Moving Past
He watched them dance across the stage of life:
The bookworm, prom queen, cheerleader, goth,
The huntress, the technogeek, and the jocks.
Some went on to further their education;
Others started families and businesses.
He lowered his gloved hand; emerald tears glistened.
For him, the window was closed and barred.
