several times. Your inability to respect the wishes of others is none of my concern." Aizawa explained as his co-commentator rubbed his temple.

"Ashido and Kaminari from Class 1A, everyone." He said whiningly as he continued to rub his temple. As the crowd hesitantly continued to call out to the participants, Ashido and Kaminari left the halls of the stadium and entered the arena.

"Well, he did warn you, Present Mic..." Kaminari said to himself as he walked. "Didn't think that it'd turn out like this, Ashido."

"Don't worry, I'll only melt you a little, since you're my friend, Kaminari!" Ashido warned as she stretched her arms.

"Begin." Present Mic said unexcitedly as he continued to coddle his the battle's prompt to begin, Kaminari smiled.

"Indiscriminate Shock: 1 Million Volts!" He cried out as he unleashed a wave of electricity towards his opponent. Ashido began to secrete acid from the holes under her shoes, she slid away, as if on roller skates, and Kaminari threw his hands to the ground. As the electricity faded, Kaminari's eyes went empty and he began to smile. "Yee..."

Seeing an opening, Ashido closed in on her opponenet, and cocking her arm back, she prepared to unleash her first and only attack. "Alright, it's time for my ultimate move! The Ashido...UPPERC-" As she threw her fist upward, Kaminari's eyes suddenly returned to normal, and he leaned back to narrowly avoid Ashido's fist. "Huh?!"

With a smile, Kaminari grabbed Ashido's wrist. "Indiscriminate Shock:1.3 Million Volts!" As Ashido cried out in pain, only five seconds had passed before she fell to the ground and passed out.

"Ashido has fainted. Kaminari advances to the next round." Midnight chimed in with a crack in her whip.

"Woah! Just like that, the battle is over as quickly as it began! Why don't you explained what happened?" Present Mic announced in a frustrated tone.

"Why don't you lose the attitude, what happened happened by your own merit. Kaminari was aware that his weakness was public knowledge to his classmates. So in order to lure in Ashido, he faked a state of vulnerability, and dealt the finishing blow when she let her guard down. He's more clever than I gave him credit for." Aizawa explained, looking over his students' files.

"Yee..." Kaminari said in glee, happy to be praised by his cold and stoic teacher. The brain-fried boy returned to the hallways of the stadium while Ashido was carried off on a stretcher.

"Man, could have held back a little!" Kirishima scolded as he returned to his seat with a thumbs-up.

"He..." His single word garnered frustration from his classmates.

"I didn't think you can fake- a short-circuit like that. Quite deceptive of you." Tokoyami continued as Kaminari turned around with a smile.

"Ye..."

"It looks ike you're up next Uraraka." Midoriya said as he looked through the brackets that he scribbled down, updating it to move Kaminari's name to the second round. "You're going against Iida... That's an interesting fight... Given that you're friends, I don't think that he'll try to hurt you. Especially when all he really has to do is push you out of bounds. Although, to be honest, the same could be said for you, since all you have to do is touch hiim and make him float away from the arena."

"Deku... You're mumbling again..."Uraraka said as she tapped him on the shoulder. The realization of his continued ramblings caused him to cover his mouth with both of his hands, blushing beneath his palms. With a chuckle, Uraraka began to twiddle her thumbs, looking down in a slight daze. "You're right though. This won't be much of a battle, and I won't have much opportunity to get scouted from this first round. It's a matter of who can grab the other first. Either I'll make him float, or he'll push me out."

As Uraraka's fist clenched, tightening against her chest, Present Mic spoke through the intercoms, seemingly back to his upbeat attitude. "Alright! Sorry again for that terrible performance last round! I can assure you that everything will run smoothly from here on out!" He said. "Could the next contestants please make their way to the stadium?"

"There's my cue." Uraraka said as she got up from her seat. "Wish me luck."

"Uraraka!" Bulla called out before she had a chance to leave. Turning aroud, her Class Representative approached her quickly. As she leaned forward, Bulla whispered something in her ear.

Pulling away, Bulla smiled gleefully, and she went back to her seat. "Thank you, Brief." Uraraka responded with a confident smile as she left her class behind.

"Dammit! Why do you keep sitting next to me, Copycat!?" Bakugo yelled as Bulla took her seat.

"This is the warmest seat I could find! No doubt thanks to you, Hotshot!" She bit back as the two glared at each other, causing their classmates below to laugh.

"I can't believe... Brief seemed so nice... But she's been fighting with Kacchan this whole time..." Midoriya said to himself, losing his focus in a daze.

"Ladies and gentlemen, this is going to be a battle with another interesting result! We have the defiler of gravity, Ochaco Uraraka! Versus, the jet-speed boy with some seriously weird calves, Tenya Iida! Both of these contestants are from Class 1A, a real dogpile of powerhouses! Let's see who'll win this, and..."

"Good luck, iida!" Uraraka said, maintaining her confident smile.

"You're mistaken, Uraraka. Although we are friends, I'm going to end this as quickly as possible." He told her as he lowered his posture.

"BEGIN!" With Present Mic's prompt, Iida zoomed across the battlefield and skid to a brief halt, grabbing Uraraka by the elbows. In an instant, she was rapidly approaching the edge of the arena.

"He'll probably grab you along the arms." Bulla's words echoed across Uraraka's head. "It'll guarantee that he control your arm movements and hand placements, which he won't be able to do if he grabs your shoulders. But that means that you're shoulders will be free to move, and you'll be able to-"

"Throw myself into his path!" Uraraka shouted to herself as she allowed herself to go limp, causing Iida to trip over her falling body and forcing him to let go. As she rolled onto her side, and her opponent tumbled away, she picked herself up off the ground.

"While he's distracted," Bulla's voice spoke. "Block his field of view!" She yelled as she ripped her jacket off and jumped forward, holding it onto Iida's head. "And finally, when he's disoriented-"

"Deliver a blow to the liver!" She yelled as she slammed her fist into Iida's torso, just above his stomach. He spit up, and scrambled to the floor as he held his hands above his stomach.

"T-That was a low blow, U-Uraraka!" Iida told her, pressing his forehead against the tile underneath Uraraka's jacket.

"Woah! Uraraka purposefully allows herself to get mowed down by her opponent to stop his advance, and used it to counterattack!" Present Mic said.

"I don't get it, though..." Midoriya said, cupping his chin in his hand. "All she has to do is make him float, so why is she going so far?"

"You idiot." Bakugo suddenly said, resting his head on his hand by his chin.

"Don't call him an idiot." Bulla said as she jammed her elbow into Bakugo's arm.

"AH! DAMMIT! I TOLD YOU NOT TO HIT ME!" He yelled as Bulla leaned forward.

"Midoriya, you're right. All she has to do is make him float, and she'd win. But it's not about that." She told him. "Do you remember how you won the first round?"

"Huh? Of course I do..." Midoriya answered, trying to understand where Bulla was going.

"Although it was very smart, do you understand the negative consequences of your actions?"

"DON'T IGNORE ME!"

"The negative..." Midoriya looked down to his shoes and began to mumble to himself. "I suppose it was... Nobody wanted to team up with me...because nobody knew what my Quirk was..." Suddenly, Midoriya's eyes widened with realization.

"That's right. She doesn't have to necessarily win, she just needs to show the heroes that even though her Quirk isn't associated with combat, she's still capable of handling herself in a fight." She explained. "If the scouts can see that, she can still make a name for herself."

"I see... So if she wants to achieve her dream, then she has to let this battle go on longer than it needs to." Midoriya explained to himself.

"I may not have a combative Quirk, but I that doesn't mean I'll just let you win so easily." Uraraka said as she pressed her fingers onto Iida's shoulders. As he began to float, he quickly took her jacket in his hands, and suddenly, he circled it around Uraraka's ankles.

"Hold on! Even though Uraraka negated Iida's gravitational pull, he's using her as an anchor!" Present Mic commented as Iida began tightened his grip.

"Engine...BOOST!" Suddenly, Iida began to spin around Uraraka, wrapping her ankles in her jacket. Falling down, Uraraka felt pressured to release him in order to get out of his grasp.

"Release!" As she pressed her fingers together, she was suddenly swept up. Her eyes widened, barely able to focus on the blue flame protruding from Iida's engines.

"Recipro...BURST!" He yelled as he dragged Uraraka by her feet. In an instant. the world rushed by her in a blur, and then suddenly, silence.

Looking up, Iida stood over her, looking down as the sound of a whip being cracked broke the silence. "Uraraka is out of bounds. Iida advances to the second round!"

"Huh...?" Uraraka couldn't believe how fast it was over

"It must have been uncomfortable to have been dragged by your ankles. I apologize sincerely, but I had very few options." Iida apologized as he kneeled down. "Furthermore, I apologize. I had originally thought that this match would be over quickly, but you made me realize that not only should I have had faith in you as my friend, but that I cannot let my guard down around any opponent. At the same time, I thank you, Uraraka." Holding out his hand, Uraraka looked up solemnly.

"To be honest, Iida, if you didn't wrap up my feet, I probably would have kicked you in the face. So I'm sorry for that, even if I didn't end up doing it." She told him with a slight smile, taking his hand and bringing herself back to her feet.

Just like that, the seventh match of the first round was over, and only one more match remained before the second round would begin.
